I'm blushing! Actually it is not so much what I know - more that I love a good hunt to find answers if I don't know them. ::yes::

Work is piled high, but the first day back hasn't been too bad.:D

Back to work I go. Promise to post more tonight!

Good afternoon, everyone! Just got back last night from our long weekend (spent Sunday & Monday at DL :) ). Had one of those "Disney Moments" during Sunday night's Believe show. DD5 (Little Charlotte) was in my arms as we got stuck in a poor area for viewing and I was holding her up to see the fireworks and all of a sudden she looks at me, throws her arms around me, and right smack in the middle of the fireworks whispers in my ear how much she loves coming to DL with me...I started to cry (heehee sniff sniff). She is just such a great little girl! Anyway, that was my happy moment (well, that and the fact that while DH was on TofT Monday, Charlotte, Delia, and I were out listening to that funny band they have out periodically at the TofT giftshop and they asked Charlotte to come up and play the banana (AKA morocca in the shape of a banana)...that was a hoot!

Anyway, 11 more school days left! Let's see, that means I am only 28 days until our very first WDW trip....I am so excited I cannot stand it! After that trip, I can get focused on this cruise!

Can someone fill me in on the tee-shirt thing since I am a newbie (sorry, I have not yet made it throught the 390+ pages of missed posts! :) )

Thanks!
Jeanette
(a toddler at 28?!?! Gee, thanks, but I have not seen any toddler with as much gray hair as I have already!)

Hello everyone! Just checking in, this thread moves way too fast for me to keep up but I do randomly lurk...

Hope all is well with everyone, counting down the 200 days. We're still hopeful that my DH will be awarded his R&R from his deployment to make the cruise.

Until then, I'll have my fingers crossed and try to check in now and then.

How fun to see so many people popping in!

Diana, need we remind you of "fluff"??? We love to just "see" you say hi!
Our post office wasn't too bad today. Not as bad as I was expecting, anyway. We did have a ton of mail, though. Just when I was beginning to feel caught up, too.

I didn't make a dent in my work at the office. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth it to go away. (Who am I kidding??)

Jeanette, how were the crowds? I love those little moments with the kids! Did you ride TOT? I did, 3 times...not all in a row, though. I refused to ride it in WDW, so I decided not to be chicken this time. I loved all of it, except the feeling of my stomach being pushed up to the top of my head, and then dropped down to the tip of my toes!
As for the t-shirts, Jeanette....gaRy is making them, there are pictures on our web-site that Mark & Mary put together. Did Mary e-mail you with the details of the website?
Mary's also making buttons, which I am really looking forward to. You are still making some, aren't you, Mary??

Hi Linda! Lake Powell is a great get-away, isn't it? Glad you had some down time!

Going to go lay down & try to get rid of this headache. See what happens? I am forced to cook a little and work a little, and I get a headache! :charac2: Whiner.

TTFN!!!

Stacey

Stacey-glad you had a great time on TOT. I can handle it once, first thing in the am and no breakfast beforehand! I love those rides, they just don't love me!

Linda

TOT is our favorite ride at WDW. One trip it wasn't busy, so we went round and round (six times!) to see if we could catch all of the different drops. I think we got three of them. Can't remember which one was the best, could have been the one where the ghosts are waving to you. Felt like a yo-yo on that one - fun!

My kids went around and around like that...not me...I'd have lost it big time!!!

Yes, we went on TofT, which just opened out here at DCA a few weeks ago. I absolutely LOVED it, as did DH, but Charlotte did it once and that was enough for her. Actually it wasn't so much the ride that scared her, but instead the CMs. DH and she went down for the passholder preview and DH says that the CMs were REALLY into their TofT gig.....freaked Char out with the way they looked and spoke to her...poor baby! We have probably scarred her for life! Well, at least now she has her little pin that says, "I SURVIVED!" on it and she doesn't hesitate to tell everyone of her "adventure!"

Crowds were not as bad as I expected for Memorial Day. We got on a bunch with little to no wait, but we have the advantage of ride switching due to Delia. We shut the park down on Sunday night which is a rarity for us and it was GREAT! We literally were the ONLY people over in Tomorrowland on Autopia. Was REALLY bizarre walking around and being the ONLY ones in the area :)

Okay, all, have a great night.

gaRry (is that right? I am trying to do this from memory)....can you PM me with info on the shirts? THANKS!

Nite,
Jeanette

Jeanette,
You didn't scar Charlotte.....you're making her tough! We started our kids on those rides early, and they've never been afraid. One little girl in the boat at Pirates howled through the whole ride......hard to enjoy with a little one crying so. I'm glad mine have been such troupers!

And yes, you have it right, it's gaRry.

Speaking of gaRry......jilljill and I have a huge surprise for you, gaRry!!!! You should be afraid.....be VERY afraid!

I'm out of here for tonight!

WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY MORNING TO THE HOLIDAY CRUISERS!!!

Good night,
Stacey

Oops....I lied. I'm still here.
Jeanette, did I tell you we were at DL, and left right before you got there? The crowds weren't bad at all & we were there until late Thursday afternoon. I'd wondered how they were the rest of the weekend. Glad it was nice for you!

T.O.P.!!!!!

Hi everyone!

Just got back from IL and we're off again tomorrow to PA to move MIL, so wanted to post before I got another 10 pages behind!

A tornado hit a town just 20 minutes from my parents' home. We had lots of tornado warnings, but thankfully, nothing touched down at our farm. It did get pretty "Wizard-of-Ozzish" there for a while, though. You know you're in for a big one when the sky turns that eerie shade of green and everything is real quiet.......

Congrats Vicki on 6,000 and a TOP, too!

Mary & Stace - Welcome home! So glad to hear WDW/DL was fun and you both had such great times!

Watched the t.v. coverage of the WWII memorial dedication. Virgil - my FIL was in the 100th Bomb Group working on B-17's in England during the War. Heard those statistics, too about all the WWII vets passing on......sad there's so few left to tell what happened. My FIL (like many of the WWII vets) would barely ever talk about it. Really glad that years ago we made time to go to a reunion of his group - probably learned more about what he had gone through during that weekend. (That and watching "Saving Private Ryan"). Could hardly breathe during the first half hour of that movie.

Wow! We're under the 200 day mark! It's gonna fly by now!

Jeanette - Love that moment at DL. Makes it all worthwhile, huh?

Well, I'm fading fast - have a great rest of the week everyone - check in with you when we get back.

:rolleyes1:

VERY funny! I knew it made our local rag, just didn't realize it was shocking enough for the tabloids!

BTW.....Go to bed! I am!

:flower:Good Morning Everyone:flower:

Happy Wednesday!

Charlotte I sent you a pm.

How is everyone else doing? Looks like we will have an overcast day but no rain scheduled. Only getting into the 60's. Compared to the high 90's we had last week that feels great to me, but everyone else around here wants summer. :sunny:

gaRry, oh gaRry where are you?!? :smooth: You are in for a real treat with Stacey and I :hyper: ::yes:: :teeth: :crowded: :grouphug: :love1: :hyper2: :drinking: :drinking1 :mickeybar

Good Wednesday Morning Everyone!!

Not much going on here. Wish we would have some sunshine for a change. It has been cool and cloudy(with times of rain) here for the last couple of days.(Actually, it has pretty much been that way for 2 weeks)

Kids got out of school last Friday but DD says it does not feel like summer. The weather has been terrible and she has to get up every morning to go to Driver's Ed class at 8am. She can't sleep half the day away, poor thing.:p

Lynda & Cash - hope all is well. I saw on the news that your area of TX had bad weather yesterday.

Virgil - how are you doing? Not floating away I hope. The river here has been going up & down, up & down, every couple of days. We set a record for rain in May and I really don't want to see any more.:umbrella:

Everyone have a great day.

LeiLani

Morning all. TOT 6 times? I would have been sick for three days! Now, I can handle the Buzz Lightyear ride 6 times in a row (done that on E nights!), well..............as long as I can control the car (I'm a control freak). DD and DH just don't understand the motion sickness thing. I generally put them on one car and ride the second by myself!!!! TOTAL CONTROL!!!!!!

Ditto on the Pirates of the Carribean. We were with a friend once and she had her two kids with her. She had the youngest boy so scared to ride Pirates that he screamed in line (45 minutes) before we got on the ride and then when we got to the front, no one else would even get on the boat with us, so all 6 of us went by ourselves. Guess that's one way to have your own boat. Thank goodness I didn't know anyone there, I was so embarrased. He screamed the whole way through the ride too. Whenever kids ask me when we are in a line for a ride that they ask about I just remind them it's fun, and there is nothing to be scared about and if there is something they don't like, just close your eyes!

Well, work to do. Talk to you all later

Linda

A nice sunny day in the Great Northwest. LeiLani hopefully it's heading your way.

Just a note for all of you with kids. When I'm in line (esp. TOT) I find great pleasure in trying to put a little scare in the kids. (Bad Paul!)
