160 extra Disney Rewards Points by asking...

I got my $100 additional on Friday after I applied and got my card two weeks ago with a $100 gift card in the mail. I had to send am email as well and they got back to me within 2 days.

So, you never went back to Target and got a refund when something went on sale? Or at least inquired?

I personally see nothing wrong with asking. All of us (based on what people have posted) just stated we weren't happy that others had gotten better offers even though we were long-standing good customers. I didn't read where anyone even threatened to close their accounts.

Chase could have politely said "sorry" and done NOTHING. They didn't. They chose to keep their existing customers happy.

Sorry, but in a world of "bonus offers" for checking, savings, credit cards, HELOC's, Mortgages, etc.....I think we'll see more of this in the future.

Yeah I have returned something within a two week window. Not months or years later and then went online to tell everyone else to take advantage of a loophole I've picked up on.

It can't be considered a "loophole". Chase has no legal obligations to add these reward points, they are simply choosing to do it for whatever reason....since I've never had a moment of trouble with Chase (three credit cards and a mortgage) I believe it's just good customer relations.

Personally I'm thrilled because we just got the $150 card last week and I decided to ask for the extra $50 based on these post. Chase chose to oblige me, they did not have to do that, they could have easily said "so sorry" and I would have been fine with that.

Thanks for sharing the info. I also sent a message and will see what happens. I figure it can't hurt to try.

OP, thank you!!! I sent a message and within 1/2 an hour received a response. $25 extra rewards have already been added to my account!!:cool1:

Hey, that's a QS dinner for us--every little bit helps! :thumbsup2

I sent an email a few hours ago & they responded with $20.. I'll take it!

Thanks OP

My Rewards dollars just went up $25. I'm happy! It cost me absolutely nothing to email and comment. Chase could have said too bad but didn't. It will cover the gratuity for my breakfast with Pooh. Yay!

After reading that everyone sent an email to see if they will get any reward money I figured what the heck. I was one of those people that got the card as soon as it came out and received a pin. Well within an hour of my email I received a reply that they are crediting my acct $50. I am thrilled!!! Hey its found money!!
Thanks

I was rewarded $50 as well. Thank you so much to the OP!!! That is a character meal at our trip next month!

This is why I love the DIS. :thumbsup2

I e-mailed this morning and got $ 50. Thank you DIS and thank you Chase.

I e-mailed yesterday & received $50 extra Disney Reward Dollars today! I'm very happy. Thanks to the DIS & special thanks to Chase for appreciating my business!

Thanks OP and everyone else, I received $75.00.

And thank you Chase!

Thank you to the OP for posting her experience! I too wrote them this morning asking as to why others have gotten rewards for signing up, however we didn't. Chase said that the $200 rewards were sent from Disney to select people, not from Chase and for my trouble they credited me $100 reward dollars! That will cover 2 QS meals we don't have credits for! :thumbsup2

I find this thread very interesting. I signed up for my Disney Visa and got the $25 gc and a week later I received the $200 offer in the mail. When I called to ask about it I was told that I would have to cancel and re-open my card. We didn't bother because I was leaving for college and I needed the card to take with me and didn't want to go through the hassle of my parents waiting for it and then sending it to me, etc. It's upsetting that they say they honor offers within two months and I wasn't accomodated after only a week .
