Both of my kids got out of their cribs at 18 months. DS was done because DD was due in 3 months & that is what his doctor recommended. I did up the guest room in Blue's Clues & he only needed one look to decide that he wanted to stay in there. ;) They both started sleeping thru the night at that point. :) :) :) DS was just too big for his crib & had night terrors. He would roll over & knock into the railing...even with the bumper pad on...and wake himself up. In the double bed with rail he never touched anything so slept all night. AHHHH! That was a wonderful time!

Brandi, Do you have a rollerball mouse, or an optical mouse (look underneath, is there a red light?)

remember last year - didn't we hit 3000? But to be fair I think this thread was started while that one was going as well....;) I know I didn't particpate hardly at all in this thread (mostly until recently) but definitely not too much before last year's cruise was over!

V, that thread was started by YOU on 8/27/04. We joined in after our 12/4/04 cruise. There are a whopping 213 pages and 3195 posts. And we thought we were :smooth:. :rotfl:

This thread was started on 11/25/04 by GoofyFD. Most of the action started after our 12/10/05 thread when we invaded this one. ;) On 12/9/05 when we were in PC anxiously awaiting boarding the next morning PJ made this prophetic statement in post #532....

I can see late nights in Rockn' D Bar, ahead for this cruise!

Little did she know!!!

So, since 12/9/05 there have been almost 9000 posts. I think that it is fair to say that this thread has blown that one out of the water. :cheer2:

Its actually not a Jeep excursion per say - we know the Island very well , and when we cruise to the island we rent a jeep for a day and go around the island and stop at various places and enjoy the scenery ....Most people dont venture to the east side of the island , and there is miles and miles of quite beaches and very nice places to hang out and have a cold one ..

Hi Todd -
I did understand that it wasn't DCL, but an 'on-your-own' thing that you'd offered to include others in. I was just curious if you'd already decided when leaving/returning, where going, kids going, etc etc...being the OCD person that I am...LOL Being jeepers and lovers of margaritas, I thought we might like to tag along... Thanks! :thumbsup2 Diana

Did anyone order smalls/mediums that could use the XS?? Maybe those of us still needing to order could do a swap??

I did get the S & M for the kids but they would be good in the XS & S. I would just keep the Large for DS to grow into. LMK. If you are still up for meeting near Baltimore we could swap them there. Does that help you out or do you need more?

hmmmm.... I dunno.... I checked the inbox and deleted box... not there :confused3

I just sent one to your email to make sure that it is going thru. :) There wasn't any info in the other email. Just a check to make sure everyone was getting it. :)

Ya know I hear this every once in awhile too and it baffles me cause I have been there probably over 30 or so times and have never had a problem ....It really depends on ones attitude I think , this is not the states , so things are different ...A 5 star hotel rated in Mexico is not a 5 star that your use to here...Its in someways a third world country , and if you smile and relax and submerse yourself in a different culture you really wont have any problems ...Its usally the Uptight Americans who want everything right now and yesterday are the ones that usally have a problem ... :confused3

Todd, you are practically a local there...they don't want to give you the junky jeep. ;) JK! :)

Yes Todd - we might be interested in getting a jeep and following...we could create a caravan of jeeps doing Todd's Tour!!!

I'M CAUGHT UP!!!

Okay Lisa - there has got to be a Disboard award that the mods give to the most active thread. I know those community board threads get active, but this was truly a marathon!! I'm exhausted thinking about catching up with you folks after tonight.

Todd I think that would be fun - but I don't know if you realize what you are getting in to!

ME TOO!! Took me all day though - and to think...I thought I was going to clean the bathrooms today!! hahahahahahaha

OK let's see if I can catch up now that I have the 3 things I had to have done for today done! I think that deserves a little banana dancing, don't you?

Brandi - We used the Pack n' Play for DD on our last cruise when she was 12 months and it worked really well. She never seemed to have a problem with it. Of course she was also always worn out by the end of the night so that might have helped some. ;)

10,000 Post Prediction - I think it will be Lisa in the library with the candlestick...oops wrong thread! :lmao: I do think it will be Lisa on Thursday evening around 9:37 PM Eastern time. :teeth:

Diana - I would love to join you for a margarita. I do love them with lots of salt. I will not be doing the margarita testing because it is mostly a tequila tasting from what I understand with lots of tequila shots. I love margaritas but I am a light weight in the drinking department and after 3 shots or so I would be done for the day. As someone posted on the main board once it would be 1 Tequila, 2 Tequila, 3 Tequila...Floor! :rotfl2:

We took DS out of his crib right around 22 months when he started trying to climb out. DD has not tried to climb out yet but I think she is getting close. She loves DS's bed and you often times will find her sneaking in there just to lay down on it. When DS went to a bed we transitioned him from the crib to a twin bed with the bed rails. I could do the same with DD but I also considering a toddler bed. For some reason she just seems so much smaller than DS and I think she would love the little princess toddler bed. Decisions...decisions.... :)

To my fellow cruisers in reasonable distance to the Philly airport: Southwest now has $59 one way PHL-MCO available. (Rates are only available through Dec 10). So our family is now getting to Orlando for about $200 less than we were before!! (and when the rates come out for later in Dec, I can book the return trip using the funds from the original reservation!)

Anyway, for those flying Southwest from Philly or elsewhere, see if you have a better deal, too.

It can't be any worse that linking dining & the CM tour. :rolleyes1

Becka - we have the princess toddler bed and Samantha loved it - to look at and play on but for some reason wanted a big girl bed to actually sleep on. I kept it and plan to use it for Haley but until she shows signs of climbing out - I'm keeping her in the crib.
I remember one day I had laid Samantha down and it was around 9pm DH and I were watching tv and she comes walking out...that was the end of the crib for her!

Okay ...since most of you are asking , here is our plan ---When we get to Coz we are getting off the ship as early as we can (hopefully we will be docking by then ....Rent a Jeep and heading out ....Probably will be back in town around 1 - 1:30 - grab a late lunch at Casa Denis and head back to the ship by around 4 ish (have to get ready for Captain Jack's apperance )...We are bringing are DS5 and DS14 ( we usally let him drive on the back side of the island :lmao: ) not in town though .... Any of you are welcome to join and follow or go on your own ....we wont be doing any off road stuff unless the road is still washed out to Playa del Corona which it really isnt off road but a dirt road to get there which is only about 100 yds...

we will stop at three different Bar's /Beaches and probaly stop at a lonley beach or two ...Our main stop will be at Coconuts ...it sits ontop of a cliff overlooking the ocean ..it is very beautiful , this is a fun place and if you dare you can either look at the family albums or join the family albums ..Hence the name Coconuts ...(just so you know , if you join it would never be in front of strangers or kids ..LOL ) There is no electricity there so everything is cooked on a grill and its great ...
