I’ll admit I’ve only looked a handful of times, but it seems like lots of long lines today. What was the ticket price today? Was there something else happening today (some sort of anniversary event or massive ride downtimes) that caused it? Maybe I just looked at the wrong times and saw huge waits that were deceptive.

Seems quite reasonable given the ticket price. Just goes to show the subjectivity in crowd levels. What I view as not crowded someone else may view as very crowded.

What wait times do you feel were exceptionally high?
I looked a few times while traveling yesterday. After a day at the SD zoo today (holy moly the hills!), I can only remember seeing a high Matterhorn time, high Grizzly River Run time, and lots of rides down. I might have just looked at the wrong times. Like I said, I only looked a handful of times.

Our day 1 is tomorrow (8/1). I’m hopeful that the crowds aren’t crazy, but it’ll be great no matter. I’m not worried about it. We are excited and ready to go!

I'm curious what you thought about the crowds today. I was there and I thought it was pretty calm.

Halloween merchandise dropped in Storyland Boutique in DTD so there were long lines. Stoney Clover merchandise was released today in DLander and Fortuosity so those store were busier than normal.

Extremely calm. We were at Disneyland from rope drop to close at midnight and I can’t believe how much we did. It blew my wildest expectation for what we could accomplish in a day out of the water. Lots of help from here (thanks everyone!) and a manageable crowd. Very fun! Day 2 tomorrow….

I’ll close this trip out. We rope dropped DCA today and did a surprising amount for only three hours in the park. We hopped to Disneyland at 11. A lot of big rides went down, but it somehow felt like we were lucky because it seemed like we had finished riding minutes before the ride went down each time. Like yesterday, the day went great. The capper to the evening? Closing with Thunder—we were the only three people on the train other than two cast members who hopped on because it was the last train of the night. We actually sat on the track at the end of the ride while they stored the other trains for the night. It was truly a wild experience. A great way to end this two day visit for our 14 year old daughter.
