The low tonight is supposed to be 53 here. It was 84 on my way in to work.


I think I am actually starting to feel a bit more normal today. The girls got off to school pretty well --- that's always an accomplishment in itself. Haley decided to get up around 3 and just wanted me to hold her.

Well, I better finish my stuff and then I am off to the gym to work out some aggression. (and watch some mindless tv!)

we had snow flurries today. my thermometer said it was 40 but with the wind chill I guess it was cold enough for flurries. I am not ready for this yet.

If you want to park at the terminal you do but I will have DH drop me off with one of the kids before he gets in that line. I can go in & get checked in & he can pick up his KTTW card.

OK lets see if I understand this. DH can let me and the kids out at the shuttle drop off without our luggage. We can go in and get checked in (or at least get our boarding pass) while DH gets in the "car line" and drops off the luggage, parks across the street and meets us inside the terminal. Is that correct? Is the car line long? Wouldn't it be easier for all of us to pull up, drop off our luggage, park across the street and then walk to the terminal together? That is what we did last year but we were not there right at 10:00.

Can kids have electric blankets now? I WONDERED in my desperation after I purchased it. Does it cause reproductive issues? I recall having them at my best friends house and she had 4 kids so I am some how thinking that is not correct. I'll need to google it. Gee, am I a bad parent now? Is she going to be a genetic wonder like the cheerleader??

Do you drop off your luggage first? Why is this hard for me to understand.

This is a little difficult for me as well. The last time I drove to the port we drove inside the fence and next to the left side of the building. There a porter took our luggage (except what we were carrying) from us. Then we drove out of the gate and across the street to park.

Has this changed?

Nope! But they have a few on staff..... Every time 401k laws change with Safe Harbor and Top Heavy status.... they get to reprogram.

Yes - I spend most of the end of the year reprogramming all of the changes to tax and benefit stuff. It is amazing that I am able to go on this particular cruise because when I get back I won't be able to breathe until March.

And then this upcoming year we are doing our Sox compliancy audits on our Investments and Payroll/Profit Sharing systems so I will be buried under all kind of stuff then.

OMG! Nathan is a GENIUS! He is not just smart but profoundly gifted. I feel so much better now....

Car service is looking more appealing just 'cause I can't get the process correct on what I am suppose to do - I don't know it just feels overwhelming. Also knowing it would be ME dropping off I'm not sure I want the hassle. Heck we can survive one night NOT having a car trapped at Residence Inn can't we. You can see by the word trapped I'm still not sure

Hey, I'm still stressing about how we're getting to the port!!! Now I have to worry about car lines, shuttle lines, etc., too????

Now, here's the planning challenge:
There are 11 of us (3 different flights set to arrive at MCO Friday around dinnertime). (Mom & Dad driving separately; don't worry about them.) Have to get us all (and lots of luggage) to the Residence Inn (where Karen and I will not know each other or Jodie the bride). Then have to get all 9 of us (and all that luggage) from the Residence Inn to DCL.

And once you have figured that out, figure out the best way (efficient & best use of $$) for the return transportation: On Saturday, 2 go to MCO (but have a later afternoon flight) and 9 go to Universal (as early as possible so the coaster fans can ride to their hearts' content). Then, on Sunday, get the 9 (group of 4 and group of 5) from Universal to the airport for their separate flights. Got it??
