160 extra Disney Rewards Points by asking...

About 2 months ago we go the $200 offer mailed to us. Applied in DH and my names and we both got cards, so that is $400 :cool1:[/QUOTE]

Wow nice work so yuo each have your own accounts? and a card for each account? Just wondering We have our current account i signed up in 07 and added my DW. Your saying she could sign up for her own account and add me? To get the $200/point offer under her name?

Thanks for the info!:goodvibes:goodvibes

You can each get up to 3 Disney Visa cards as primary account holder. A married couple could have 6 cards (3 each). My DH and I both had cards from years ago when we got a $50 offer. We each signed up for 2 more cards recently and received the bonus rewards for all four of those the sign ups. We had a lot of good luck and received multiple mailings for $200 offers. I do not have any advise on how to get mailed an offer.

Now, I caution you that this will negatively affect your credit rating, so multiple cards might not be a good idea for everyone. In our case that was not a major concern.

Wow! That is great that they did for you. I signed up early 2008 and received nothing. But, that's ok. I got my first promotion code and I'm getting triple points on all purchases from July to September so I'm happy about that!
Wow, wish I'd gotten that promo! I'm trying to rack up points to use on our trip next May & triple points on everything would've been a big help!

I got my card back in 2006 & got a $50 bonus. Don't think I can write to them & ask for the difference 4 years later. :lmao:

Do all of your cards have the same account number? or are they all differn't accounts? Thanks

And kiss your credit score good by... Not enough credit is as bad as too much credit...

Wanna play? then google 'App-O-Rama'

Promotion code? How do you get that?

Triple points would be awesome! We're in the process of buying a new home, and we need furniture! We could rack up some major points!

That's why I cautioned about the credit rating impact. But in my situation it didn't impact my score much at all. I've checked the before and after results. For others it could be a major mistake if you are looking to refinance a home soon etc.

My card says that too and I got a pin when I signed up. Too bad they give out reward dollars now....instead of when they were first getting people to sign up

I just did this too...we got DH's Disney Visa in 10/09 with the $25 GC deal. They said they can offer to change the sign-up offer within 60 days of opening an account, but they still credited my account with 175 additional dollars! I'm thrilled! Thanks for posting this, it never would have occurred to me otherwise!

My wife just got a disney card too and she did it for another 160 points, we have made $320 in rewards together! :)

Good for you! I just looked and the current offer to apply is only a $15 gift card-whoopie do...

I wish I would have thought to apply for one in DH's name when the $200 gift card offer was out.

Where is the 200.00 Reward offer listed? My husband has been thinking about signing up to get the reward but I can't find this offer anywhere.

It was mailed to random people...at least that's how I got it (we already had a card under my husbands name). No idea WHY I got it...You may just want to sign up under the current $100 offer and then request the remaining 100 afterwards.

I called Chase a couple of weeks about this issue. I signed up for the card at my branch and only got the $25. Chase is my primary bank, I have multiple accounts with them for years. When I spoke to C/S, I told her that I thought it was unfair that a pre-existing, in good standing, and loyal Chase Customer received the lowest incentive while non-Chase customers received offerings of up to $200.00. I was firm but not combative. I was honest, I told her this isn't something I would close my account over, I just thought it was unfair. A week later I received a 175 point adjustment. I was a bit suprised that Chase did that after I called. But I have to tell you, their willingness to resolve the issue tells me that they do value my business and as a result I will continue to use them as my primary bank;) 175 points goes a long way.

To the OP I just have to say THANK YOU!!!!! I sent the email and stated that not only was my disney credit card with them, but also my mortgage. I said that I was disapointed that others had gotten $200 when I had only received $40 back in 2008 and also that I was never invited to earn bonus dollars.

Well, I received a reply that "As a gesture of our commitment to you as one of our valued cardmembers, I have added $160 Disney Dream Reward Dollars
to the account. This adjustment will appear on the next
billing statement."

I sent the original email this morning and by 1:30 this afternoon, there were an additional $160 Disney Dream Dollars in my account.

This will go a long way towards my daughters birthday trip next month!!!!!!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WOW! I am definitely going to go email them as well. I got the $100 one, so it will only be $100, but hey, a $100 is a $100! I was reluctant because I had signed up a year ago, but since you said 2008, it gives me hope!
