1st Time Cruiser = Questions

I cant find any reviews on that excursion. I tried searching for ECO Tour.

According to my Passporter it's $95 single $160 double
It's about an hour long. From what I'm reading, everyone seems to have enjoyed it. Good photo ops and bring watershoes. A knowledgeable tour guide goes with you at a "brisk pace" while seeing "gorgeous views" of Castaway Cay and the Abacos.

We sailed the Eastern last year and then DH and I went back to the Vis for our 20th Ann for a week.

As far as excursions - you can have a good time and save a good bit if you do it yourself.

St. M. Look at all that is offered and if something sounds good you can get a taxi to "it". Most people prefer going to the French side.

In St.T I highly suggest going to St. John on your own.

Plan to get off the ship ASAP. Grab a taxi to Red Hook, Ferry to Cruz Bay, Taxi to Trunk Bay. There is a lot to see in Cruz Bay. We ate at a great Mexican place for lunch. My sister, her DH and two DDs did this so I know you can. In fact when DH and I did it while staying in St. T the ferry was full of families off a Carnival ship. You just need to allow 2.5 hours to get back to play it safe from when the ship sails (usually a 4:30 all-aboard so 2:00 in a Taxi at Trunk Bay.) If you get back faster you can shop at Heavensight.

Trunk Bay was one of the most amazing places I've seen. We liked several spots in the British VIs but you will not have time to do that.

Not quite sure I got all this, but thank you. There are places we can go on the island that are 2 and a half hours away??? Geez. I don't know if we would want to take so much time travelling. I guess I was under the impression most things were KINDA close to where we are let off. Guess it's me and my never been to an island in my life ignorance.

How would I know how or where to book excursions "On my own?" Are they the same excursions, just simply not booked by Disney for convience? Can I also book them in advance, just like going through Disney? Just wanna make sure we know the real difference between through and not through DCL.

Hi ZeonStar!

We are on the same cruise as you!

We have a thread on the Cruise Meets section; several of us cruised this same cruise last year and we can help answer some questions! It's also a fun way to "meet" fellow passangers ahead of time.:thumbsup2

Congrats!!

Oh that's cool. Maybe we will see you...and not know we're seeing you. Ha ha.

Only thing I am curious about now is how to book and compare shore excursions doing them ourselves VS using Disney.

I had a friend visit from out of state today and got to talking about my honeymoon to the Caribbean. He said I have got to try some Scuba Diving.

Is there an option for it on any of the 3 islands we will be at during our Cruise?

Hope people are still looking at this thread, wanted to ask something for peace of mind.

Right now our Cruise, through AAA, has our Pick up to goto Port the morning of the Cruise to be from The Grand Flordian. We are not actually staying there, but do have breakfast reserved there that morning. It wont a problem we aren't actually staying there will it?

We are hoping to check our of our Hotel (where ever we end up staying), head to the GF and have them hold our bags while we eat, then head to the Cruise.

What time is the pickup to goto Port? I'm guessing it's a Bus right?

Just wanna make sure all goes smoothly! :yay: pirate: :confused3
