20040131 ~ Cruising Jan 31 2004 Western Who's with us?

Put a small rubber band around the Pillsbury doughboy and you'll be seeing what I'd be like in a speedo.

I might have to rent/buy/borrow a tux now. Maybe even get the white dinner jacket.

Your name, Sir? Bond.... James Bond (Insert 007 theme here).

:smooth: :cool2:

"There'a a man who leads a life of danger......"

Another song for Karoake night!!!

Is it my breath? I post and everybody goes away!!!:( :guilty: :worried:

Sorry Gary - it was time to go to the Ice Cream Store. Retirement is great. However Judi says no more Ice Cream Store until after the cruise. Something about wardrobe, sizes, etc.

OK Team, I'm going to give this one more try today. A question you could ask to warm up the Cruise Director: "Does the crew sleep onboard?"

Great job on posts. We're up to 1023.

Randy and Annie - still recovering from the hot tub party, eh!

Sorry, Gary, I had a preliminary qualification race tonight. Yep, it was a race to the beer cooler here at home and I won!

hey cappy I like the questions for the cruise director, they might end up seating us in the ---neck & --couth section any ways thanks to everyone for making the hottub party a huge success, still recovering. Definately an early night tonight Arrrggghhhhh H.A.D.N. Randy pirate:   :Pinkbounc :bounce:

Hello everyone... I have been rolling on the floor laughing at all of your posts today! Especially Cap's definition of a toque. I just got a lesson from our USA friends Gary and Gail who said that you call a "toque" a "ski cap"... If Gary can't get the hats, maybe we could bring some lime green toques... they would look really good with the black speedos for formal night...
I like the idea of a group photo on formal night, too...
HADD!!!

Hello again... I forgot to mention about the formalwear that I am wearing a sparkly long dress (kind of Christmas party style) for formal night and an LBD (little black dress) for semi-formal night... Hmmm - Here's a thought... if a little black dress is called an LBD, then is a little black speedo called an LBS????

I just got home and last time I looked under 1000 and now 1027! I read so many posts (many funny ones!) that now I can't remember which ones I wanted to comment on  I will have to take notes tomorrow. It wasn't a very pleasant evening, so this brightened up the night.

Good night everyone!!

Sorry your day wasn't too pleasant. Stop by and see us tomorrow and it will be a better day. You know we kinda play to a different fiddle.....

Hi everyone!
Thanks for letting me know I was missed. I love computers but when they go down... that's another matter entirely!
As for Capt. Marvin's, Karyn, I found 2 willing family members, aka stingray food :jester: :scared: ::yes:: people, and they want to do the half day one with me. I emailed Capt. Marvins' last night and they said they would try to get me on the same boat as the other Disney cruisers. That said, I would like to do the afternoon one since I would like to have a lazy morning instead of having to rush around with breakfast and getting to the tender this time:hyper: I will do the half day instead of the short trip and when I emailed them to ask, they did say that they go to the shallow area of the sandbar instead of the deep area where it's hard to get to the stingrays. I'm glad, but I will make sure to take my MAJOR sunscreen this time! That means wearing a black t shirt! A 2nd degree burn isn't my idea of fun:sunny: :bitelip:  nor is being stuck in a sarong for 3 days because I couldn't bear clothes touching the blisters. It's spf 1,000,000 for me::yes::
Thanks for telling me about the pre-cruise ressie thing. It makes sense now.
Have a happy night, I'm going to see if I can sleep this time. Too many days of fun with my son :groom: :bride: and his future bride. What a cute couple they make! ttfn, Renae

Karyn,
Here's an idea for you. When you want to pack for the cruise instead of for the big move, just think that if you pack for the cruise now, you won't have to go through 20 boxes to find what you need for the cruise:cool2: Now, how's that for a slick excuse?
I've been where you are, and I'm sending you some pixie dust to get it all done while you are online... hope it helps:wizard:
nite, Renae

Sorry to barge in on your thread but congrats on the tag dheller97. I grew up in Rapid City so it is nice to see someone from SD on here.

I have fond memories of opening weekend pheasant hunting in the Avon area as that's where my mom's family is from. I loved the Fri. night football games and the fun Sat. nights after the first day of hunting. Unfortunately haven't been hunting for a while . How's it been?

Anyway, everyone have a great trip and tell Mickey we'll see him on 2/21/04.

OK people, listen up!
I'm wearing blue velvet, so the velvet police will get you if you are wearing black :duck: Stop throwing things, I'm telling mom!!!
I hope it fits, I think I've gained enough weight :scratchin I think I did that on purpose:rolleyes: at least it's a change from my 'cruise dress' that has seen me through 3 cruises... we shall see when I get out my stuff to try packing! If you see me in green lace, congratulate me on my lack of weight gainprincess:
I can't sleep for thinking of what to pack, so here I am again:wave2: talk to me!
Renae

One day closer...still no docs... *sigh* And it's...BELOW ZERO OUT! Whoo hoo!

It should be this cold tomorrow too...which might help our beloved Patriots against those folks from TN who are probably not used to the balmy New England winters.. *evil grin*

What are you doing up so early? Here I am on tip-toes trying not to wake anyone and you're already here. Must have been up counting Mickeys last nite. Have a great day!

Good morning everybody! Today the Magic is at Castaway Cay.
Adult Beach. Hammock. Mai Tai. Tropical breezes. I CAN'T WAIT!!!
I WANNA GO NOW!!!:hyper: :hyper: :hyper:

Gail and I are starting to assemble our stuff this week-end. The guest room is our staging area. The excitement is building!!! :earseek:

Hi Everyone-
I have to say that I read the posts every morning and I had 4 pages to read today!!!
I just had to comment on the formal nights-- I can't wait to dress up and get an updo hairstyle on board! In high school I was shy and never went to Prom or homecoming and this is my chance to really get all dressed up! I'm not putting on airs because I want to have fun!!! I can't wait to get a picture of all 15 of us in our finest! I got 2 long dresses on clearance after prom last year, because we have been planning this for over a year! They are black and sparkly, so I guess we will all match.
We never go out to anywhere that I could wear a long dress-- so they are definitley cruise dresses!

See you all real soon!

ok watch the walmart put downs. we live in the cuntry so far out the deer and the bear play in the back yard. and i am dressing up. may not as dressy as some but i think the boy's will look so cute dressed up. well us cuntry hicks have to go to bed its day light.DH says the hot tub will have to wate so i gues i will have to think how to heat the pool to use in winter. i think the sun is out but not sure it takes takes a long time to get here we have to pipe it in we are so fare out. goodbuy  have a nice day cheryl p.s.i wannabe on vacation o but not to far that we got our cruise packet. u. p. s. found us goodnight cheryl

Such a great day here on our thread yesterday! This is the most fun group of cruisers anywhere!

Renae, I think for the 1/2 day the only option for us is the morning one. The Magic leaves the port fairly early and I hadn't figured that the pm one would work. Let me know what you find out. I know that we didn't get back till about 1:30 when we did the morning sail last time. Anybody know when we're scheduled to depart from Grand Cayman? I'll be joining you w/ the super-duper SPF, no time for a primer tan this year.

Gary, how early do you have to get off the ship to get a hammock at Serenity Bay? I really want to snag one of those!

Nikki, I guess you finally got that deep freeze that went thru here a couple days ago. We'll be hovering around freezing today, tho it's 23 now.

Renae, I've been putting cruise stuff in my closet anytime I find something I'll need. So really, there's no worries about packing the wrong stuff - sigh, far too organized! Next week after I finally surprise Jill w/ the cruise docs, I'll be able to be more open about it. Oh, and I think blue velvet is nice. I think it's nice that we're doing this in winter and we can wear velvet! I'm thinking about bringing a mostly red velvet, beaded and patchwork duster to wear over my black (non-velvet) dress. I had thought is was too wintery, but it sounds like I will fit right in!

So, gang, how many posts can we do today? Cap, have you refigured our potential final number?

Well, there are 5 people coming over today to help w/ getting ready for the moving sale! So I'd better make some coffee!

Have a great one!

Karyn
