ITA with the option but it sure was loud!

Lisa--Glad everything is ok. Definately would be scary. You did the right thing by calling 911. You never know

Patsy--Glad your back, your DD looks to be about the same age as mine, she just turned 11 in Feb.

Katie turned 11 in December so she is just a couple of months ahead of yours. Yay! :yay:

I am so looking forward to seeing all the pics on the website that I just can't stand it!

I'm tired again, DHs fire pager went off at one in the morning. He got back about two, but then we talked for a while. My DS 8 has a best friend who is aldo 8, whos dad is on the FD also, it was right across the street from his house and he didn't even show up. :confused3 Happens a lot with him. Anyway, we have had quiet a few late night calls this month, Mostly carb. Mono. Detectors going off. I said oh well money. :rotfl2: I got a nice laptop bag, it has wheels, about 6 compartment, one for cloths, and a pull out day laptop bag, it came from costco, but I bought it at the warehouse store we have in spokane that sells all of costco's out of season stuff. Anyway it said broken zipper, but none were. costco price $69.00, Mine $13. They also had all of costcos winter cloths, I got DH 2 new pairs of Kacky pants (costco tag still on $38.) My price $5. a peice. That was a great price. Well gotta get the kids off, see ya later.

~goofyforlife, Is your new dog a Bernese Mountain Dog? I love that breed....

Yes, Abby's a Berner.....
My DH was skeptical at first on having such a large dog but she's so great....
She thinks she's a 85lb lap dog most of the time so once you get used to that. They really don't eat much more than average large dogs. (We feed her 4 cups a day. Our lab eats about 3 a day.)

The worst thing about the breed is all those things you hope won't happen. (ligament issues, cancer, entropic\intropic eye stuff, bloat, the dog eating one too many socks, etc....)

I'm hoping to try carting with her but we need some more obedience training with stay and stuff like that... This morning she showed me that she can climb stairs backwards though..... We were outside and going up the deck stairs to go inside. Instead of turning around she walked up the stairs backwards. She's goofy like me...

Our next goal is to get a male berner and name him Aslan...(like the LWW movie) but two dogs is quite enough right now...

I keep lurking here - checking in - reading what everyone is doing, but just too busy to post....

But - first things first - if my list is correct -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE!!!!

Next -

Lisa - what was that?! I don't think I would have been able to get back to sleep. I hate when DH is away and I hear noises...I had DH install several motion lights on outside. They are the best!! Take care! I hope he comes home soon!

And -

How is everyone else? We're having some amazingly warm weather here today and expected for this weekend. I can't wait!! :sunny: :sunny:

The boys have little league try outs - I can't believe that season is upon us.

And - what is the latest for the t-shirts. I still plan on doing the "group" t-shirts too! The ones I mentioned in an earlier post were going to be little trip teaser gifts for the group I'm going with...a group I might mention just doesn't understand my Disboard addiction. Oh well! I'll make t-shirts for them anyway.

I like the designs that TravelinGal has done with the name tags for DCL, this is her disign showcase check it out, http://photobucket.com/albums/f256/TravelinGal/?start=0, I have asked her to customize the two name tags for me with my name, and will most likely put them on a t-shirt (front pocket area placement) with our design on the back side.

Thank you, Karen. We are heading out in a minute for dinner with friends and DD and DSIL and DGKs.

Patsy, we are going to be in Atlanta April 2-8. I have a conference there and DrHug is going along to have some fun and keep me company in the eveings. We have all day Monday April 3 to play. We were thinking of going to Stone Park.

Hi Brack,

Will you be at DL on Thursday 3/16/06? We will be there around noon that day. We are arriving with the first group of Band members. Newberg High School Band will be playing there on Saturday, the 18th, at Carnation Plaza, from 4:00 pm to 4:25 pm. We are excited now. Maybe we can do a mini-meet?

I think, and hope, Jordan and Wendy will be there for the concert. Cool, cool, cool.:cool1:

I didn't realize March was upon us! I will have to see if we can make it down there... we have a lunch on Saturday but can maybe head out there afterwards. Oooh, might be a blackout day. Darn... how long are you guys there? We'll see...... Jordan has a premium pass though so he's free.

I have been off the boards for ages so I'm just catching up, so forgive me if I'm behind in the game...

We have not heard from John or Jordan for awhile. Anyone know if they are ok? :confused3 Maybe just busy, I hope.

Jordan was sick this week, along with Derek - icky throwing up and other unmentionable things, ha ha. He was at my house all week illin'. Maybe he'll hop on tonight as he's catsitting for our friend...

Also maybe just busy... we've all been busy... sigh. Such is life.

Angie/Dennis, when are you coming down? How long are you here?

Happy Birthday Angie!!!!

Whew! I've been busy and so have you guys! I had many, many pages to catch up on!!! With both boys playing soccer I hardly have time to log on anymore. I feel like I'm running around to one practice or another, or a game and so it goes!

John-I LOVE the picture of your dog. Too cute!

Well, it's late, I just wanted to check in. Have a great weekend everyone!

Lisa W.

Well haven't posted in awhile DH's job went bye bye and that put the trip on the chopping block so being on the boards wasn't good for me. I'm just happy to report that he's got a new job and one he really likes to boot and with only a small cash down time cruise is back on. He started this week and i was looking forward to my b'day(3/10)but as usual it's turned into a mess sometimes i really feel that it's cursed and i'm really starting to dread this time of year. I'm giving serious:headache: :scratchin to running away from home next year for my b'day maybe a dose of Disney magic pixiedust:would change my luck. So is this just a  idea to return so soon. I've always wanted a Disney birthday and next year i hit the big 40. Thanks for letting me vent as it does help.

WOW! Sounds like a pretty stressful year for you so far. (((HUGS))) Hope that it is better from here on out! My goal today is to start working on the kid's rooms. DS is going from race cars to Buzz & space. DD is going from a general fairy / princessy room to Disney Princesses. I have to take alot of stuff off their walls & patch it up. I can't find any matching paint though. DD's room would be a huge issue to repaint. :( I stenciled ivy all around the room & don't want that covered up.

It definately feels like Spring here today. Temps in the mid 60s and nothing but sun :sunny: . Girl Scouts are selling cookies outside the local coffee shop. DD was at a B-day party last night, need to go get her and bring DS to school. He is leaving with his show chior for an all-day chior festival.

I agree with Lisa W., lots of running around, I don't get much done.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Stone Mtn Park should be beautiful in early April. Plan to walk to the top of the mountain. It's an easy 1 1/2 mile climb with a great view. You'll see why we like to call Atlanta the "city of trees". With any luck you will be there in time for the azaleas and dogwoods to be in bloom.

Just because Lisa is painting her kids rooms and I have to throw in my opinion and business.

We painted this past year and vowed to use all Disney paints. Our room is 100 Acre Snowfall. (White)

The family room gave us trouble. I spent about two weeks with patches of paint on the walls of different colors paints trying to decide what to do. Buzz Light year was too dark but Fluff and Stuff was too light. Finally I mixed them both until I got what I wanted and called it Fluffy Buzz. I took a sample back to Home Depot and had them match the color and make me a batch to paint with.

Good luck with that Ivy Lisa. DD still has Pooh Bear on her walls from the Nursery days. We just keep decorating around it.

Mousketeer,
Good luck with the new job and congrats getting back on the cruise. I send a check every two weeks when I get paid to cover this thing and every two weeks it's a challenge.
