Hi everyone.... I was wondering if it would be okay for me to join this thread. I read the last few pages but likely won't have the time to read all 200+.
I would really, really, really like to see 150 again someday. My current weight is about 198, at 5'8". I started Feb 6 at 217, so I am down about 19 lbs.
I basically follow a calorie restriction diet. I try to stay between 1200-1500, 1200 on non-exercise days and 1500 on exercise days. Exercise is Monday and Friday at the gym, 30 min on the elliptical trainer, and a weight circuit (express at my gym, takes about 10-15 min) that is 30 reps each of chest, back (pulldown/row), legs (curl, press), triceps, biceps, shoulders.
Wednesdays I play 1.5 hours of ice hockey, and I am also going to try to fit in a lunch hour hockey practice once a week.
My DH is on this with me, but he isn't as committed. We are a childless couple in our 30s (31 for me, 36 for him). We both love food and
... the latter is what is really a struggle.
My biggest challenges are finding quick food items that still fulfill me, and, of course, sticking to it even when life throws things at you. I am definitely an emotional eater, and I am very easily tempted off the path.
Anyhow, that was long, and I hope it was okay to post it all!
