I like
Walmart and wish they would put a supercenter closer to us. It has been very good to our family. DrHug managed their pharmacy for a few years and it was the best retailer he has worked for (and he has worked for several) as far as pharmacy goes. Better pay, better bonus, and the pharmacy manager actually manages the pharmacy and answers only to the Pharmacy District Manager, not the store manager who knows nothing about pharmacy or the pharmacy laws. The pharmacy techs that he worked with 8 years ago are still there, happy with their jobs and doing quite well.
We also have several relatives that are Walmart employees at many levels of the organization from Exec Vice President to putting bikes together - with benefits and decent pay despite what you hear.
Our retirement plan includes parking our RV in Walmart parking lots as we travel the county.
Sorry, will get off my soapbox now. I don't want to start a war on this board for sure, but not everything about Walmart is bad and I do have some loyalty to them for taking care of our family while DrHug worked for them. Guess we will need to agree to disagree.
