Good Monday Morning

Are you ready for a U Turn ?

It is bright and sunny here in jersey and it will be a warm day. I have started my U-turn already this morning. I did 25 minutes of walking and 20 minutes of weights and pilates.

Jump on the U-turn wagon. Let's start this week off right.

Well all I kinda had a weird weekend. I started out by going for my WI at LAWL on Friday and was only down 1/2 pound talk about depressing for a week but at least it wasn't up.
Then later that night I got the round of stomach flu that my youngest went through on Wednesday night. Oh my I thought I was going to die. Then when I could finally stand on Saturday I weighed myself out of curiousity and I was down like 3.5 lbs. I've managed to keep 2.5 of it off so I guess it hasn't been a bad thing lol.
So this month I'm now down 5 lbs this month. Yay me I think lol.

This is going to sound kind of weird but all of you are encouraging because all of you get discouraged just like me. Sometimes I think I am that I am the only one who can not stay on track.
I had a wonderful Saturday and was even at a wedding that was pretty upscale with lots of fancy horderves and cake to die for and the meal wasn't too shabby either and did excellent. Well Sunday was a bomb out and now today it was hard to get back on track. I am glad we have a ball game tonight I will be out of the house and away from food.
Good luck ladies tomorrow.
Michele

Hi everyone!

Doing good today! Looking for organic soup for dinner. It is pretty good. With some rice crackers, not a bad deal!

Off to finish it all!

Wendy

Michele, I am then your poster child!! I did terrible all weekend for eating/drinking, although I did do a TON of yard work (5 hrs Sat, 7 hrs Sun, including planting 16 trees).

Today I was back on track with food, and I am trying to stay just under 1000 cals today and tomorrow to try and atone for my weekend.

Good Morning, Ladies!

Yesterday I ran 3 miles before work, today I laid there like a lump...I'm hoping to get on the bike later, but the odds are slim. I have to take ds to gymnastics tonight, which means our evening is completely shot.

All the pressure at work is really starting to get to me. Last night I snacked, and snacked, and snacked some more. It wasn't pretty. I had such a great day, and then I totally blew it. I don't think I can bear to get on the scale tomorrow. I think I just have to do the best I can, and award myself a fresh start on May 10th.

Kat Good for you with all the yard work! I know that burns calories. :cool1:

Wendy Hope your soup was super yummy!:goodvibes

Michele Staying on track would definitely be my downfall. :scared1:

BraMax Hope you're feeling better!

Dona Let's turn this puppy around! :thumbsup2

I promise, I am with you in spirit. My mind is so overloaded, I can't focus properly on eating right...

Have a great day!
Maria

Hi everyone!

It's the same old, same old here. My exercise has been on track, but I could have made better food choices during the past few days.

I did have a ray of sunshine. We're going to a wedding in June and I thought I had nothing to wear. I went through the closet and found a dress that fit me a couple of years ago. I thought that it wouldn't fit, but I tried it on and it did! : ) I think it fits because of the 10 pounds I lost so far. It was a pick-me-up to know that I could fit into it and to know that I didn't have to go shopping for a dress, which I've been dreading. Most of the dresses out there look like Mother of the Bride dresses OR prom dresses, and neither of those is OK for me. Add the fact that I am picky about style to cover a flabby tummy, so finding an appropriate dress is next-to-impossible. I'm happy that I don't have to shop for a dress. : )

Keep up the good work, everyone!! Think healthy thoughts!

This is so true!! It's such a boost, and such tangible evidence that you're making progress. I have a few items of clothes that I loved that I've been carrying around for nearly 20 years that I'm now wearing again. Good for you pixiedust!

Good Thursday Morning It is almost the weekend.

I hope everyone is having a good week. It must be pretty busy for everyone since there haven't been many posts.

Kelly Congrats on fitting into the dress. That is the greatest feeling that any one of us could have. I also hate going shopping so that makes everything great.

I hope everyone has a great week. Keep up the hard work. I know that I am.

Good day all! I have been out of touch for a couple of days, things have been kinda crazy. I'm not sure I can handle being the only parent in the house 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is starting to wear the patience thin! I have decided to try the WW again. So far I have done very well today, I just need to drink more water. Hopefully, I can keep it up and lose that 10-15 pounds before DH comes home from Korea for vacation. My immediate goal right now is to get below 170, if I can do that, I'll be very happy :goodvibes

I'm sorry this is short, but I do not have the time to keep going right now. Have a great day and see you all later!

Hello everyone1

I have to agree with Dona, we all must be very busy. I am very excited with DS's graduation at the end of the month, DD's 5th grade promotion at the end of the month, prom is over--boy they were beautiful--we are planning a short vacation the second week of june to Mackinaw Isle, and I have begun to finalize DS's graduation vacation/gift that he is going on with his best buddy. Yeah! The snow is finally gone. The rain hasn't been too bad, and the sun is shinning right now. I am able to walk outside, and the dog is looking better! :goodvibes

Ok, dieting is ok, not as good as it could be. Walking outside is very nice. Lots of people out as well as myself. Still think I need to do something to boost me over the plateau I am at and have been for quite a while. The summer is always good for that. I am hoping to get down the last 10 pounds I have been fighting with this summer. I will do it!

Maria--sounds like running is going well. Are you enjoying good weather? Went down to the beach today and watched the earth movers move all the sand around to level out the beach. I like the beach, but the lake is just too cold for me to go into. Maybe some day!

Kat--I know the outside work eliminated all the eating and more. I know that yard work, lifting and digging and raking, etc burns lots of calories. Tomorrow is rake day for me. A few small errands in the morning and then an afternoon of sunshine. DH will be home and hopefully do the really heavy lifting. Cherry tree is in bloom, and other one is very close.

Kelly--Oh, just love that feeling. And, when the wedding is finally here, a few more pounds will be gone and you will look stunning!

Coasteraddict--I had kept somethings from before my last child was born (she will be 11 this July) and I was so excited I fit into 85% of it. Now, if I only could fit into the things I didn't save from before the first child (now 18) that would be VERY nice! :)

Michelle--Yeah for going on to WW. I am sarting to work with DD on the point system with them to help her make healthy choices. She is 5' tall, and 146 pounds. She is very broad shouldered, but very round. She is just average with her activity. Well, she is WAY more active than her brother the computer nerd. She does tell me she wants to be a pastry chef. That could be dangerous!

Well, time to take the dog out and get rid of the sluggies before settling down for CSI.

Great weekend to all!

Wendy

I managed to jump back on the wagon and did pretty well this week. Official weigh-in is tomorrow, but I weighed today and I am down another lb from last Friday. So that is a 22 lb loss so far, 36 to go to first goal (160). I will reevaluate and decide if I want to maintain or try to go down a bit more.

WDW trip in 7 days!! 2 nights at CSR and 3 at VWL. That will derail the diet for a week but hopefully DIS and WISH will help me jump right back on when I get back.

Everyone sounds like they are doing great!!!!! When you start pulling out all of those shorts and sleeveless tops it sure puts your backend in gear. I have been working at this for almost 3 weeks now and lost 8lbs. I am getting toned I can tell from the excercising. I am hoipng to keep this up. This is where I mostly call it quits.
Have a great day!
Michele

Hello all!

The crazy photo at the end is of DS and GF from prom this last weekend. Now, his prom pics taken at prom really shows his hair red. Now, I am not asking, but aren't they cute?!! Ok, so maybe I am! :rotfl:

Michele...I am pretty excited. I pulled out a top and pair of shorts, and I think I am not going to be able to wear that top anymore. TOO BIG! Yeah! The shorts are quite loose, but wearable. Wow, I am excited. I did get rid of some stuff last year, but kept the 'it's ok for now' ones. I am hoping the 'it's ok for now' ones are going this year! :yay:

Kat...7 days! Sounds wonderful. I booked DS's and his best bud's graduation trip the other day and just sighed for about 20 minutes, wishing it was me. So, here is another minute of sighs, wishing I was meeting you in 7 days! :goodvibes Unfortunetly life and reality gets in the way!

Everyone have a great weekend. Hope it is with loved ones, and out in the sunshine!

Wendy

Hello ladies. Hope y'all had a great weekend. I did, ate way too much popcorn at Spiderman though:sad2: I feelgood today becuse I have actually finished my homework for the day :woohoo: Now if only I could work up the energy to get back to the gym. I'm bored of going and want to do something else, I just don't know what. I wish DH were here so I could go running or rollerblading in the evening by myself. Right now, if I go I have to tote all three kids with me, that's a workout in itself. I can't run pushing a stroller.

Here is the best news of all...I went to the store to try on some skorts and tanks for the summer and I decided to try on a 12, well... they fit!!!!  I couldn't believe it. I looked pretty good too. I haven't worn a 12 in too many years to even remember. When I came back to the States from Germany, I was in a 20, now I'm in a 12 (insert tears of joy smilie which they don't seem to have). Okay that's all I have to say about me.

Wendy, good luck losing that last 10 pounds, summer is definately the time to do it.

Michele, congrats on the 8 pounds!! Keep it up and you'll be there in no time.

Kat, Have fun at WDW, I wish I was going. We were supposed to go in May before DH found out he was going to Korea, now we have to wait unitl August which makes me sad. Just watch your portions of the yummy food and with all the walking, you should be good.

Have a great week and talk to y'all later.

Well I finally got on the scale and it looks like I have about 40 lbs to lose to get to 150. That will take quite awhile! doing pretty well on the low carb plan. Thanks to all of you for your posts. They have been encouraging. Grammy

Hi all -
I am new here !!! I have about 65 pounds to go before I hit 150 but right now that is my goal !! I need all the support I can get to get there.

Hi there!

I hope everyone is well! I am doing OK.

We went to a First Holy Communion party over the weekend. Lots of good eats, and few of them were lot fat. I did pretty good with my portions but did have a couple of beers. It was a fun party! There were a lot of funny people and we watched the Kentucky Derby. We stayed into the evening.

I've been doing well with using my exercise bike but haven't been out walking as much as I'd like to.

I stocked up on Lean Cuisines as they were on sale at the store. That's a nice easy lunch.

This morning I ordered our tickets for WDW! We added a Hoop Dee Do dinner for our last evening. It's my Father's Day gift to dh. : ) I've been to Hoop years ago, but dh and the kids have never been and I know they'll love it.

I hope you're each having a good week!

Welcome mssladbug!

I have been doing not good at all this week on food or exercise. The week before vacation, it is so hard to stick to it!! We leave for WDW on Friday, come back Wed, and then I will be in Charlotte w/ DH from Fri-Sun piggybacking off his free hotel room and visiting with relatives.

I guess I will jump back on the wagon on May 21. Hopefully all of this will only put on a lb or two.

Hi Ladies!

Let me first apologize for being so MIA. It is my super busy time at work, so I come here, don't even eat all my lunch, and go home. Then I collapse in bed. It's not pretty. Good thing dh is a prince.

Anyway, after Wednesday I should be able to join the land of the living again. I'm looking forward to catching up with you all and chatting. I have kept up my long runs -- I'm up to 4.5 for next weekend. My eating has been all over the place. I really need something to rein me in. I also need to get a grip on reality. I feel like I'm moving around in a fog. I am mentally exhausted. Physically, too, but for me the mental is worse.

I hope everyone is hanging in there. May 10th I'm having a fresh start. Anyone want to join me?

Maria
