Well unfortunately the Passporter has been wrong before on some things (like how many in certain rooms). Here is the article I found last night that discussed the ships. click here Go about 1/2 way down to the area titled Ships - Real and Imagined.

I think Mark was right in saying its the one offshore that Orlando Bloom points to and says "that one".

I don't care if it was the star of the movie or just in one scene. I just think it will be neat to cruise around St. Lucia in that type of ship and as OM says - having it filled with friends will make it even better.

From some other reading I did they really get the kids into the act and let them steer the ship and raise the sails. All in all I think it will be a fun day.

It is possible it's used for two different ships. I DO seem to remember something in the behind the scenes footage that two of the ships are actually the same but with different rigging. I do not remember which two. Guess I'll be watching the dvd in its entirety tonight.

Which is not a bad thing. I love that movie!

Here's some more information - apparently the Brig Unicorn was named the "Henrietta" in the movie:

"The Brig Unicorn--a replica of a 19th century square-rigged vessel--appear in several of the movie's scenes and in the trailers that preview the film's debut. Several crew members of the Brig Unicorn, named the Henrietta in the movie, make cameo appearances."

Stacey - nope - this pirate: is doing something else that morning.......Maybe next cruise!

Good Wednesday Morning All!

I have to agree with Mary and OM, it doesn't matter which ship it was used for, it's just going to be a lot of fun to have all my DIS friends aboard. I don't think the operators of the excursion know what they are in for.

Mary - thanks for the pictures they are great and I can't wait to show the girls.

Key West - booking wave runner tour on own (Was it Scubadvr that posted the company they've used before?)

Kara - we did the jet ski tour in KW in April and used Island Watersports. It was a lot of fun. Someone has booked them for our cruise and I think it was Scubadvr, but not sure. We don't think we want to do the tour again so we just might rent jet skis to play on.

The girls are out of school today so we are going to run errands. AKA - shopping.:smooth: ::yes:: Of course that is after my date with the trainer. AKA - workout :crazy2:

LeiLani.................did you need wet suits in April to stay warm.

Just curious if they are required in December.

Now I've got to watch the movie again, I don't remember the Henrietta. Maybe she was in the scene where Captain Jack was sailing into the port on the remains of his boat? The only ships I remember being named were the Dauntless, the Interceptor, and the Black Pearl. I thought the Dauntless was the one they comandeered, and was therefore "that one".

Wonder when they will be filming the sequel? Was it filmed around St. Lucia? Better start studying that Disney trivia!

Stacey, I wasn't telling you to go to the mall! I was just guessing you might wind up there. Don't go getting me in trouble with your DH already! At least wait until we meet.

Mary's right....no matter what ship it is, it's going to be a blast, and an extra bonus of it having been in the movies.

:p He knows I don't need anyone to tell me to go! He also knows the car is on Auto-pilot whenever there's a mall nearby!
Not to worry! :p

I'm dying here, you guys are going to have so much fun! Darn kids...who wanted them, anyway???

Here's an idea....let's ALL watch the movie tonight and have a conference call set up! Wouldn't that be fun?

Gotta run...long drive downtown.

Have a great day!

But it's the season premier of the Bachelor is on tonight. As much as we swore we wouldn't get sucked into it again this season, I'm afraid we're planning on watching it.

The premier of the new series "Lost" is on tonight, too. It looks really good, supposed to be a good one for ABC. I think it's on right before the Bachelor. And last night was the season premier of the Gilmore Girls. Love, love that show!

Well, all I know is my family won't know the difference between which ship is which and they will all think they were on the exact ship that Jack Sparrow was (unless someone spills the beans!!!)

Anyone watch The Amazing Race last night? so glad that Colin and Christie did not win. I would like that million dollars. Maybe they should have all us Dis'ers be teams and travel around the world. Now that would be fun!!!!!

Talked to DCL this morning. The gal faxed me a confirmation of my reservation, not the excursion, so called them again. Today they told me it will probably be mid to end of October before they kinda have a schedule set, they are still trying to recoup from the hurricane fiascos. I asked about CC and she didn't have any info on that either except they were cleaning up. Anyone heard anything lately?

Okay, work to do.

Linda

:sunny:

Linda - the last two cruises have stopped at CC. The island is fine. Not as beautiful and green as it once was, but they are working on that.

Diana - I love the Gilmore Girls too, but had to give up the premier for the season finale of Big Brother. :D I would have set a tape but didn't remember until half-way through.

Linda

Colin needs to see an anger management specialist. The guy is nuts!

DCL did the same thing to me. It took two calls to get the excursion fax.

There are some pictures posted on the main board about CC. Like Mary said, other then the brown plants, it looks fine.

Thanks Linda, , I haven't watched it yet.

We always record it and I always manage to see the spoilers. DH hates it when I tell him what I know.::yes::

Sorry Jenny!!!!!! At least I didn't spoil who actually won! I'll let someone else do that to you!!! :(

You would think that the person I talked to at DCL would have been more informed and could have told me that the ships were already back at CC.......Communication is a GOOD THING!!!!!

Linda

It's ok Linda. That's the problem with the internet - too many opportunites for spoilers. I always manage to see them somewhere (I also hate waiting).

For me, the spoiler is always the DJ I listen to in the morning while getting ready for work. Some how, he always manages to say who got kicked off Survivor before I can dive for the 'OFF' switch on the radio!! .

Leilani, did you enjoy the waverunner tour? We are trying to decide if we want to do the tour or just rent them for an hour of play time.

Cheers!
Kara

Good Afternoon All!

Now I know why I like to go shopping without the kids. Between all the sniping at each other and all the extra things we bought because they were there it made for a long day.:headache: I am home for an hour then I have to run Alyssa to dance then back home to cook dinner, pick Alyssa up and then I am going to a Southern Living party. I need a drink. :drinking1

Gus - the water was great in April but I don't know for sure about Dec that is why we are undecided about what we are doing.

Kara - we loved the waverunner tour. They take you all the way around the island, and make short stops at several locations. We just decided since we have already done it, we might just want to play on them instead. But I called the other day and the gentleman I talked to really tried to talk me out of just renting them. He said the area you play in is so small and you just get them up to speed and then have to slow down. He rides them all the time though so he might have a different perspective than someone who does not get to use them all the time.

Linda - I am with you totally on this one. I did not want Colin and Christie to win. He was so rude to all the other players and to Christie. And then on the CBS morning show today he asked her to marry him, and she said yes.:crazy2:
