Hubby and I would love to eat here one morning but will we feel out of place with it being a character breakfast? Is there a section for adults without children?

We've done lots of character meals just the two of us. There are not different sections, but it's not a big deal. You will see mostly families, but lots of couples go to them too. The characters just circulate around the rooms while you eat. CP is really great and the Pooh characters are lots of fun. Enjoy!

Nope you won't feel out of place at all! :teeth: When DH & I go to WDW alone we always go to CP...never feel out of place only at home! Have fun. :wizard:

:rotfl: Sorry this struck me as really funny. :rotfl: Can you just see it now?

No there is no adults only setting, but you will fit in just fine and have a great time. The charters will stop and take pictures with you same as every other table. It is fun. DH and used to go every trip before kids, and now since we have kids we go every time too. We love CP and the food is very good.

We always try to get early setting, the food is very fresh then.

Have a great trip. :teeth:

Oh I hope noone got the impression that I was "anti-kids"...we have 2 teenagers of our own! I just didn't want the characters to waste their time with us when there's so many kids who'd rather see them! I just thought I read somewhere once that there was a sunroom or something that was a little secluded from the characters. The poster said that her kids didn't get to see many characters that they seemed to circulate more in the "main" dining area. We've done character meals plenty of times but I didn't want to seem silly hogging the characters when we didn't have any kids along. :cool1:

I do not think you will feel out of place either. We absolutely love the CP for the food at breakfast time. My kids are not to excited about Pooh and the gang, but they love the food also. Sometimes when they come we just remain seated & tell them hello. They do not stay very long, if you do not seem really interested in pic's. Have a great trip, and you have to eat the buffet here it is sooo good.

I'm curious about this myself. I made an ADR for CP our first night there and it will just be me and DH. I love peel and eat shrimp and that caught my eye on the menu at allearsnet! Anyway, I feel the same in that I love kids but won't mind if the characters pass our table by. I'll enjoy watching them interact with all the kids. A table off to the side would suit us just fine.

I am not sure about this, but I think the waiter staff kind of steer pooh & the gang on where to go. Maybe you could tell your waiter that you are not really interested in pictures & stuff. We never take to much time with them, we just kind of say hello, & they are on their way

Going without kids is fine, my wife and I did it before we became parents. Now that we have 2 DS, the only thing that gets me is the number of childless couples who try to "adopt' our boys. Don't get me wrong...we think its fine for folks to talk to them and say hi etc... But one of the biggest surprises we've experienced is the number of people who just invite themselves right into our lives. I understand that older couples miss having small children and younger couples may want to have them. But we've had some scary incidents with people. At 2 different character breakfasts we've had people stop and talk to our boys and then self-invited themselves to a seat at our table! At another, the couple who was seated at the table next to us kept interacting with the boys to the point it was really annoying. Then they invited my oldest who was 4 at the time to sit with them at their table. We were a bit shocked to say the least. We've had a couple of other incidents of "extreme" friendliness outside WDW as well...but mostly it’s been at the character breakfasts. Now...as long as we're with them...we don't mind the attention and understand that being at WDW everybody is under the influence of pixie dust. It just gets to be a bit much when they pull up a chair.

Oh my that is scary!! I would freak out

My bf and I ate at CP twice in September and certainly did not feel out of place. It is loud and crowded and there are many excited children, but it is still fun and the building is beautiful. The characters are very good about visiting childless couples. As for the food, I thought that CP's breakfast was better than both Chef Mickey's and 1900 Park Fare.

Ok I have to say that you might want to consider the lunch or dinner there. It is really good food. (not just limit yourself to breakfast!) :goodvibes

DFi and I always do charector meals, with no kiddies. It's great and we have never felt out of place. The waitstaff and charectors are great and don't make us feel silly or unusual. In fact at CM, Chip and Dale spent so much time at our table (4 adults only) that the little girl at the table next to us asked her daddy if chipmunks didn't like little kids! We sent C&D right over to clear that up!

We have two kids and went to CP in September. We loved it so much we had breakfast twice and dinner once. We would definately go back to eat there. If someday the chance arises that we can get away just the two of us, it will definately be on our must do list!
