Happy Birthday Mickeymom
Happy bithday to you. Happy bithday to you. Happy birthday dear Mickeymom, Happy Birthday to you!!!!:thewave:

Better late than never? (hey..I was gone all day)

:cake: :bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY GREGG!!!

:cake: :bday: HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARY! (seaulater's step-daughter)

Okay, LeiLani...I think I get the hint...the END of the week!!
Seriously, I'd love to get together again, too! You might be the first to meet the elusive DH, Jay! If he comes with me.

Thanks for the camera info, guys. I thought I wouldn't need a strobe, just wasn't sure. It just always seems like when I have a chance for that perfect shot, a cloud rolls over me! So much for the sunny Caribbean.

Denise, we live in Cave Creek....south of Flag. My husband went to college in Flagstaff. Many, many moons ago.

Vicki...tell Gregg I'm sorry I didn't get his Happy Birthday posted sooner.....guess If I had not gone to the mall.....
Just tell him I said to stay away from those bees!!

Hey...guess what? For no known reason, I have lost my voice! I do have a little scratchy throat, and a teeny tiny cough, but earlier today, the voice just went! All I can do is croak.
I bet you all wish I couldn't type, too.....
Jay thinks I'm giving him the silent treatment! LOL Not really, but if he were ever going to make me mad, now would be a good time to do it, since I couldn't yell at him. :p
The bad part is that if it doesn't come back by tomorrow, I can't give the dentist all the reasons why I really don't need a root canal.
We watched a show on Discovery earlier about this gal from England who lost 300 pounds, and came here to the US to have extreme plastic surgery. They removed enough excess skin from her body to cover three dining room tables. It was gross. But boy, did she ever have amazing will and determination!
I've probably lost 300 pounds over the years. And gained it back!
And lost, and gained.....it's those last 40 or so that are tough to get rid of!
;)
Anyway...getting some hot tea and honey and going to bed.
Talk to you all tomorrow!

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!!

Good night!
Stacey

I have a Canon A80 with a waterproof housing that I plan on using.... Bought it for the Easter cruise - but of course the weather was so bad I never used it. Still trying to figure out what other camera to get for DW. It's got to be fairly easy - point and shoot type.... as gadgets are NOT her forte.

Well - it's been a long night here in the ER...... Work again tonight....

I can't remember if we have any DISers in the Bay area..... I'll be in San Francisco from the 14-20 of October at a meeting.... Let me know!

Until later!

Boy, that would be fun and would I have some stories to tell. Just kidding, I would love to meet Jay. If it does happen I don't know if you will get to me DH Rich or not. He is planning on going at the moment but if his partner wants to leave town at Thanksgiving then he won't be able to go. I guess I can't complain since I am taking he away for 2 weeks at Christmas.

Spent lots of money at the Southern Living party last night. Of course Rich doesn't know that because he came home after I was asleep. I think I will just let him notice the new things in the house and tell him, "oh honey I bought that a long time ago.::yes:: Of course, he would have to be home to notice anything new in the house.:p

Going to read the boards and then get Alyssa ready for school. Britt is already gone to diving practice and then she will go to school.

Everyone have a great day.

"On 12/13, we check into Boardwalk villas, courtesy of rented points from a dear friend...Thanks Lisa! We stay in a studio through 12/17." I think it's Kara that posted this? Sorry, I copied and thought that made it quotes!

We're staying at Boardwalk pre-cruise too, via rented points we got from the DIS rent board. We check in the 15th and out the 17th, in two standard view studios. We'll have to hook up before the trip. I'm not sure where we're staying the 17th. We're doing the parks all day 16th and 17th, and I'm planning on pricelining for something in the Disney area when we get closer. I'm really waiting to be sure my FIL's health stabilizes before I lock in non-refundable rooms.

And your question about the deck 7 forward elevators. Our first cruise, we stayed in 7005. It's a great location! Not too many people use the forward elevators, and Deck 7 forward is below the bridge so you never hear noise from above. Truly my favorite place on the ship!

I'm back from travel. I need to catch up on work stuff, but I did have a commando moment in the Amarillo airport I'll share later. As just a little teaser, I knew I was in trouble when the security guard yelled "that's a federal offense maam. A FEDERAL offense. It's really serious!"

TTYL, Lisa

Hello Christmas Cruisers!

I have been away from this board for a bit and just want to check in and see if there is any new info on special or secret happenings aboard this 10 day cruise?

We booked this in July of 2003 - now it is right around the corner! Time to get connected again:wave2:

Looking forward to hearing back from this Great Board!!!

Therese,
Welcome back! We still don't have the list of what days the theme nights will be. They are expecting to have the out in October. We are within the 90 day mark so you can book excursions now! Many of us are taking the Pirate Extravaganza in St. Lucia at 9. There are also some taking it at 1:15. We have plans for a DIS meet onboard on sailaway day and a wine tasting in someone's suite. Uhhh...what else? Don't know if you have teens, but there is a teen thread for this cruise on the cruise meet board.

Must run, starting school late...anyone else remember anything going on?

Thank you Ohio Minnie!!!

I will check with the boys (DH & DS) to see about this, Pirates excursion - sounds good!

My DS is 19, he'll be 20 in April so if there is any thing else going on for the older Teens Please, let me know!

Great to be back!

Ok.........I have missed the discussion on wine tasting in someone's suite.

My DW and I love red..........we will bring some, thats of course we are invited.

Gus

Let me know where and what time and I will bring some Home Made Red Wine - the guys are crushing the second batch of grapes this Sunday!!!

I Love my Italian Heritage!!!!:cheer2:

From what I remember Stacey said her room was open 24/7 for wine tasting parties!

Good Morning! Hey, it still is, even for the East coasters!

Voice is here, a little. I just won't be able to yell at the employees today. (like I do anyway)
But I DO have enough voice to tell the dentist "No way!" LOL

Welcome back, Therese!

Gus & Therese......we are planning to have a wine (or anything you'd like to drink, even soda) party at one time or another on the verandah of my suite, 8602. Don't know when yet, as we have no idea what DCL has planned for us. We're hoping to pinpoint a time when/if we get some kind of schedule. We may have to wait and decide once we're on board. It's BYOB, and hopefully some of us will order snacks (cheese & crackers, or whatever) from room service to bring, too.
I hope that what I've read is correct....that you can fit a marching band on that verandah! We may need that much space.

There are others here who will have a better idea of how we will fit it in....since we have some early diners, some late.....might be during the day on a sea day...I don't know....but we'll figure it out!

Have a great day....off to the dentist and then in to the office. Have to work twice as hard to pay for my day at the mall yesterday!:teeth:

Stacey

See, I knew Stacey was lurking like a pirate: ! We will see how long she is out!!!!! Start those timers! Of course, if she stops by the mall...................................................

Linda

Okay, my story, while I'm waiting on an email.

Monday, I flew into Amarillo Texas (little airport, with rental cars at a lot out back). A group of us piled into an excursion to get over to our cars. I pulled into the SuperWalmart to pick up some snacks, and realized I didn't have my purse. I called Enterprise, and yep, I'd left it in the excursion when we went over to pick up the cars. So I turned around and headed back to the airport (about 5-6 miles).

DH calls me on the cell just as I pull into the airport. I'm talking to him and stop at the door by the rental car counter and start to go in. A security guard runs up yelling "Maam, maam, stop." I say "I'm just grabbing my purse that I left at Enterprise." That's when she says "Maam, you ran that stop sign, and didn't stop at the inspection station. That's a federal offense!" I hung up on DH and tried to make sense out of what she was saying. It turns out that this airport has an inspection area for all vehicles, and I didn't see the stop sign (or the inspector). I did see the shack, but didn't see anyone in it. Anyway, she just made me go back around through the station and get checked, then park the car in the garage to go inside and get my purse. The nice lady at the garage didn't make me pay for parking, since I was only there about 2 minutes! I called DH back to let him know I wasn't in the pokey or anything. It certainly made for an interesting start to the trip!

Oh, and I forgot to tell you that we have the deep sea fishing excursion booked for 2 of us (currently DH and DS) in the morning at Castaway Cay. I had just paid in full, but the person at DCL didn't ask if we were, and I'm sure Dreams hadn't processed the payment when I called DCL.
