There are several locations along the "Redneck Riviera" (Lower Alabama, and the FL Panhandle) that are famous gathering spots for boaters and swimmers. The most famous is Crab Island near Destin. There's one at the FL/AL state line along the Intracoastal Waterway. Also one near Pensacola.
