Hey all--
Just checking in, it seems like forever since I've posted.
Klineyqueen--Marching band rocks!!! (I know it makes me sound like a geek!) my HS band marched in the Rose Parade New Years of 1988, and marched at DL also. It was great. We make our kids go to the DCI show in Ankeny, IA every year. I can't wait unitl they are in HS band (two more years). Our band tries to do a trip every four years, they have one scheduled for next year, and then it will be my kids' turn. I don't think I could be a chaperone, I will be going though.
Karen--Your'e "little" project sounds like a lot of work, I'm sure that it will be worth it though. Bet you wish you could be on HGTV where the whole backyard undergoes a complete makeover in just a half-hour.
Lisa G-Have you guys decided about 2007? It hit me this weekend that DS will be a freshman in Dec of 07, good thing it's right before break and won't miss too much school.
Vanessa--Look forward to your trip report. Someday we'll go to WDW more than once a year, as soon as we retire and get rid of the kids.
Does anyone remember the WDW commercial from a few years ago about the adult son talking to his parents on the phone and whining because they wouldn't take him to WDW? That will be my kids, I have big plans for retirement, guess I should be saving my money now.
I'm exhausted today. Friday and Saturday I did Girl Scout and Sunday School stuff all day. The state swim meet for DD was yesterday. DD and I left the house at 6:45am and got home at 6:00pm. OUCH!! I'm hoping they change the format for next year by spreading it out more or dividing it by age group, it shouldn't really be an endurance contest. DD had a great meet though and swam her best times. She got 3rd overall in her butterfly, that was the one she most wanted to medal in.
This morning Snickers (the puppy-dog) and I drove up to Des Moines to bring up the camp registrations to the Girl Scout office. They started accepting them today. I brought a box of pastries from our bakery too, not exactly bribery, just a little insurance.

Then we went to PetsMart and had a little shopping spree, I got her lots of things to chew on in hopes that she will stop chewing on things like blankets and shoes.
Well, I guess I've taken enough of everyones time. Hope everyone is well.
