160 extra Disney Rewards Points by asking...

I too am a "Day 1" customer and have been a little put off by all these new incentives to open a Disney Chase Visa. I use my card alot and have always paid on time. I sent an email last night, not an angry one just asking if there are any reward offers for existing customers like there are for new ones. When I woke up this morning, I already had a response and 50 reward dollars were added to my account. I am very happy with that and also very please with their quick response. I already put it on my reward card and applied the payment to my upcoming trip!

That's great! I recently opened an account for my myself and one for my husband, using the $100 gift card promotion. Then I emailed Chase and mentioned that I knew a lot of people who where getting 200 rewards points promotions and asked if I could have the same. They emailed back both of us and deposited 100 rewards points into our accounts the same day. $400 in free money for our upcoming Disney trip. :yay: We do actually use the cards now, it wasn't just a ploy for the free rewards. We're replacing the Royal Caribbean cards we used to use because we can't afford cruising as often as we would like to... Sigh. But we are definitely using up the 500 points with them that we've accumulated over the years before cancelling... :)

Who are you people emailing? I got an offer too, but not the $200 offer. Who do I email to see if I can get a credit?

Also, I just opened my account about three weeks ago. I charged a small purchase last week. How long until I see the rewards dollars show up online?

TIA!

Add me to the list, I see no harm in politely asking for a 200 reward credit! We signed up in 2008 & got no promotions at that time & we do all of our banking business with Chase!
We'll see how sick they are of us dissers begging for free disney money!!!!!

I emailed through my Chase account online. If you're on the site, in your account, there will be a "you have no messages" or "you have one message," etc on the left side. Click on that and you'll be in your inbox, then select "compose new message." It gives you a few options of who to email. I selected something about Rewards Inquiries and it got to the right people. Had an answer the next day...

sorry that i ignored this thread for so long, i emailed chase and asked, cant hurt. We have had card for three years, and didnt start w/ any disney dollars. Will update if I hear back with any news.

I was going to say the say exact thing except I've been a cardmemeber since day 1! Can't hurt to ask!

Emailed chase this morning and within 1 hour they emailed back saying ....that although they tend to only match offers within the first three months, as a valued customer they will give me $50 on my next statement!!!! Thanks Budget Board friends!!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Thanks! I just sent an email to Chase. We'll see what happens.

We've had our Disney card for a few years (3 or 4?) and got the $40 credit after first purchase incentive when we signed up. We actually transferred a balance from another card to it almost immediately, as well as paid for a WDW vacation, and have been carrying a balance of 50-100% of our limit since then.

I sent this as a general inquiry/comment:

I've recently learned that new customers are not only
being given something like 200 Disney Dollars for signing
up for a Chase Disney Visa, but also given the opportunity
to earn double or triple dollars on their purchases. As a
cardholder in good standing for quite a while, I'm pretty
disappointed that we have not and were not offered any
incentive other than a measly $40 credit when we applied
for our card.

I think I can speak for all long time Disney Visa
cardholders when I say that this is a disappointment for
sure!

Got this back within a few minutes:

Thanks OP. I have the card since Day 1. I sent an email anyway. Low and behold I now have $50 extra rewards dollars!! Thanks again.

I got an e-mail last night that they added 50 points to my account. It's better than nothing!

Thanks, for the heads up I sent Chase an email too!!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Nothing yet for me :(

I sent the message in my previous post on Thursday night, and was told to expect a response from the correct dept in one business day, so maybe that means Monday?

Got my answer just now! I only got $15 reward dollars, but that's better than nothing!

As your credit card company, we value your business. I
appreciate this opportunity to respond to your recent
inquiry concerning your Disney Rewards® Visa® account.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us of your concerns
regarding your eligibility in the Disney Rewards bonus
offers.

Accounts are reviewed periodically to determine
eligibility in the Disney Rewards bonus offers. While your
account might not get a offer right now, it is possible to
get the next quarters offer. Your account will always be
evaluated for future bonus offers. We do try to match the
current offers within the first three months of the time
the account opens. The sign up bonus offer is for new
customers only.

As a gesture of our commitment to you as our customer I
have added an additional $15 Disney Dream Reward Dollars
to the account. You will see these on the next billing
statement.

It was a pleasure to assist you and have a magical day.

I love this board! Thanks to you all I emailed Chase with my concerns and was able to get 50 reward dollars!

LOL, I guess our carrying/paying interest on a balance of $1500+ for 4 years or so isn't worth much to Chase if everyone else is still getting $50 or more.
