Looking to spend time at Disney Springs and pool before cruise. Have Copper Creek booked but no discounts, so feel we should not spend that much. Taking Dcl bus to port.

We did a week at Port Orleans Square, which is along the same "Sassagoula" river corridor as Riverside, Saratoga Springs, and yes, the Disney Springs shopping/entertainment "mall". There used to be boats running back & forth which is kind of charming I think. Not quite the Boardwalk Village, but not bad either.

If you are planning on spending substantial time at Disney Springs, POR would be my choice - you can take the boat there. You will also, most likely, save a ton of money over Copper Creek (which doesn't have the greatest pool, IMHO)

Port Orleans is quiet and relaxed. I enjoyed it and the boat ride to get places was a nice change from the standard bus transportation.

I would say it depends on how the price difference is between Swan and the Moderates. The Swan is a much better hotel. You will still be in the bubble as the whole area has a lot to offer and you can visit the Disney resorts there. Also the pool area at the Swan is much superior to the pools at the Moderates. Otherwise my choice would be Coronado. It’s a beautiful resort and its disadvantage of being spread out will matter less on a non-park stay. We love Toledo as a restaurant which has great fireworks views. They have a fabulous bar in the middle of the lake.
