Hello everyone! After a work out at the gym I am trying to run thru this house & clean up. It seems like a never ending task with the kids around. I am hoping that I can touch base in every room today so that it will at least stand a chance against them when they get home this afternoon.

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Just thought I'd pop in and say hi. Life has been very busy lately.

Glad to hear everyone is well.

I'm jealous of all of you with trips booked for 07. Putting a pool in our house has really tightened the belt - cause it isn't just the pool - it is the wall and the landscaping and the fence and the pool house and the built in grill and the bar and the list goes on!!!! I told DH that if we put in one of those rip lines (the kind that takes you from like one tree to another tree....think survivor course). Anyway I told DH that if we put up rip lines we could charge people to get into our little Water World! Does that give you guys a picture of this "little" project of ours!

Afriend showed me a great way to pick up after my boys, now it only takes about 15 min for a sweep. We bought 5 laundry baskets from the dollar store. Then I set them out in the living room, put the boys toys in one, kitchen stuff in one, dining room stuff, our room, and bathroom stuff. then I take those from room to room picking up stuff, when I'm done I take them to the right room, and put stuff away. It used to take forever becouse I would pick up a few things and go put them away, then a few more and room to room. This is so easy and takes not much time at all. MUM

I got a pic uploaded on the dis photo page  but couldn't get it to load on the test for, or in my sig. I put it under franck brenda, and i'll have to go to the tech board and find a different post I guesse on how to do it. I'm just computer smart yet. but here is the link to a pic of my now eight year old Spencer- A.K. the Head Hunter

I got this far, just a few more steps :cheer2:

Hey all--

Just checking in, it seems like forever since I've posted.

Klineyqueen--Marching band rocks!!! (I know it makes me sound like a geek!) my HS band marched in the Rose Parade New Years of 1988, and marched at DL also. It was great. We make our kids go to the DCI show in Ankeny, IA every year. I can't wait unitl they are in HS band (two more years). Our band tries to do a trip every four years, they have one scheduled for next year, and then it will be my kids' turn. I don't think I could be a chaperone, I will be going though.

Karen--Your'e "little" project sounds like a lot of work, I'm sure that it will be worth it though. Bet you wish you could be on HGTV where the whole backyard undergoes a complete makeover in just a half-hour. :)

Lisa G-Have you guys decided about 2007? It hit me this weekend that DS will be a freshman in Dec of 07, good thing it's right before break and won't miss too much school.

Vanessa--Look forward to your trip report. Someday we'll go to WDW more than once a year, as soon as we retire and get rid of the kids.

Does anyone remember the WDW commercial from a few years ago about the adult son talking to his parents on the phone and whining because they wouldn't take him to WDW? That will be my kids, I have big plans for retirement, guess I should be saving my money now.

I'm exhausted today. Friday and Saturday I did Girl Scout and Sunday School stuff all day. The state swim meet for DD was yesterday. DD and I left the house at 6:45am and got home at 6:00pm. OUCH!! I'm hoping they change the format for next year by spreading it out more or dividing it by age group, it shouldn't really be an endurance contest. DD had a great meet though and swam her best times. She got 3rd overall in her butterfly, that was the one she most wanted to medal in.

This morning Snickers (the puppy-dog) and I drove up to Des Moines to bring up the camp registrations to the Girl Scout office. They started accepting them today. I brought a box of pastries from our bakery too, not exactly bribery, just a little insurance. ;) Then we went to PetsMart and had a little shopping spree, I got her lots of things to chew on in hopes that she will stop chewing on things like blankets and shoes.

Well, I guess I've taken enough of everyones time. Hope everyone is well.

If it was a mix of stuff from all over the house, that would work. DD has tons of barbie princess & polly pocket princess & other princess figures. All of these things have small accessories. They have mega blocks & regular legos that they use to build castles for these dolls. princess: DS adds his hot wheels to the mix, throw in the loving family doll house & all that comes with it...well, the family room floor is just about covered at this point. They are pretty thick skulled about only playing with one thing at a time. All of this...and much more is stored in bins on shelves in the family room. I wish that DD's room was big enough to put her toys in it! I did put the little table & chairs out in the garage. It was nice but now that we have new carpet they aren't suppose to eat in there anymore & the table has just become a dumping ground. :(

Stacie, we have booked 12/1/07 but are not really going to be thinking about it too much until after this one is done. I can only focus on one cruise at a time. :)

Hi Brack,

Will you be at DL on Thursday 3/16/06? We will be there around noon that day. We are arriving with the first group of Band members. Newberg High School Band will be playing there on Saturday, the 18th, at Carnation Plaza, from 4:00 pm to 4:25 pm. We are excited now. Maybe we can do a mini-meet?

I think, and hope, Jordan and Wendy will be there for the concert. Cool, cool, cool.:cool1:

As a matter of fact we are going to be there on the 16th. A mini-meet would be cool. I'll PM my cell number so we can talk when you arrive.:thumbsup2

This commercial is about my DW and I with my 33yo DS. He loves to go with us to WDW and he does sometimes but usually his wife can't go with us. She is very nice about letting him go with us.

Dutch Girl Scout- How old is snickers? Our dogs were crazy when we first got married. Now they are just LAZY!!!!

Mum - I love the basket idea! I always make a million trips around the house - that would really cut down on time!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

I just ordered a Jack Sparrow costume from Disney Shopping. It will be for my husband for Halloween and Pirate Night. I am very excited about the whole pirate thing. Will others be dressing up for pirate night? I did my pirate name and it came back as Captain Anne Cash...does that mean I am bossy????? :scratchin

KlineyQueen,

I have one of those. Whew did it ever smell musty, or mildewy when we got it. It isn't quite as ripe now, LOL. MrsMork did something to make it smell a little better. I hope yours doesn't end up smelling too. I am curious to know if it does.
I am hoping it wasn't just me. LOL.
