Tracy-
OMG, I don't know whether to laugh or cry while reading your posts! I agree, those fundraising companies need to stop sending me their samples, I'm getting tired of having to eat my way through them all, lol!!!
Lets hope for a more peaceful day around your house.
Kathy--we ended up not doing the 5K either, the wimps that we are. DS & I were going to, but my heel was acting up prior to the trip so we decided to forgo it this time and concentrate on training properly for a 5K this spring. I did hear some things about the way it was run and they weren't positive. But I'm glad to hear about your 1/2 finish, way to go!
Tiger Cheer-good attitude and one that I need to learn, one overindulgence shouldn't be a green light for a bad day, hope yours gets better & better!
Linda-that would make me keep over in shock, but keeping drinking your water. Love those little Tinks in your post!
Tara-the shoes definitely make a difference, I have a pair of Asics I wear only in my house and another pair only for the gym, you get the picture. When they discontinued my "model" I bought a few pairs of them for a decent price and just love my sneakers.
I had a lousy weekend food & exercise-wise, but was back at the gym today at 4:55am! Did an hour on the Precor elliptical and feel great now. Must have done something right as I was down (as of Sun am) 4 pounds from 222 to 218, headed in the right direction.
I watched a cooking show yesterday & have seen it before, they have a website:
http://www.pbs.org/everydayfood/
The recipes yesterday focused on chicken, collard greens and a few other side dishes. I have to say everything looked really good and, for the most part, low fat, IMO. I'm vowing to try at least 1 new entree recipe each week for the next few months-getting tired of the same old, same old!
Goals for this week are to drink my 64 ounces of water each day, exercise 5/7 days this week (1 down) and stick to my eating plan (1500 cals/day 3 serving of dairy, 5 servings of veggies a day) and get to bed early!
