Good Saturday evening! Thanks for the kind words and wishes. We appreciate the prayers and Pixie Dust very much. I'm thinking that the larger the prayer circle, the easier it will be for the prayers to be heard and felt.

I got up this morning-couldn't sleep-at @4:00 a.m. Did a few odds and ends, read the newspaper, caught up on the email...that sort of thing. Headed back to bed at 8:00, knowing that I'd have to get up at 9:00 to deliver the 4th DD to her choir rehearsal. By that time, I was tired, and tummy hurt, a virus I think. :( Did the run, but, because I'd taken the time to go prepared (i.e. workout clothes ON) I also stopped and did my Curves workout. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Good work on the treadmill, NYcpa.

Karen, weigh to go on breaking the 20 pounder. That clippie is looking super on you! Regina, another pound for you! :Pinkbounc

E. how did you make out at the chess tournament? Fingers crossed that you held up reasonably well. ;)

sarahsmom, I'm with you. This cold yucky weather is the pits! Bring on SPRING! :cheer2:

Tara, I'm at a stage where I forget things really easily :rotfl: and I FORGOT about the chocolate bar. But when I read about it, I grabbed the cold veggies and stuffed myself with cauliflower. :earseek:

Linda, thanks for the good wishes. :goodvibes

To all those ahead of me that I have forgotten, :wave2: keep on the right side. Do your best. Don't berate yourself if you fall short of the goals, celebrate that you tried and did your best. For that, we are all PROUD of you! :grouphug:

Onward and downward, to the goal of a better and healthier ME!

Good morning fellow 150 ers!!!! :cool1: Get up! Get on your feet!!! It is sunday and the sun is shining.... Yes.... I'll be the drill sergeant today!!! :cool1:

I hope everyone has a great losing day!

(I have to work off the 1/2 piece of veal parm and bowl of french onion soup I ate) The good news is I could only eat 1/2 of the veal parm as the soup really filled me up! :confused3 I guess that is ia good thing!

Good job Sarah

Nice warm 3 in CNY. Colder in Lake Placid, I imagine.

25 min on TM this morning until lower back said stop (needed stretching)

:sad2: :sad2: I had intended to do 45. O well, there's still the rest of the day

Onward and downward :goodvibes :goodvibes

Sarahsmom.... :cool1: Kick up that exercise!! I promise you it's working for me! I had a no loss last week and after doing an hour a day since Wednesday I've dropped a pound! So come on and join the moving sensation! :) Two great things about MAKING exercise a rule...1. It makes me WANT to be good on my eating 2. It makes me crave more water! And to be honest if I'm just eating on plan...I simply don't crave it. Your hugs you send are SOOOO encouraging!!!

Good Ol Gal!!! Did you castle a king today??? How was the chess tourney? I bet if you start bringing fresh fruits and cheeses they'll catch on! :) GREAT JOB on the crunches...75 is SEVENTY FIVE!!! Imagine 75 of those little bananas...now dontcha know your body will be burning through some fat this week! :)

welovedis!!! 20 POUND MARK!!!! WOO-HOOO  That's MAJOR news!!! Don't let it squeak by...a 20 lb mark is deserving of a reward...I hope you got one! :) You're doing GREAT!! Believe me, there are weeks I would DROP and give 50 for a 1.6 pound loss!!! BE EXCITED!!! That's less you have to goal! :)

NYcpa....WOO HOO Treadmill Master!!! Your commitment to exercise is soo inspiring!!! Your legs must be seeing some great results! Keep up the GREAT WORK!!! Oh! And please stretch out those hamstrings..when I was doing 20 miles a week (boy, need to work up to that again!) my hamstrings would get sooo tight and there was a direct correlation between my back going out and how tight they were...a good hot bath is good for after a workout too.

Debbie...I am amazed that you did all that working out with that little sleep...I hope you're slumbering right now and your body is using up some of those reserves so you'll never have to see them again! Please let us know how your dear sis is...I hope things are looking up for her. You are such an inspiration to me and your words of encouragment keep me hanging in there.

As for me, I could have had another excuse...our television blew out..it's only 7 years old (Sony)...probably not worth fixing...but that meant I couldn't do my exercise video...I didn't get my walk in...a showing and I had to do a favor for my mother...then like a light bulb...I realized my computer plays DVD's sooo I came into the office and did my cardio pilates in here...now that just shows that all you guys sharing your exercise made me take that extra step not to miss mine...THANK YOU!!!!!

ONWARDS & DOWNWARDS GANG!!!!
Tara

Hi everyone!

Two congratulations are in order....

DS9 won 1st PLACE in the Chess Tourney!! We are so proud of him. This is only his 4th tourney he has entered and he did so great! :cool1:

I won 1st place for resisting the urge :teeth: to purchase the junk food they had!! They had all kinds of junk from pizza to hot dogs, candy, chips, donuts, etc... DS and I went to the store on the way and purchase some bananas, apples, wheat thins (don't know how great they are for you, but I only ate maybe 10 all day), and bottled water.

I drank almost 48 oz while there. I was hungry when I got home but resisted the urge to binge on junk here as well. I waited for dinner and only ate it.

We took DS and kids out for a celebration ice cream at DQ, and I resisted getting anything there as well!! And then DH was snacking on peanuts at 10:45pm and I didn't have any!! I had to ask him to put them away b/c I wanted on soooo baaaddd!!! He did. :goodvibes: So sweet!!

I hope that everyone else is having a great weekend.

Elizabeth! Congrats to your son, but special CONGRATULATIONS go to YOU! :flower: It's hard avoiding all the junk at those sorts of things. AND you only ate 10 wheat thins! (I could eat the box. . .they are my favourite cracker!)

Tara, good for you for exercising where the computer is. You are one determined lady! Weigh to go where the action can be! :moped:

Kathy, I'm so glad that you stopped when you started to hurt. It is important that we listen to our body when it says that it has had enough. You can finish up later today if your back is feeling like it can do it! :wizard:

Sarah's mom, it sounds like a good meal to me! You only had a small veal parmigian, and the onions are good for you. Sounds like you have a plan to work it off, though. Good for you! :cheer2:

I won't have a lot of time to work out today. DD has her choir festival today. Sooo, I'll have her into the city for 1:00, and be "gown mom" for the group, making sure that they're ready for concert. I'll watch the concert and then come home. My oldest DD, will be gown mom for the second, evening, concert. I usually cook on Sunday, but I think with the running around that I will Lean Cuisine or Michelina it. I'm hoping for a short (even 1 mile!) walk tonight.

Here's hoping for a good day for all!

Remember to say to yourself:
Onward and downward, to the goal of a better and healthier ME!

Good Ol Gal - Congrats on the tourney and the snacking. Way to go. :cool1:

Debbie - I send you my prayers this week. I'm very close to my sister and I can't imagin what you are going through. :wizard:

Tara - Way to power on. What a drag about the TV.

I got on the scales and saw 170! :cool1: :cool1: I'm 1 pd from my February goal and two pds from hitting 40pd off. (FOR GOOD)

Day 6 of bootcamp. Doubled the work out yesterday. My legs were like noodles by the time I was done but I feel great today. :cheer2: Not one sweet in 6 days. But I'm thinking about a little reward for myself today. :goodvibes

Last week I told you that I was dreaming of a size 12 khaki short khaki skirt. I went with my DD yesterday to the store to look around. I found one that I liked and took it into the dressing room to try it on. ( a place I normally avoid and just try things on at home) I put it on and whoosh it zipped right up. Me a size 12? NO WAY! SO now I'm thinking that my dream skirt could be a 10! :rotfl2: I put the skirt back on the rack and left on a high note. I took my DD to a birthday party and passed on the chocolate cake ( looked to die for) with a big smile on my face thinking about size 10. ;)

Keep up the good work everyone. And remenber that we can't do it without each other. :grouphug:

Elizabeth... :cheer2: GREAT news on your son's accomplishment!! I know he's beaming!!! But, I agree, a GREAT pat on the back goes to you!!! You completely mastered the event!!! :) And kudos for your dh for putting the nuts away!!! It can be hard living with a wife on a losing mission! :) My poor husband gives me this look when I buy him the salad at Chick-Fil-A instead of the super sized biggie meal with fries...but he eats it without complaint! :)

Debbie...here's extra pixie dust that you have enough energy after running around all day to fit in the 1 mile walk... :wizard: you'll feel much better after a walk...I have never regretted any exercise...just not doing it! ;0

4togo!!! 170!! I think I would be on cloud nine :cloud9: if I saw 170 on the scales!!! Hearing that size 12 fit you makes me want to get these 22 pounds off so I can see 170!!! I love reading your posts because I can project where I'll be 2-3 months from now!!! I hope to be trying on those size 12's soon! And I'm soo proud of you for not buying them...that shows you will get those size 10's on!!! :) And that will be a GRAND day!

I've been trying to keep up with all the losing going on by posting the pounds lost...if I've missed any or need to update your total loss so far...please just let me know what number to put next to your name on page 1. It's encouraging to see all those red numbers! At the end of this month I'll add up all our losses/gains/maintains and see what our total is...we have a lot of happy hearts out there!!!!

Good evening all 150 club members :wave2: :wave2:

Made it back on the treadmill for an additional 35 min, not sore back this time :goodvibes I guess I should stay away from the treadmill first thing in the morning if my back is tight when I first get up.

Hope everyone had a good day :cool1: :cool1:

ONWARD AND DOWNWARD :cheer2: :cheer2:

Good evening everyone,

I'm reporting in after an exciting weekend. I was up to 187 pounds and have lost 6 pounds on Oprah's challenge this week and I'm happy with that. Most importantly, I finally made it to the 100 pound club! Yippeee!!!! It happened yesterday but Sunday is official weigh in day so I'm claiming it. Ain't my brand new clippie grand?

I used to come to WISH and just stare at what a 100 pound clippie looked like. Now I have one of my very own. I can thank the support I get here on WISH and Oprah's challenge for getting me over this hump. I have now lost 101 pounds. I have 28.5 pounds to go to get to goal. This morning I weighed 181.5 pounds and can't wait to see "170-something" on the scale. Hopefully by next weigh in.

Lisa - Congratulations on that gorgeous new clippie :teeth: 101 pounds is so awesome. You should be so proud of youself :cool1: :cool1: Keep up the great work and you'll be in those 170's in no time.

Lisa - Congratulations on the 100lbs, that is great.

Yesterday, DH and I had a day out together without the kids. We went to a RV show and then out to dinner. I took the day as a cheat day and didn't worry amount dinner. The good news is that I walked 4hrs at the RV show climbing in at out of ther RVs.

PLEASE reward yourself..and tell us what you got! :)

NYcpa...GREAT job on the treadmill!!! You're not letting that :cold: get to you!!! :) You'll breeze right out of winter into spring in a new dress size! :)

Good Evening everyone!!! I figure I should make more visits here besides my weekly update. This past weekend was great since DH & I got to go up to Estes Park Friday night for our anniversary (which is actually today). I had MAJOR slurge with a bottle of wine, several cocktails, chocolate covered strawberries and cheese and crackers. I didn't even worry about eating after 7:00pm and enjoyed every little indulgence  When we go back home Saturday, I drank tons of water and stayed OP. My weigh in is on Tuesday and as of today, I'm actually down 1 pound and finally under 170 :cool1: I'm really hoping to see 168 by Tuesday which will put me in a major party mood  I'll be celebrating my 2nd 10% goal with WW, a new 40 pound clippie and my lowest weight in 15 years!!!!!! Here's to a great weigh in and the 160's :drinking1

Regina - We love RV shows, but I have to avoid them right now since DH wants to upgrade our Fifth-Wheel to a very expensive Class C. I want to do it, but want to wait atleast another year. Are you guys shopping for one?

:jumping1: Tera!!!!- WOW!!! The 160's!!!! THAT IS AWESOME!!!! You guys are breaking some major barriers!!!! I bet you LOVE the way your clothes are fitting!! You're just a stone's throw away from the 150's!!! And that dinner in Estes Park sounds YUMMY!!! I LOVE Estes Park...I worked there a college summer at the Trail Ridge Store (at 12,000 feet) and even climbed Long's Peak (Boy do I wish I could do that now!)...it's beautiful!!! I can close my eyes and still see it all...you are sooo lucky to live so close!!!! :)

Keep up the great work!!!! Hoping for a stellar weigh in for you this weekend!!
Tara

WI this morning with .5 lb loss. Better than gaining but not what I hoped for. Need to keep track of intake and stay away from candy bars. Hope to do better this week.
