Was wondering if anyone could tell me if 1900 Park Fare was a buffet that they bring to your table, or is it your normal kind where you go though the line ? Thank you

Because of so many different types of food that they offer its a buffet like Chef Mickeys.

Check out Allearsnet.com for a menu.

However, they'll 'bring' Prince Charming to your table

This has become our favorite character meal. The food is incredible! Not your standard lukewarm buffet crud. :earboy2:

This was our favorite character meal as well. Great variety of food. The character interaction was wonderful. This was our first meal at Disney. We checked into our hotel, road the bus to MK and then the boat to GF. The girls changed into their Princess dresses and we were dining by 5pm. Our waitress was very helpful (we had the dining plan and she told us about the smoothies we could order) and we never felt rushed.

Don't forget to try the Strawberry Soup!

Mmmm. The strawberry soup was so tasty.
This was our favorite buffet.
This Oct. we are going here for both breakfast and dinner.

You took the words right out of my key board. The strawberry soup is awesome. We will also be going for dinner and breakfast in October. Hands down some of the best food on site.

Its the very best Disney meal - fantastic food ..........oh, and that strawberry soup! :cool1:

Do they have the strawberry soup at the breakfast buffet or the dinner buffet?

We did breakfast there just last week and it was the BEST!!!! I had two bowls of the strawberry soup. YUMMMM!!!

We just returned from Disney on Monday. 1900 Park Fare was our least fav of all the character meals. The food was just okay, the service was awful, and the characters were slow to come around. Many people were complaining about not getting to see Cinderella because it was taking too long. We waited an extra 30 mins for her to come to our table after we had finished eating. This was our first and last time eating there.

To Sonya D
Wanted to apologize for your unhappy experience at 1900 Park Fair. I work there quite often with Cindy and it is so difficult to make it around that restaurant and spend quality time with the families without taking up some time. Often the characters get little or no break before they have to start their rotation all over again. Each time around usually takes them about an hour or so. I just worked there on Thursday of last week and felt so rushed because they over booked the seatings. Hopefully it wasn't me receiving complaints :guilty: but I am sorry you had such a bad time there.

We just returned from our trip and we had breakfast at the GF Awesome!! The best ever, so we decided to got back and try it for dinner and all I can say was YUCK YUCK!!!!!!!! The Worst buffet ever!!! I cannot beleive all of these people actually enjoyed it?!?!?!? :earseek:

To those who said it was bad- could you be more specific? We have a ressie there so I'm curious! Thanks!

We just did this dinner buffet on 8/26/05 and really enjoyed it. Our server was a blond haired sweetie (can't remember her name right now) who not only allowed specialty drinks w/light cubes but also recommended a delicious berry smoothie for me. We really enjoyed the food, I thought the prime rib was very good and the veggies were so tasty. My son loved his salmon (he ate salmon at every TS of the trip) and we both thought the strawberry soup was wonderful. The way the characters are kind of spread out between visits kind of makes you look over your shoulder when you are getting food but overall it was a very pleasant experience when we were there and where else do you get to meet Prince Charming himself (my DD7 told him he was "dreamy"). My little girl (she's so shy  ) also helped the waitress and I think Perla and Suzy sing Happy Birthday to a girl at the next table (after announcing to her "that cupcake over there is a bday surprise for you but you weren't here when the waitress brought it...the waitress had set it aside a bit to surprise the little girl in a minute).

My mom and I ate there for breakfast on 8/26. It was good, but I enjoyed the Chef Mickey's breakfast buffet better (plus, I just favor the classic characters, over Alice and Pooh - Mary Poppins wasn't there that day).

I think something that might have also affected my enjoyment of it - when it's so HOT outside, you almost forget how much it affects your appetite. Whereas in April I absolutely STUFFED myself at CM's for breakfast, I barely ate half a plate of food at 1900 PF. (And, our server wasn't that good - and we were a late seating, so the restaurant was half empty.)

Well, I really didn't find it to have a big selection, and for the money your paying there should have been a lot more. We went on the wrong night I think because there was different types of fish (I don't like fish) and the rest of the food was awful. The desserts were great!! That was pretty much all that I ate. But from previous trips in the past when we have been there it were still horrible, yet we still keep going back...... :confused3

Tink22 We're having breakfast there on the morning of our wedding. Cant wait !

Cinderella222- thanks for the info! I have to admit, I'm not a buffet person, so even though I have heard mostly good things about 1900 Park Faire- I'm still a little apprehensive. I have two little girls that will love the characters- but I guess I also want to enjoy the food as well! I guess we'll probably end up trying it- and then I'll see if I agree with you!
