I am constantly amazed at people who show an interest in the macabre just beacuse it occurred near Disney. . . . . . . . this is not really news or rumor. . . . .

Why do you say it is not news? Certainly it is not a rumor, but it is surely news.
Webster defines "news" as, among other things, A} New information about specific and timely events. B} New information of any kind.
Don't begrudge the poster for posting what is, in fact, news................
OK, let's put it a different way, it's not news about Disney! It's obviously news to some one and it was published in a newspaper but why did anyone think it was appropriate to post it here? It happened on a street named of Epcot Drive (which I believe he is actually a public highway) but Disney employees or vehicles weren't involved and there's not even any indication that the people involved were on their way to or from Disney! Why do you say it is not news? I'm really sorry for you and your fellow CM's. It's a tragedy and a horrible, horrible event.the article did not say Disney CMs were not involved so I will give you that, but just because it doesn't say it doesn't mean it's true.
It was a watercraft CM and he was on his way home from work. Epcot drive is on Disney property and does not turn into a public highway until you reach the Disney gates.
I was in the van at dry dock when he called another CM and the line went dead. Little did we know why it went dead.
I'm sorry, but my "magic" is checked at the door when dealing with something like this. Saying it's not news when A) you don't have all the facts and B) It clearly IS news related to Disney because it happened on property and was fatal.

Considering a Disney CM was probably the cause of the accident in one way or another I'm surprised the headlines and work of much more dramatic! It always seems like the local media likes to highlight the fact every time Disney is in any way involved in any local incidents.
You're welcome and I agree that this is a sad story. Thanks to the OP for sharing this link. What a sad story!
