I am so happy they are replaying GA tonight. Last night I missed it again because the girls were still up when it came on, and needless to say, I had to turn the channel and missed the beginning. Later, I watched last weeks finally on the net. Now I can be all caught up! :thumbsup2

Caroline -- Did you see GA last night? I managed to catch it Thursday night.

Wasn't that terrible? :( Did you see that check??? :thumbsup2

Did we know Denny was rich before? I must've missed something last year. I remember him telling her he was "well off", but that's all. :confused3 $8M.....whoa!

I am with you Becka on the need for several out fits a day - I am trying to walk myself through this. and how to avoid it. Laundry is one viable option.

DD has several outfits that are reversible - love you Gymboree!! I will definitely bring those.

Gymboree used to be my only source for socks when the DS's were little. They never wore out....even under extreme, kid-tested conditions!

Loved Gymboree! :thumbsup2

...I'm taking pictures of a wedding today. The son of one our Officer friends who is just back from Iraq. It will be great.

How cool! :thumbsup2

We'd been corresponding with the son of some friends of ours who was stationed in Mosul, Iraq. About two months ago, his unit was on patrol and encountered one of those roadside suicide bombers. Luckily, the bomb detonated just in front of their vehicle (any later and they all most likely would have been killed). The friends' son/soldier suffered severe burns to his face, arms & hands as he was the driver that day.

After a while in Germany and then a world-class burn unit in San Antonio, Texas.....he came home for a visit. His folks sent an email to everyone that had been writing to him to let us know he was flying back into Reagan National Airport (D.C.) at about 11 p.m. one night.

Because of weather delays, his flight actually didn't get in 'til almost 1:15 a.m., but over 100 people (relatives, friends, acquaintenances, etc.) ALL came to the airport, stayed 'til his flight got in and welcomed him home! I still get choked up/teary just thinking about it now. People had banners, flags, signs......everyone cheered. The friend's son/soldier had no idea people were coming to greet him. It was a Hallmark moment.

afternoon all....

well I was up early even though I tossed and turned all night.

I took some pool water to be tested - my first time - and it was a hoot!! The two guys in there were arguing over who was going to help me...made me smile! I only needed three cups of acid, so I must be doing an ok job on the chemistry. They did explain to me how to get my Navigator back in the pool. Seems I wasn't paying attention to that during the pool school lesson!

I put the girls to nap and I am going to go get some sun -- hopefully the girls will sleep all afternoon. This pool is great and I'm glad we did it, but it's so hard to really enjoy it yet - aside from alone time. When the girls are out there I am on edge, Samantha can pretty much swim but Haley...NO and she will jump right in to you no fear! I think she will be swimming within 6 months. My point is I think trying to sit out there with the girls in the afternoon is more stressful than anything.

Big game tonight....I am worried. Auburn is hungry and mad and wants revenge this week. What better way to do it than to knock off the team who took over there ranking?

I was going through my pirate stuff from last year and I have a 100 foot banner - maybe we can string it in the hallway? I can always order more.....

Well, this is just too sad.

There are teenagers in the Library sitting across from me at the computer terminals researching "the 70's" for a school paper. Every now and then they say something out loud and laugh about how weird it is.

Jeez......you know you're O-L-D when they're talking about things you lived through like it happened in the dark ages! :sad2:

Also Charlotte I haven't been on the website in a while and saw your "picture" this morning. :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We were discussing rotary phones lunch one day at the conference. I always wanted the phone that was Alexander Graham Bell one. Everyone of course thought I wanted the Mickey Mouse phone  No I did not I explained (very indignant). Of course I neglected to say I wanted it when I had my own apartment not living at home - sheesh. Come on people don't they know anything ?! :teeth:

You want dark ages? Watch "Back to the Future Part II" It occurs in the year 2015.

Where's my Hoovercraft? Only 9 years left to get them on the road.

DGS just got home from work and he is happy, happy tonight. :woohoo: He got his employee discount card today AND it was double discount day for employees - he got an IPOD and saved about $70 on it, and a pair of shoes for $30 that were regular $60. AND the best part he got his real shiny name badge, no more funky temp badge for him! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Does that mean he is staying in one place now?? :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I never signed off from this morning and I had three tabs open: This thread showing my last posting, the DVC member page, the AKV pdf announcement and our cruise webpage. When I realized I flew into my office and took my screen off sleep to see if it looked the same - phew....no one was in there.

I always shut down - what was I thinking?

Angie - fabulous idea add on and use points for cruise. The way the prices went up the thought did cross my mind that I might need to figure out points to cruise now. I must say DH is very surprised that we are not going to WDW in December. Of course he raised his eyebrows when I showed DD the 2007 WDW guide. I reminded him I do buy them everyyear (for the pictures). I do and I did. So, no Dec trip. However I still will look at that pin thing I got on email. In the meanwhile I have errands to do and then will finally sit down to read all of those past days.

Giona is hopeless - as soon as he breathes his clothes are dirty - sometimes I just have to resort to turning his shirt around so I don't have to look at it if I haven't brought a change of clothes. LOL.

Amanda is my messy one!
