Friday, December 15th Day 1

Who's Who!
Myself: DW who is a trip planer, tour guide etc!
(This is my 25th trip!)

DH: Who loves Disney and trip planning as much as I do!

DS: 16 yr. old and vows to start his family (when he has one) on Disney yearly vacations! He's been going since he was 5!

Relatives: My mother and father, their 6th trip with us! 70's and in great shape!

Sister and Brother-in-law who retired and are Full-timers and are spending the winter in Florida anyway!

Sister and her 6 yr. old daughter. Both went May 1999 with us and whose daugther is the original chicken girl!

Brother and his 2 daughters, ages 10 and 12.

Friends:
Couple from our church and their 2 sons, ages 12 and 16. (Who were more thankful to us than my own family!)

The plane left right on time at 7 AM. They had to De-Ice the plane. It was only half full and we have a great flight. We were ready to land at 9:30 AM but the airport in Orlando was socked in by fog. The pilot said we might have to divert to Melbourne. Right away I started to panic I was worried about my sister who was landing thirty minutes later. I started to pray and 15 minutes later we landed safely in Orlando. The plane cheered and the pilot informed us that it was 80 degrees. And all of our luggage arrived safely. 11 pieces and all. The lady who is checking our luggage jokingly told us that they do have washing machines in Orlando. But who wants to wash when you're on vacation! Atlantis limousine was waiting for us and we walked over to terminal B to pick up my sister and her daughter. We had a 15 passenger van which fit all of our luggage 15 pieces and seven passengers. We stopped at Albertson's for groceries for us. We arrived at the Coronado Springs resort and go checked in and we were in our room by 12 noon. The weather was 83 degrees sunny and hot. We unpacked went to the hot tub and the pool and waited for my brother and nieces to arrive. Their plane arrived safely at 3 PM so we went right to the pool and had snacks, chicken tenders and French fries cheeseburgers and just hung out. We all got changed, 10 of us that first night, caught the Magic Kingdom bus at 6:45 PM and waited in line until they let us into the park at 7:30 PM. We were at the last night of MVMCP. We all headed over to fantasyland and walked on Winnie the Pooh, Dumbo, Snow White adventures and then went to get our picture taken in front of the Lion King. I thought there were very low crowds and I was very pleased considering what I had read on the boards about how crowded the other dates were. There were tons of characters everywhere! After we went on Tea Cups we headed over to Buzz Lightyear where we only waited ten minutes before going on. We then split up and some people did the Alien Encounter ride and some of us went to see the show 'Twas the Night Before Christmas. The show was great. We left the show at 9:30 PM and went on Buzz Lightyear 2 more times. We then got a seat at the starlight café and had hot chocolate and cookies, which were in plenty of supply. We had perfect viewing for the fireworks over the castle and we Saw Rudolph fly from the castle. We then walked over to Main Street and got a seat on the curb in front of the bakery. At this time we ended up getting popcorn, soda & hot dogs with sauerkraut. I got my dad who has a bad knee but refuses a wheelchair a chair from the ice cream shop to sit on to watch the 11:15 PM parade. It was a good idea! The parade started and there was tons of the snow falling from the rooftops! My son videotaped the parade and it looks so beautiful with the snow falling. At the end of the parade half of our party decided to head back to the room while the other half wanted to go on to more rides. We ended up going on Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain railroad all walk on rides! We all wore shorts that night as the temperature stayed in the low 70s. It was a very good night! We went back to our hotel on the first bus. Since tomorrow's forecast is 85 degrees we decided to stay at the hotel pool and relax! Got to bed by 1:30 Am but what the heck, We are on vacation! Tomorrow 2 more people are joining our party, that will make 12. The other 4 will arrrive on the 19th!

What a nice day. I'm so disapointed that we missed the snow on Main St. I'm sure this will be a favorite memory for you and your family.

Question: What did the MVMCP cost you per person? Did u have to pay 4 regular admission MK on top of the MVMCP cost? How and when did u get your tickets 4 MVMCP?? Thanks and keep those reports coming. We can't wait to read what happens next!!
