What a day! I do NOT want to be a boss any more. I am going to go sit on the Grand Jury, and give my husband his job back.
I didn't get nearly as much work done, as I was dealing with big giant babies all day. My children are far better behaved than the bozos who work for us. I'll have to tell you the long sordid story after we get back from Jordan's dance.
Let me just say that I can not wait to leave town on Monday.

What are you looking forward to the most?
Lots of things. The longer cruise, being where it's nice and warm at Christmas and seeing the Magic in all its Christmas Glory!

Where do you live (city, state, country)?
We live in Tualatin, Oregon about 15 miles south of Portland.

When did you book this cruise?
We had DU book this cruise the first day that it was available.

Why did you pick this cruise?
We had done the other DCL cruises several times and it will be nice to visit different ports. I know it sounds terrible but we also thought it would be nice to get away from the family and do our own thing at Christmas. Also (and this goes without saying) the chance to meet all of our online DIS friends!

Paul - this was a big one for us too. The rest of the family doesn't view Christmas the same as we do.

I'm home. What a day. Holy guacamole!

We hired a new guy, 19 years old. Been here two weeks. He "fell asleep" driving to work this a.m. and banged up his car. So he called his dad to come help him. Before his dad gets there, he takes a 12 pack of Bud Light out of his car and puts it in the fridge in our shop.
I wasn't there yet. My other two employees swear the kid was either drunk or hung over. When the kid and his dad get back from buying two new tires, I call them both into my office, ask what happened, ask if he'd been out partying last night..."Oh, no...just tired" Yeah...the kid's face was green and he looked ready to upchuck at any time. Still, I can't fire him...I have no proof. I give a lecture about how we have equipment that can chop your hand off if you're not 100% on the ball...call in sick next time, etc. Just too irritating!
Employee #1 and I had to have a 1 hr talk. He's being incredibly insubordinate. Very bad. I know he wants me to fire him...he's too chicken to quit. But I'd rather he just walked away. Stalemate.
THEN my beloved DD#1 comes over at lunchtime. Claims she hates her new boss, is underpaid and unappreciated and is not returning to work. That's about when I came unglued.

I am running away and not coming back.

So I got almost nothing done, and will have to be in there all day tomorrow, and still have to take DS to the mall to get a birthday present for a party on Saturday that he was invited to last night via the answering machine.

Oh well. Thanks for listening.

Hi all I guess Garry wouldn't answer these questions he told me I had too. I was trying to make a reservation so I could join the fun at WDW in Aug. I couldn't believe it a round trip Detroit to Orlando for less than $140 (tax incl)Wish I could get that rate in Dec.

Who will be cruising with you in december?
me, Vicki age 40something, GaRrrrrrrrrrrry 40+8, DD-Vanessa 16, DS-Gregg 15.

What are you looking forward to the most? Time with my family, meeting friends some for the first time, some already met , (right Mary, Mark, Barb, Virgil & Stace) Palo's and the chocolate suffle' , warm weather and time to relax. time away from work(and being totally unavailable!!!)

Where do you live (city, state, country)? We live in a somewhat rural area of Southeast Michigan- LaSalle. We are less than an hour from Detroit, AnnArbor or Toledo Ohio. Hoping to find 20-30 acres to build a horse farm for GaRry & his babies.

When did you book this cruise? The first week it was available if not the first night. We were booked on the Dec 6th 2003, when this one became available we decided to go for it!!!! I was recovering from a surgery that had not gone exactly as planned and knew I had a long recovery. Garry was trying to make me feel better -- what better way than with Disney!

Why did you pick this cruise? I have always wanted to see the ship decorated for the holidays. We love Disney, & had such a great time on the inaugral Western, we really wanted to experience another first with Disney.

I finally got them all answered.

I hope to be able to post a bit this weekend. I need to do my part toward GaRry's ####.

Basically, we are all about the same age, except for a few youngster Moms & Dads, and then of course, my MUCH older DH!

Morning all! I've spent the last 45 minutes trying to clear out all the junk DD has downloaded onto the computer. Stupid popups!!!!! I think we're going to have a serious talk about computer usage being a privilege, not a right!!

Stacey, sending you serious hugs. How come supposed adults are harder than kids? And if you fire employee #1, doesn't he get unemployment vs. if he quits? He may also be looking to sue for wrongful termination or something of the sort. Hang in there. Vegas is coming baby!

I was hoping Charlotte would have checked in so she could maybe join our trip to Tysons corner that Tina and I are taking today. Oh well. There's always Hershey Park!
