20% Cash Back on Orbitz Tickets w/Ebates

Quick questions.

Looking to buy tickets and meal dining.

We might go in march or october.

Our family is going in march for sure.

1) So can I buy our tickets, put their info in for pickup, they get it in march, and then not use it until october?

2) Will this work for character dining voucher too?

3) Can I upgrade these to deluxe AP?

I had meal vouchers when we went in 2010 and I turned them in at the ticket booth at the main entrance. They took my voucher and gave me meal tickets. I would assume this is the same.

thanks for responding, "main entrance" meaning the main ticket gate to the parks? It would be nice to avoid that area.

I was able to get my park tickets from an Orbitz voucher at the GC front desk when I checked in 2013. Does anyone know if you can redeem the meal vouchers at your DLR hotel? Or right at the restaurant?

My ebates for my tickets FINALLY showed up today!! Its only been 2 days lol now I have almost $300 in my ebate s account and I'm gonna try to use it as much as possible between now and may.....I'm getting me a Dooney and Burke when I got to DL w my ebates money!!!!!! Yaaay

Can someone explain a few things to me? Do they mail the tickets right away or do we pick them up at the ticket booths at DL?

We are planning a trip in Nov so if I buy now and our dates change and we decide to go in Dec or Oct can we change the ticket dates or can they be used whenever?

I'm thinking if its a pick up situation instead of mailed tickets that could cause a problem on when they get used.

Its just that Nov is a long time from now and I would worry about not getting to use them.

This is a fabulous deal! And I'd love to take advantage of it.

This might be a stupid question but I've never used ebates. When you say you get cash back, is it actual cash or is it money to spend on ebates?

Actual cash they send u a check every so often I think quarterly...next checks will be mailed out in may

But actually you get the voucher thru your email, print and redeem when you get there?? So it wouldn't matter when you went then, right? Like if you picked a certain date on the website but didn't actually go on those dates?

Are they like the vouchers you get when you buy them thru the DL Website with Sulley on them?

I really want to buy these because they are such a good deal but we aren't going until Thanksgiving weekend. I'm still up in the air about those dates so if we change our minds and go the weekend before then we wouldn't be able to use them?

My vouchers have Valid dates: July 27-Aug 4th but it also says you have 13 days after first use or on the 13th day of a new calendar year,

Now it does not say they have to be used on those dates and the bar code to scan is above that so I don't know what to tell you, if I had to guess I would say the dates aren't really set in stone they are just kinda for Orbitz use but I don't know surely there is someway to call Orbitz and ask about that

OK . .. think I found the answer . . . Goofy's Kitchen and Ariel's are the only premium ones, correct?

Oh . . . and DUH . . . now I found it underneath on Orbitz.

I called Orbitz to ask about using the tickets on different days than the ones on the voucher and the poor gentleman helping me tried really hard to find answers to my questions and came up with nothing. He read through all of the Orbitz policies, asked a manager and they still didn't have an answer for me.

He suggested calling Disney to see what they had to say. I haven't called them but I think I will just put in several weeks for our dates because I know we will use them in Nov just not totally sure which weekend yet.

The website did let me put in a span of 3 weeks so I think I will go with that. Either way this deal is too good to pass up. We will be going for sure now in Nov. I already have a hotel ressie so we'll be set for the holiday season at DL!

To answer my own question: I just tried to buy tickets for tomorrow and it wouldn't let me. Looks like you have to buy them at least 2 days in advance.

But I'd still like to know when you received your vouchers by email after you purchased online.

You're not the only one. I purchased my vouchers on 2/18 and still have not seen the cashback post to my Ebates account. I contacted them a couple days after I ordered them and they said sometimes the transaction can take up to 7 days to post. The orbitz transaction has already posted to my CC a couple days ago so I'm not sure what is going on here. I will give it another day or two and then I will be contacting them again.

It's weird so many have posted very quick rebates but mine has still not posted.

I have had character dining vouchers from a Costco package in the past. On the back they say that they can redeemed for face value at any restaurant inside the park (which we did). Does anyone know, when you turn in these vouchers from Orbitz, are you given a ticket like that. Or, do you have to use them at a specific character dining experience? My thought is that, if they are the same, that you could essentially get 20% off all of your food with the ebates cash back vs. doing the character dining.
