Anyway, to answer your question. No, we did not ask for a group discount because we had all already booked when we met on the DIS. Al of us that had late seating got our ressies linked together so that we could all sit with or near each other each evening. That was pretty cool. We had about 9 big tables.
Also, we did a Palo brunch with about 22 of us. we booked them separately for the same morning. But I went to the Palo reservations when we boarded
and the manager saw we were all linked as a large group, he let us use the private room, and a table just outside it so we could all sit together.
Also, any time they would look up something on your ressie, they would comment Wow, you are with a big group!
But I don't know if it helped too much being linked, really.

We did Costa Maya in November on the Thanksgiving cruise. It was Ok. we went to Tequila Beach. It was a 3 minute cab ride.

Kat --if they ditch out on you again this cruise, you have gotta go with us. It is awesome!!!!!!!!! Unbelievably so. They will probably have the matinee too and my daughter loves it so much she has to go to both. (I think that defeats the reason they have the matinee but please do not flame me.)

You know I think we can do this 4000 thing tonight.

Judy, I might take you up on that! Though with the fact that it is a 10 day maybe DH will be more inclined to go to things like that. Wait, what am I thinking?? Naah, he still won't go. Though he did go to see Hercules finally. DD loved that one. DH just isn't into the shows on the cruise I guess. Me, I love all of it so I am really excited about travelling with a bunch of folks as maybe I can do more without having to do it alone!

I did read that MAY 27 cruisers is going to pass the record posting that we set in 2004 for the HOLIDAY CRUISE !!!!!!!!

The pier was nice.

The dock at Tequila Beach where the snorkel trips left from was kinda rickety.

Girls went jet skiing.

Watch out for iguana poop!

Tequila Beach was not far from the ship.

Overall, I was kinda disappointed in the beach area. The water was not all that great, with some mustard ball looking underwater plants that gave off an odor around the water.

Pier looks awesome. Clean new....So I think we will skip stinky beach. Are you sure it wasn't the beans? Sorry "other one" I had to give you grief back.
