Hello everyone

It has been a very long time since I have last checked in.

Here is our story:

We are a family of 4....... DH 46, DW 40, DD 9, DS 6

We live in Brampton, Ontario just northwest of Toronto.

I mostly look forward to sipping on a Pina Colada around the pool and relaxing, while the kids are busy playing in the kids club. AHHHHH NICE
Scuba diving, eating good food ( hope not to gain too many lbs), and seeing some the sights on the islands will be very nice as well.
Most of all........ I'll enjoy seeing the shock on the kids faces when we pull up in front of the ship on the 18th, as they still to this day do not have a clue about the trip.
It is going to be a complete surprise. ( Listen for the screams )

Its all about the kids and the fun that they will experience, is what I look forward to the most.

We booked in November 2003 ..........just by fluke I discovered this 10 day cruise by surfing the Disney site.
It sounded quite interesting as 7 days on a typical cruise is never long enough. We were on a Carnival cruise about 4 years ago.

Christmas at home is always very hectic ........on the boat it will be just fine for us.

The kids won't even have to miss any school.

It sounded like a perfect trip for the family all in all.

Virgil....you are such a nice guy! (I mean that)

Isn't it the coolest thing...to get to know eachother like this, and wait and wait to finally meet?
It's fun to get to meet a few people here and there, kind of keeps the excitement going.

I think I'd pay money to be there to see your kids, Afff!

My day today went to heck in a handcart from the get-go. I had the day planned out. First mistake. Appointments got changed. Work didn't get done. I had to go to Phoenix to pick up the grand puppy from the groomer, then back up here for an appointment, which was running late, then I was late picking up DD (you know how much fun it is to be late picking up a teenager when they've been standing outside in the heat?) . There was more, but I've already bored you. CALGON!

Tomorrow I will be in the office all day, which is not the norm for me. End of the month, end of the quarter, and pay day. I love it when it all lands on the same day. (Which is 4 times a year- duh...and they trust me with money?)

At least it was cooler today. Somewhat.

4 DAYS, 12 and a Half HOURS!!!! VEGAS, HERE WE COME!
Even if it isn't a "grown-up" trip, I'm still ready to go. See what staying home for a whole month has done to me?

It's fun reading about everyone.....keep it up guys!

Off to bed...

GOOD THURSDAY MORNING TO ALL OF THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!

Good night,
Stacey

Who will be cruising with you??

Myself (44 on 7/17), DH(39), DD( almost 8 when we cruise), DS (3.5 when we cruise)

What are we looking forward to the most when we sail?
The children having a wonderful, magicial time and hanging out with all these wonderful people we have met on this site!! All the prts of call. We love St. Marteem , St. Thomas and St. Lucia. We have been to Key west plenty of times and I have not been back to Antigua in 17 years!

Where do we live??

Long Island, NY. A town called Syosset.

Why did we pick this crusie??

We love WDW and knew that this would be such a wonderful way to enjoy the holidays. We booked this mid july and found this web site on 7/24. I went back last night to the begining pages and found my first post on page 5!!! Time is a flying!!!

I am so looking forward to meeting all of you. I feel so blessed to have found this web site and all of you. This trip is going to be so awesome for all of us and our children.

The ones that I have been e mailing with for a year now I feel I have known for a lifetime.

Anyway, I could go on and on!!!!

Have a magicial day everyone-Gail

:earsgirl:

Morning all! Beautiful day here. Afff, I can't imagine keeping this kind of a secret for that long. I just blab way too much! The look on your kids faces will be priceless though!

Stace, I've been there girlfriend! We all have those days. And I definitely think "Calgon, take me away" in the middle of them.

In fact, I'm a big bubble bath fan. I plan to pick out a new fancy bath set at Bath and Body works to take on the cruise (tip I picked up from passporter trip reports). First trip I took the Lemongrass Sage scent, and absolutely love it. Unfortunately, it's discontinued, and I can't find any of it. I did get a couple of the little hand creams when I was in Texas last week at their blow-out sale, but that was the last of it. Our store sold out the last of it in January (to me!) Anyone else have a favorite scent?

Virgil, what you wrote was heartwarming!!! That is why your fate was to be an MD because of that wonderful way about you!!!

Satcey, I am going to PM you this morning.

Diana, If you need any help with the tanble set up let me know.

I was on the phone with DCL and the tables I set up for early dining all have to be redone so we can all be at the same station or bery close to each other. I thought 3 tables of 8 worked out to be perfect... but that is not how the stations are set up!!!!
I will work on this next week when DD is finally in camp.

VERY IMPORTANT-PLEASE READ BELOW-

AS FOR THE BRUNCH- I am going to take ownership and be responsible for the brunch the last day at sea. Mary and Diana have e mailed me and confimed that want a spot for that day. I am also going on the last day of sea. I have 4 spots still open -I REALLY WISH THERE WERE MORE SPOTS!!!!! If anyone else is intested in joining us -Please e mail me as there are only 4 spots left. Gail17@optonline.net

As for the other two days at sea for brunch someone else can take ownership of the table and be resposible for which ever day they pick. I need to let DCL know as they are holding two tables of 14 for me. We are confirmed for 28 seats total.

WE can not make the tables any bigger as per DCL. I made my last phone call to them yesterday as I can tell that they want this to be finalized. I do not blame them as I have made way to many phone calls to them. They will not change there mind on this.

The suggestion is that if you all want to join us on the last day of sea you can make the reservation on board or if you have a reservation through a package on board come join us on the last day of sea and hopefully we will all be close to each other as Palos's is not that big and we can say our goodbyes. It is a great way to end the crusie. Once everyone has made their reservations that want's to join us on that day. I WILL go speak to the manager and see if he will sit us all near each other Depending on how many sign up. The worst he can say is no.

Otherwise if there are some of you that want the other 2 sea days and want a confimed reservation you all can take one of the days over.

Please let me know if you decide to take ownership of one of the brunch days, If you want to join us on the last brunch day at sea( 4 spots), you are going to make reservations on your own or pass all together. I know the ones that told me they are passing already.

Talk to you all later-Gail

Good morning all ! Running late this morning - lots going on at home so I don't have much time to post this morning.

Love reading all your responses - keep it up!

So do you think we'll hit 7000 today? Wonder who will get it!

Keep posting people - we have less than 6 months to get to gaRry's 10,000 :D

Gail, you probably already know...I PM'd you AND sent an e-mail.:p

Good morning all!

One of my rare moments, not a lot to say....have to head to work.

Yes, everyone, PLEASE write and tell us about yourself and your family. It's fun to read!

Mary, am sending you an e-mail.

Have a glorious day!

Stacey

I don't think there's much left to tell.....Once you've read the newsletter you know all my secrets.... Cash isn't telling his, the big goof....

Can anyone remember what prompted them to take their first Disney Cruise? I only remember the circumstances of signing up for my first when it was still the Premier Cruise lines...I went with a friend and we signed up for the least expensive cabin and, as a result, qualified for the off-site hotel (as you guessed, a land/sea) We had a BLAST!!! We hit all the right activities at all the right times and the whole cruise was magical. Six months later Mom and I took my 13-year old neice on another Premier Cruise but by that time it was no longer Disney....nobody told me they were going to change but there I was sitting at dinner with some Looney Tunes character....I later signed up for the first cruise of the Wonder but had to cancel when my business and my job both took a turn for the worse at the same time and I got cautious about money....Now I'm retired and don't care...HA!

 Just wait until Mom finds out she had dinner with a CRIMINAL stranger from the internet!:earseek: :faint: LOL

I don't really remember why I got started cruising again....I spent the beginning of '03 raising money for the American Stroke Association and training for the half marathon walk that was scheduled for June in Hawaii that year. Welll, I raised the money and qualified for the trip but Hawaii wouldn't let us in because they define Service Dogs as being professionally trained (counter to ADA law). I participated in the Disney Marathon in January this year insteadand THAT is how my Disney year started.

I bought an annual pass to use during the Disney Marathon trip and have just been using it to death....

T.O.P. FOR ME!!!!

4 DAYS......LADIES DIS MEET IN LAS VEGAS!!

I need to pack!

Lisa, I love Bath & Body Works. They finally put one in fairly close to us! It's great for those quick birthday gifts that DD forgets to tell me she needs!
My favorites are Moonlight Path (from the regular line) and
Jasmine Vanilla (from the Aromatherapy line)
Most days I only use the lotions, rather than wearing perfume. I'm glad you reminded me to bring some on the cruise. Like I said before, I really did not like the pine smell of DCL's body wash and shampoo.

and Cash is a refugee from doggie jail...pretty big leap....Death Row dog to Verandah Dog...

All it took was a quick read through Miss Manners and a peek at the pictures in the cruise brochure....
