2/01/03 Western

I wouldn't get worried about not having docs yet. We sailed on the Eastern last Aug. and we got the docs mid July.

We haven't even gotten the excursion book yet--although it is comepletely available on the web.

I am looking forward to meeting so many of you.

Gina--what time is the Friday night gathering at the Raddison? Want to make sure we don't miss the fun.
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

No Docs yet here. My parents got their excursion book about 3 weeks ago though. They booked the regular way , we booked with dvc, so I really didnt expect to get the excursion book.

I will be calling the second week in Jan. if my docs have not yet arrived.

Merry Christmas All
Felicia

OMG, I can't believe I already got them!! Just now!!! The FedEx man must have thought I was insane, dancing around on the front porch like that... LOL :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Wow, it's really real now :) :) :)

As for the Radisson, I was going to post about that the other day, and totally forgot. Hmm... 7pm? 8? I don't want it to be too early, so we can all get a good night's rest. What do you all think?

Have to go, must pore over the docs like I have never seen them before... LOL ;)

Gina.....that is great news!! Early Christmas news!! lol :) That only means we all should be getting our docs very very soon!! WOOOHOOO!! I'll let you know when we receive ours. I hope everyone has a great Christmas & Happy 2003! :) Will post soon.....

DH called me at work yesterday and was excited. The Fed-Ex man just delivered our documents. Makes it all seem real now.

I've been checking into snorkeling trips on Grand Cayman and found two different providers. I've heard most people on this thread talking about Capt Marvin's. Does anyone know if Capt Bryan's is good too?

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! Very nice for us... my mom and step-dad are so sweet -- they buried a fifty-dollar bill in a pail of sand with a little shovel, and told me that it's "Magic Money" that is only spendable on the cruise. :)

Christmas was the final speedbump before our cruise.... it's zoomtime from here on out!! Do you realize we only have *5* more Saturdays until we sail??? (Not counting the Saturday we actually sail.) When I figure up all the gazillion things I normally have to do on an average Saturday, combined with all the stuff I have to do and get before the cruise, it makes me wish I could just take the next month off of work to get it all done and ready!! :) :)

I was wondering if I could get a headcount for those staying at the Radisson the night before who are planning on getting together with us pool-side? And would 7pm be a good time?

Time for me to really start working on that "still-need-to-get" list!!

MN Disney Fans -- I'm really not sure about Capt. Bryan's... haven't heard anything about them. Hope you find your answer, though.

Terrye!!! -- Where the heck are ya?? All snowed in? :) You ARE still coming, aren't you?? Don't make me use the last of my FF miles to fly up there and kick yer frozen butt. ;)

Hello,

Not sure what time we will get in we are supposed to land at mco at around 5pm, so 7 may or may not work. I havent arranged my transport to the raddison yet, I am going to call tiffany after the holidays. If all goes well 7 should be a good time. If not well see ya all on the shuttle lol.

Had a nice christmas, but have a little trauma , dog in pain, oh no not before a trip. vet is out of town, hope it will be an easy fix.

other than that , those 5 sats cannot go by fast enough, I cannot wait to be out of cold NJ. I am very overwhelmed thinking of all there is to do , work is agonizing to get thru, the days get longer when you know you are going on vacation soon.

Happy new year to all!!!!! Felicia

We also have a room at the Raddison. We will be staying in WDW the week prior to the cruise, but I expect our last night there will be a later one so I don't know how late we will be getting in. If there is going to be an evening hang out by the pool--or somewhere, we will definately stop by when we get in but I don't know what time.

Our family of five will be returning for our third cruise (second 7 day). Can't wait! We're really excited. We'll be dad, mom, daughter (15), son (12){if his grades don't get him stuck at home} and son (6) Looking forward to the western cruise, loved last year's eastern!

See you all there!

O.K., I missed this thread when it was started but went back and read all your posts and printed a copy for my DW to read.

We will be joining you guys on the 2/1 Western cruise, celebrating our anniversary. Ten year ago we sailed on RCCL for our Honeymoon in an inside cabin with just 119 sq. ft. - newly weds need only the essentials.

This time, we will have a Cat 6 Veranda with 268 sq ft. We will be traveling with DD, age 4 (nearly 5).

We are arriving in MCO on 12/31 and staying the night at the Radisson at the port, but won't arrive until very late.

I've aleady booked the 1/2 day Captain Marvin's tour of Stingray city and also the DCL's Dolphin Discovery at Chankanaab. We also hope to do Tea with Wendy.

On the return, we are spending the Saturday at SeaWorld and going home on Sunday.

We still have not received final cruise documents, but wait expectantly for a knock from the Fed Ex guy.

We will look for the green ribbons!

Hope it's not too late to join the fun!!

Wow!! To find your own kind!!!! I'm new to this site and it's so cool! My friends always tease me about being such a Disney Dork! ie: Mickey Jammies w/matching slippers, always a Disney character for Halloween, most family b-days spent at DL or WDW, etc:D But, it sounds like all you guys are just like me!!!:Pinkbounc

Our Family will be cruisin with you on 2/1! We're celebrating our anniversary and one of our sons' b-day! We booked just a month ago so we are still waiting on docs! This will be our second cruise on the Magic. Our first was a 3-day in 2000. We've been dying to go back ever since! We are so excited!

Wish I would have found this board sooner, the Raddison thing sounds fun! We're coming in early evening on the 31st and staying at the Hyatt MCO. Then we'll take the transfer in the AM.

I'm going to check out this Capt.Marvin.....hope we can still snag a spot.

Hope to see Lime green ribbons soon!!!!
We are the Winans Family!
Lisa(38)
Bernie(44)
Spencer(12)
Max(10) soon to be 11!

So happy to see more people joining us!! It's only too late to join the party when the ship pulls back in on February 8th. :)

And Lisa, yes, we are all just like you!! LOL!! In fact, I'm sitting here at work right now in my Disney Magic t-shirt (complete with starry sky that glows in the dark ;) ), writing this work order with a light-up Mickey pin, Disney charms jingling on my wrist as I write, Disney Magic wallpaper staring at me on my computer screen. They roll their eyes at me a lot here at work. *grin*

Paul -- I'm so jealous that you are going to do the Dolphin Discovery!! It was just too much $$ for me to consider. Maybe next time. :)

Allears -- my son was thrilled to hear that yet *another* 6 year old DIS-kid was going to be aboard. I think the entire 5-7 group in the OC is going to be all DIS-kids!!

One month from today, we'll already be in Orlando... YAHOO!!! :) :) :)

Gina, that is so funny, My husband just wore his glow in the dark disney ship starry sky t shirt yesterday and I had just folded it up before hitting the email.

My 6y/o DD is getting very excited, she keeps talking about how much she loves "her club" especially at night when they show movies and play quietly, it will be like a week long party for her.

2 DS 13 and 16 are keeping their cool, I will sign them up for the teenage excursions, but for DH DD and myself, I think I am only booking Capt marvs, and will go it on our own in the rest of the places. Mr Sanchos beach is a good possibility forCoz.

In all the reading I could find the locals said san franscisco beach is the best, and that is where Mr. Sanchos is. If anyone has any info to share please do, Im still a bit up in the air about the best choices. (alot of people out there say save the $$ and do things on your own, even in key west. )

I am hoping to possibly take advantage of any on board deals they offer for a cruise next year. I heard they are worth taking a close look at. This exact cruise was on my deal offer of my march 2002 wonder cruise and If I booked it there I would have had a $200 on board credit. Oh well.

I am really counting down and too excited!!

Has anyone received their cruise docs yet? We booked through DVC and never received the excursion information. I'm concerned that we might not receive our docs either?

Maybe I'm just getting overly excited about the trip...is this too soon to be watching for the FedEx guy?

My Mom and Dad are going with us on 2/1/03 and they have not yet received there Doc's yet, there rep. said about 3 weeks out and they will get the Doc's, we however for the same cruise rec'd our Doc's last week, Our TA told us because we booked our own air, that is why we got ours so quickly...

Norm and Kim Shabarekh

We are in the same boat

My mom and dad paid cash and got their docs

My family booked DVC and no docs yet.

I called DVC and they said dont worry until 2 weeks out.

I'm sure the rest of you will get the docs soon. My docs are here and in a strong box at the foot of the bed just waiting for that final day.

Gina,

I'm feeling kind of left out because your posse will meet at the Radisson the night 'fore. I guess we'll just find each other when we sail. I'll have my mini-bubbles with me.

I haven't looked for any lime green ribbon yet. Last year I had the ribbon on my bags and no one noticed. I'm positive there will be several DIS members. I found your other link for those who are interested: The DIS 02-01-03 Western Rollcall

Just sitting here waiting for countdown clock to turn to 30. It's set to the time my plane takes off.

Happy New Year to all!

Still waiting for our documents too! We also booked through DVC. My parents booked through DU and received theirs. My aunt also book through DU, but she has not recieved hers. I guess they send them out in different batches.

We won't be at the Radisson on Friday night either. We are staying at OKW and going to Downtown Disney for some pre-cruise shopping! I think we are going to swing by the Character Warehouse (Disney Outlet) on the way to the port on Saturday morning. It won't be long now!!

Hi,

Linda here, Pauls better half ha ha,

The trading pins. Are they only Disney pins,or are all kinds of trading pins allowed?

Still waiting for docs.

Started to pack. Even got DD4 her own Disney rolling princess luggage. It's so cool, it lights up.

What's this packing list (color coded) I keep reading about of Gina's? How do I find it?

Lime Green!!! One of my all time favorite colors. Where do you find the ribbons?
My sun hat, beach bag, and cover up are, you guessed it lime green.

Got to go (cleaning augh)
Linda
