I'm not a happy camper . . . we would have been at the OBX today had we not cancelled our vacation.

I spent the day cleaning the carpets and working instead.

I don't think I told you all, but Alex is working the summer at the local hospital here. He is shadowing doctors, learned how to "scrub" for surgery, and is working almost around the clock on Monday because he is shadowing a nurse-anesthetist all night long. He has a pager too.

The other day he had to talk to college students thinking about medical school (as a first year med student). He just turned 21, and was younger than most of these students getting ready to take their MCAT.

Angie was correct Brandi. The rewards have gotten better though, and Ohio DOES let us participate. The first referral in a calendar year is $200. The second is $350. We already have one referral this year.

Wow! The thank you rewards have gotten better. Now I am even MORE greatful to be moving out of Oregon. That is just the craziest law, but there are many here.

I know. Kaitlyn asked me the other day how we were going to celebrate the 4th of July without Sophia. I told her that we will all watch the fireworks and they can think of each other at the same time. I think that she is just getting that you guys aren't going to be at DL or on the ship the cruise...not good. She has started emailing another 7 yo and I hope that they will get along as well onboard.

That is great about Alex! It amazes me what he has been able to do at such a young age, but he deserves it all. I can only hope that W & K do as well at that age.

Is anyone doing anything exciting today????

Our local movie theater shows a free kids movie every Tuesday in the summer. The kids also get a coupon for a free lunch at one of the mall restaurants.

Today was my first time taking the kids.....my last as well!!!!

We saw Ratatoullie....oh my....oh my....oh my.....every seat was packed!!!

Maybe if my kids were a bit older...but Eliza was just not into it!

Well, W stayed over a friend's house last night so I wasn't woken up to any bickering today. K and I stopped by the scrapbook store then went to the ceramics store downtown. I finished up the cookie jar I have been working on and K painted another horse. LOL! She is going to have a full stable here soon. We stayed home the rest of the day after picking W up and visiting a bit. No plans for tomorrow right now. We were looking forward to making a day out of seeing the new Kit movie but the closest theater is an hour away. I have a 1:30 appt so that keeps us from going tomorrow. The holiday is going to keep us from seeing it until next week. No plans for the 4th right now. Something might come up in the neighborhood last minute ... who knows.
