tinkcindy - I know how hard it is to add exercise. I am the "QUEEN" of procrastination when it comes to exercise!! You just have to push yourself through those first couple of days and it will get easier. It is much easier than it was last week. Comeon you can do it!!! Get that motor running :moped:

NYcpa - WOO HOO!! You go girl signing up for a marathon!! How about eating small meals throughout the day. Does that work for you? Unfortunately it doesn't for me being a sub. So I tried to have a couple of nuts or sourdough pretzels handy to sneak when the kids aren't watching ;)

Regina - Chicken Soup - Huge favorite in this house!! My daughter is sick AGAIN!! She was just sick on her b-day 2 weeks ago and came home yesterday with a temp. Send some this way:)

Went to the fitness center yesterday and worked on the bike for 15 mins then walked for 25 minutes on the walking track. Then took a one hour Total Body Flex class OH MY GOSH!! :banana: :banana: I was sweating up a storm. Plus in the am walked 2 miles with the WATP DVD. YEA FOR ME!!!! :bounce: :bounce:

Took the morning off because I got home too late last night and didn't get to sleep until really late. Going swimming after work.

Tera! You are doing GREAT!!! And running on the treadmill for that long will SURELY bring you down to GOAL...Keep it up!!!! :banana: And thanks so much for your tips...it really helps to read other's plans and I need to DRINK MY WATER!! WHoa! 120 oz! That's GREAT!!!

Regina...your pooch sounds beautiful...I bet at his size he'd have me running instead of walking around my neighborhood! :) My dog just kind of strolls along. :rolleyes: So most walks I have to go without her. Keep up the great water consumption!!!

NYcpa...YEAH on the 3 minutes running!!! :banana: That's WONDERFUL!!! AND YEAH ON SIGNING UP FOR THE MARATHON!!! You won't regret all the training...your heart will thank you :love: ...and I think your trainer is right...I remember fretting over "big meals" when I was losing last year and that same week I'd lose 3-4 pounds...I think sometimes we get to a point where we're just not hungry so we don't eat as much...I know I've had many days under 1000 calories and the scale isn't moving..gotta add more veggies and fruits! So, eat well and keep up that training!

And the chart on the first page is just how many pounds you need to get into the 150's...so 159 is our marker...any pounds down to actual 150 is called the WOW ZONE!! :) Give yourself a big hug!!! Another TIP for the day...

POSTURE!!! :banana: We're all working our bodies to the FIRM, pilates, treadmill or other...but are we practicing good posture when we stand at the stove and cook or stand at the copier? I was told that I have a bad swayback posture due to poor abdominal muscles...I have to force my abs to pull in my back and push forward my pelvis and then I'm a whole inch taller!

And I'm working those ABS without a video! :) Good posture can make you look 5-10 pounds thinner...so pull those shoulders back today...hold your head up high and be PROUD of the body you're in...you're treating it right and over the next few months we'll see losses that will make us stand up even higher!!!

Boy, I had a slow start this morning. DH has been working 3:30 p.m. - 3:30 a.m. the last couple of days and I have not been sleeping well with him not home. So, I woke up this morning very groggy and grumpy. (Did I mention TOM is here? :crazy2: ) I was arguing with myself about whether or not to exercise. I decided I just needed to do it. So, I did the FIRM's CAWT which is 60 minutes of challenging exercise! Whew! I have to say that I feel much better now! :teeth: I have more energy and I actually have a :) on my face.

Tracy....I'm sooo glad your husband got that contract but I feel for you with his hours!! How long will it be? Sleep is the number one determining factor in my mood...if I don't get 7 straight hours I get snappy and my body folds about 2pm...let's get you through TOM (oh and on TOM I have 2 days where I literally could sleep for 12 hours!!!) and send some pixie dust your way for a great day!!! :wizard:

March is coming on...for all those with St. Paddy goals...let's get kicking...I really fear I may not make that goal!!! :confused3 The exercise is rolling along, my eating is very good, my water is slowly getting better thanks to that song I can't flush out of my head...so hopefully the scales will be kind..I'm even thinking of buying a new scale that shows tenths...instead of 1/2 pounds..just so I can see some progress! :)

Good Afternoon everyone!! I woke up this morning to such a wonderful surprise...

Hopped on the scale and saw 180!! 180!!! 180!!! I couldn't believe it!! :) :)

I ran to get DH to show him. I had to set the scale to zero, make sure it was calibrated, and it was still showing 180!! I started Jan as 190 so I am feeling good!

WHOOO HOOO!!

I started the SBD with encouragment from so many of you. And I am trying the Oprah bootcamp (figured they are almost the same).

I actually did 2 sets of 5 sit-ups on Monday... real sit-ups!! From the floor to my knees!! I have had such a horrible Feb so far and this week has made up for it!!

All week I have met my water intake goal of 72 oz, and 2 days I have gotten 96 oz! Today I will probably have closer to 120 oz. Instead of using an 8oz cup, 9-12 times a day, I now fill up a 24oz bottle and drink it 4 times throughout the day. It has been so much easier for me.

I am so pleased to have such wonderful support here. I have never been able to do this in the past, but knowing that I have you all to turn to has changed everything.

Tara: Posture.. well as I read your post of course I had horrible posture! LOL I am now sitting here all tall and firm.. Thanks for the reminder.

Onwards and Downwards we go!

Sabotage hits again...my TV broke last week (I don't want to get a new one until we move...all these new fangled plasma/flat screens worry me having to move them to another state when we move..I'd rather just buy one and have it delivered safe and sound to our next house) and last night my DVD player on the computer locked up!!! So tonight I'll have to do my Cardio pilates from memory...oh GREAT. Trying to remember 45 minutes of moves is going to be a thrill. I know I'll get stuck in the one cardio sequence I can remember for 40 minutes singing flush that fat away! :) Or maybe I'll just be the dancing banana for 45 minutes...if only my tail could touch my feet like that! :banana:

My DS preschool was selling cookie dough, white rolls and cinnamon rolls for a school fundraiser. DH filled out the form and turned it in and today I had to pick up my box full. Now I have demons living in my garage freezer! This weekend my first project is to give as much of this away as possible to family.
Send me some :wizard: strengh ladies because that Choclate chip cookie dough is calling my name!

Tracy Forget that CCD! It is not worth it!! You are stronger than it!!

When my kids were in school we used to give a donation to the school/class and tell them to give the stuff to someone else to sell and then they can make a double profit from it. I know myself and I would eat the whole box of it! It works better when it's not in the house.

I am doing pretty good, but am struggling with the no sugar/sweets on SBD. Hi.... my name is Elizabeth and I am a chocoholic. :(

I am finding that I have been going upstairs at 8:30 or I feel so tempted to eat some ice cream, m&m's, etc. DH doesn't quite understand. He just says "Don't do it. Don't think about it" Well it's not that easy for me. I am going to conquer this demon soon, but wow.. right now it is so hard!

Last night I actually stayed down till 10 and I feel proud. It was real hard though :) But I DID IT!

Let's all go for at least 64oz of water today! We CAN do it!

Let's go onwards and downwards today!!!!

HERE WE GO AGAIN!! DD (17) just sick two weeks ago on her birthday is sick AGAIN :sad2:

On Tuesday the high school called to tell me that she had a temp of 100.3. Yesterday when I got home from work it was 102.3 with advil. Plus she has white spots on her throat. Called the doctor, took her in and they did the 5 minute strep test which came back negative. :crazy2:

Here are her options.

1. The strep test turns positive overnight - she gets drugs and life is good.
2. There is a virus that imitates strep and has to run its course.
3. If she doesn't feel better by Sat am bring her back for a mono test. NO NO NO!! :sad2:

She has missed too much school this month. PLUS the school's production of Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor starts March 4 and she is a wife with a large dance role.....Right now she is stress to the limit at the thought of having mono.

Oh did I mention we are suppose to be leaving for WDW March 16th?

Life is a crazy here :crazy: - blew off all exercise yesterday and couldn't meet with the trainer. Not complaining!! Just want my daughter better.

So need LOTS of good thoughts PLEASE :wizard: NO MONO!!!!

Tara - as far as the weigh in I can tell you right now that I am holding at 169 and will focus again when I can get my daughter put back together.

Good Ol Gal...we must we must we must resist sweets! :bounce: Something that works for me and I don't over do is keeping a bag of semisweet chocolate chips...they are relatively low carb because they aren't filled with sugar like those little devilish M&M's...I just pop 10 in my mouth and relish them melting ....and my chocolate fix is eased. I have to not have M&M's in the house and if I do I make sure they're in individually wrapped bags and the effort it takes to open one of those bags is usually stopped with, "I'm eating my child's dessert for tomorrow..I can't deprive them!" :) YOU are much bigger in dedication than those M&M's are in taste... :Pinkbounc


Chrismiss!! I hope your daughter has strep throat...atleast then you know she'll be better by your trip! Something like that has been going on around here...so my bet is that it's viral and she will be better in a few days....and WAHOO for maintaining 169!!! That is AWESOME....somehow the scale goes up when my stress does....so you're doing GREAT!!! Just think of that wonderful Disney trip and all that gratis walking you'll do!!! What a great time of year to go!!! Wish your daughter a speedy recovery for her role in Joseph!

I'm off to weigh in...I hope I atleast lost a pound this week...if not that's two weeks of maintaining...ick! Tomorrow we have our court date with the incident with our dog. Send good thoughts to my ds (9) who has to speak before the judge that he doesn't get upset about the whole thing...it was horrifying for him (doberman attacked our dog while son was walking ours on a leash)...atleast my dog is starting to use her leg again.

I did it!!! I flushed that fat!!! I lost 1.5 pounds this week...I'm at 191.5 now...NEXT WEEK I WILL BREAK THE 180's!!!! :)
