2/9/2008 - Valentine Cruise 7 Night Western - Anyone On The Love Boat ?

The back-to-back UK posts reminded me that on our last 2 DCL cruises we met families from Scotland and Ireland. Are either of you coming from Wales? If we can find someone from Iceland we'll have covered all of Northwestern Europe!

Tony

Here's a late post on the two G.C. beaches. We prefer Sea Grape. A simple cab ride and you're there. Rum Point involves a bus and a ferry. If I'm not mistaken, the ferry ride alone is 45 minutes. The trip as a whole will cost you at least two hours of your port time just in transportation. You'll see me at Sea Grape with a cocktail!!

Hi Tony

No I'm not from Wales, we live near Beverley which is in East Yorkshire, it is best known for its race course on the westwood, Beverley minster which is regarded as the most impressive church in England that is not a cathedral and its many pubs, the oldest one dating back to the 12th century.

I hope you enjoyed your local tour, that will be $10 please!!!!!:rotfl2:

Jackie, you and my wife should get together and split a bottle of wine. I can't have more than a glass or two without just falling asleep. :faint: Are you bringing any onboard?

I think this cruise we're going to make a dedicated effort to spend more time at the Adult pool and get more drinks at The Cafe Cove. The past 2 Dis cruises I always feel like I ran around too much.

Tony

Are we bringing any onboard??? Uh ... that would be affirmative! :thumbsup2 I actually work for a wine distributor, so I'm pretty much crazy about wine. That sounds great about your wife and I getting together for a glass ... or three. My husband isn't so much into the wine either ... he's more of a vodka guy.:sad2:
We are definitely on board for relaxing and not doing too much ... this is our vacation too - not just for the kids.:yay:

Good news Tony, we can help you :) .......

My DH2B is a 100 % Welsh speaking (his 1st language)- welshman

........don't worry he's totally bilingual .....so you won't have to learn welsh to converse with him (just as well - I think I only know about 10 words myself :scared1: )

I'm English so can't help you any further than that.........we live in rural Cheshire (as in 'Cheshire Cat') ; about 25 miles from Chester, about 60 miles from Manchester and about the same from Liverpool.

Shouldn't that be 10 pounds? :rotfl:

That qualifies to me! Between you Brits and Winegirl we've covered a lot of distance. :moped:

It is still a bit early for documents. We usually receive ours about 2 weeks before the cruise. But I can't wait!

Welcome Wendor!! :cheer2: and glad you could join us!! We should have a cruisin' good time!! Laurie

Wendor is my DH and he got me this cruise for my 40th birthday.

We are planning on doing a lot of scuba diving during this cruise. We booked out excursions outside of DCL because their selection was rather limited. I am so EXCITED! It is only a few weeks away.

TTFN:tigger:

Almost forgot. Cruise is a present for my wife's 40th birthday (we did 11 days at the Grand Floridian for mine). We're also doing Brunch at Palo on Monday and Tea and Dinner both at Palo on Thursday (Valentine's Day)

Oh, and staying at the Hyatt at the airport the night of the 8th.

Perhaps we can gather this info into one file for everyone. We did this on our last cruise and it made MUCH easier to plan activities for the kids together. Just print it out before you leave.

I can setup a Google spreadsheet that everyone can enter their info into and everyone (in our group) can see. If you are interested just PM me with your email address and I'll send you an invite to enter your info into the file.

Tony

[EDIT] Found out why I couldn't PM and took care of it. PM sent. Thanks Tony.
