Hi Again!
Hmmm. What did I say "no" to:
1) french fries
2) treadmill time (whoops, but I substituted a 4.6 mile walk, so I'm still counting that as a workout)
3) eating after 8 p.m.!
What did I say "yes" to:
1) salad with my roast beef sandwich instead of fries (o.k. I did have garlic bread, too, but saying no to the fries was a big step for me).
2) an afternoon nap

I laid down to read "French Women Don't Get Fat", and fell asleep. I woke up and finished it, and I am not impressed. I found it to have some good advice, but be very condescending. Apologies to anyone who loves it.
3) drinking my water! One more bottle and I'll be there, so no problem.
I'm not real thrilled about weighing in tomorrow. I'm predicting a gain, but since I was "on sabbatical" for about 5 days ,what do I expect?! Tomorrow afternoon I promised my ds we would have "movie time". We're going to watch a couple of Disney movies, and I am having one serving of 100 calorie kettle corn, and that's it (I wrote it, so now it will come true).
Debra -- I'm so proud you did the walk! Awesome. I knew you could do it.
Jen -- Your mom is doing great! That's totally getting a big cheer from me.
Tara -- Good job saying "no"! You are totally getting into the spirit of our challenge.
I've started to plan out our daily itineraries. I can't believe everything is becoming so real. But my dh...I adore this man, but he is convinced we can get and do everything else we need to next weekend, he just wants to spend this weekend in the pool. I have a bad feeling we are going to run out of days with that approach, but I have been doing my best to get us ready a little at a time. DS starts school a few days after we return, so I'd feel better if we had all his uniform pieces before we go, especially since I know I'm the one who's going to have to run around and find everything at the last minute. I scored pants and socks yesterday, and I can fake shirts and ties for a few weeks, because last year's aren't too small. But the kid has to have new shoes. Tara, I bet you're laughing because you don't have to do any of this foolishness with homeschooling
Oh! Just to see what everyone thinks...I have read the 1,000 reviews of the Stitch ride, and it seems like some people really don't like it. Any opinions? My ds is a huge Stitch fan, but if it's scary or boring he will be really disappointed and I'd rather skip it. He loves the t.v. show, but found the movie too intense.
Well, I have to get ready for the rest of our big Friday night. Reading and TourGuideMike. At least I should like my next book better, It's a mystery by Charlotte McLeod set in Boston.
Have a great night, everybody. I'm sure you're all out dancing the night away!
Maria
