20% Cash Back on Orbitz Tickets w/Ebates

I have had character dining vouchers from a Costco package in the past. On the back they say that they can redeemed for face value at any restaurant inside the park (which we did). Does anyone know, when you turn in these vouchers from Orbitz, are you given a ticket like that. Or, do you have to use them at a specific character dining experience? My thought is that, if they are the same, that you could essentially get 20% off all of your food with the ebates cash back vs. doing the character dining.

When we used them at other restaurants, you had to spend the exact amount, or over the face value. No change is given. If I do it this time, I will buy all kids vouchers instead. That way we don't feel like we have to spend $40 on a meal each time

Looks like I missed out on the 20%. I still need WDW tics for November. Maybe another 20% deal some day? Or, just go for the 10% now? New to all this and don't know how often these deals come around.

Oh my gosh, I finally bit the bullet and purchased our tickets yesterday afternoon! I'm so glad I didn't miss the 20%. I had to do two transactions and I have one cash back pending already. Nothing on the other one yet though, the bigger one of course.

The party is not over quite yet, someone on redflagdeals posted that the deal has now shifted over to ebates.ca (the Canadian version of ebates.com) for orbitz.com, it states that the rebate of 20% is valid on activities.

I am not sure if those in the USA can create an account on the .ca website, I hope so. The payment will be in USD I believe, on orbitz.com, and the rebate will be in CAD, not USD. Hope this helps someone out there!!

And always, take screen shots of everything!! Take a shot of the screen that shows the 20% on activities - it is not listed under orbitz on 'show all' but it is listed when you click directly on orbitz. Also take a screen shot of the click through tracking number - as you click through from ebates.ca to orbitz.

Edited to add, ebates.ca does not show a tracking number as it slides you on through to orbitz - it just shows you will be earning the rebate...

Yes, you are right, ebates.ca doesn't offer a tracking number, but the screen does show you are on your way to earning your rebate... you can take a pic. of the screen that shows that?

That's great to hear it looks like it worked, and please, can you post back here when you see your rebate as pending? On ebates.com it showed within 2-3 days, not sure how fast ebates.ca will be. You will get the refund in CAD which is to your advantage with the exchange rate the way it is now. You actually get more than 20% back, because of this!

Hello, I'm new to this site, I was searching for some inside on the orbitz deal of 20% back but the deal is no longer good in the us, can I order through the Canadian site even though I'm in the US? The 20% is so much better for me than 10% when taking 4 kids! Does orbitz do the 20% often?

I wouldn't worry, this happened to us too. Bought on Saturday and two of our transactions (the cheaper ones) had posted by Monday morning, the Parkhoppers which were quite a bit more took another day to show up.

My first purchase on Sunday 2/23 just posted with $228 back on 4 PH's!!! I bought character dining last night, too! So glad I got them both in before it dropped.
