DGS just came home after picking up and cashing his first week's pay check. :woohoo: He was very excited. He bought 3 boxes of Cheez-its. He shared some with us and told us he got $174. DrHug wanted to know where his rent money is :teeth: , DGS :rotfl2: and I said "so you get all that money and all we get is some stinkin' Cheez-its?" DGS was then  Golly, I remember when $174 seemed like a lot of money! :rolleyes1

Another Tar Heel is a good thing... if the second test confirms things, I suspect there may be some hand-me-downs offered!

And you don't need a bigger house... DS3 is in the room that was the storage/office area. Doesn't every baby/toddler have file cabinets as part of the nursery decor?

I just bet there are plenty of baby clothes around, with this group you won't have to worry. Perhaps a sweet little girl this time?

We are getting 40 lbs of Pinot grapes tonight from a friend who drives a Limo on winery tours. He made friends with some of the local vinters. :thumbsup2 Then Sunday DD is going to pick up some green grapes of some type for us also. We will be in the winemaking business again this weekend! :woohoo: We did not make any last year, but year before last's batch is tasting pretty good! :dance3: We plan to bring a bottle or three of the batch made 2 years ago for the wine tasting on the ship. MMMMM....

I am so glad I found this group because I am so full of not so sure how I feel..... Well at least I don't have to cancel my trip since I won't be too far along.....Last time I did cancel because my cruise would have hit at 27wks!

okay - i can share this with you guys....

I just had a jerk come into my office...not one of my workers but some othere office. Anway - he caught an attitude..we went back and forth...bottom line...I realy had to put him in his place...not very fun...but when he left I was fuming....then another lady in my office came in and said she heard all that and thought I needed a hug. I was fine till she came in and then I started crying. I HATE WHEN I CRY IN THE OFFICE. DH gets down right ANGRY at me if I cry in the office. So all you other DH don't need to comment here!!! I know it is that femaile thing...but geesh!!! And then I get more mad at myself for crying so the whole thing becomes this downward spiral.

Anyway - YUCK! Just had to get it off my chest....I keep checking to see how red my eyes are. I think it will be Margaritas for lunch today!

:sad2: :sad2:

I tore up an entire legal pad at work yesterday I got so frustrated with one of my co-workers.

I'm back ..... It was a great week in WV at camp. We had a lot of fun and learned a few things too. Always a good combination!

It was a biannual meeting of the Officers from WV and MD. One of the things we did for a fun night was to try and guess what jobs each of us had earlier in our lives. We found out that one of best friends was Cinderella at WDW about 20 years ago. I knew that they were as big a Disney Freak as we were but did not know that. I asked for a picture.

One of the other Officers is on Wheel of Fortune tonight so I have it TiVo'd.

Hope everyone is well. I have a lot of posts to catch up on. Maybe I'll get everything unpacked and can make the chat tonight. See ya then.

Sorry Carla . . .

I had to fill out a personal profile today for the school board, and it asked if I had a quote to live by . . .

My favorite quote is one by Albert Einstein:

"In the middle of difficulty, lies opportunity"

Amy bought me that engraved on a stone several years ago, when I was having different kinds of rough times at work. It has helped me focus on the positive.

Of course, I also have above my desk this anonymous quote:

"Never wrestle with a pig, you just get dirty, and the pig enjoys it"

John1

Two very nice quotes. I usually will bring a quote into our staff meetings...I think quotes can sum up a lot and can really get you thinking.

So neat, Angie!
One of DH's fellow docs makes wine every year. He makes quite a lot of bottles each year, and shares generously. He always tells people: If you like it, tell him and he'll be glad to give you another bottle of that variety. If you don't, no problem--don't complain, it didn't cost you anything.

(if you think i'm nuts you should see the favors i did for my sister's baby shower; i bought 50 flower pots and saucers; spray painted them white; glued ribbon to the top rim, added dots on this sides to match the ribbon, did an attached card with poem, filled with blue shreaded paper and baby's breath seed packet. They were really cute.)[/QUOTE]

Very creative idea....I am going to have to put this in my file...too bad my brother just had the baby, that would have been perfect :thumbsup2

For Becka or anyone else wondering about Flounders availability:
Looks like lots of time is still available. Every day has 5:30pm-12 available.
In addition to that, these morning times are available:
Sun: 9a-1p
Mon: 10a-2p
Tue: 9a-2p
Wed: 9a-2p
Thu: 10a-2p
Fri: 9a-1p

Thanks!!!!

It looks like all available times are still available. I am hoping for some drop in availability if needed. So far so good... :)

Kristina!
I forgot to mention this: Last night at DD8's soccer practice, one of the moms brought their Berner! She was about 18 months old and HUGE! The lady said they have an older one at home, and this one is much bigger than the older one. The dog's name is Georgia, and she was so fluffy and sweet.

Gotta go....see you guys later this weekend. :wave2:

ok so here is some news that has put me in SEVERE SHOCK!!!
Remember I have DS 11 and DS 2 and now according to a little stick with a FAINT line that there will be another so today I smiled  cried :sad2: smiled :lovestruc cried :guilty: ..... My dh said to not cry and I said I gave away all my baby stuff and WE NEED a BIGGER HOUSE!!! But hey it was only one test and I have another that I will take on SUNDAY....I am not sure how I feel... Last time we planned this time :confused3

I didn't post much about it, but I had a scare about 3 weeks ago....I was freaking out. I know this doesn't help, but I know what you mean. Last December's cruise was really what we booked for Dec '04 but since I was over 24 weeks in Dec I had to change, and all that was due to a pricing episode on cruise #1!

I have tons and tons of princess clothes!!

Well, I have been very domestic tonight. Shrimp in the fridge chilling as is the cucumber salad, a spicy red pepper sauce with portabella mushrooms and onions is simmering on the stove and the only thing needing to be cooked is the ravioli. A nice Publix garlic loaf to go with it as well.....yum!

Bye Becka, have a great weekend - sorry I couldn't look up Flounder's I booked all mine but that's great that there is plenty available in the evenings.

We will watch for your friend on WOF tonight! Very cool! Cinderella, WOW! We know Raggedy Ann - also Chip and Dale.

And welcome back, glad you had a good time.

This will be the 4th time we have made it. We make whatever/whenever we can get free grapes. We made 70 or 80 some bottles last time (correct me if I'm wrong on the number DrHug). Before that it was much less maybe 20 some bottles. We should have quite a few this year with two different grapes. I think DD will be able to get as many as we want as her friend is tearing out his grapevines and she said there are LOTS. Having enough crocks and carboys to make it in is something else.

As far as liking it. Last Thanksgiving we opened the batch we made the year before. Lots of family here and they had all brought their favorite wines to drink/share. After tasting ours, most of theirs went unopened and they either left it here or took it back home with them. The funny thing was that it was made from concord grapes, which are not viewed as the greatest grapes for wine. We will see how the Pinot we make this year compares. ;)
