Friday night we went to the viewing for my colleague. The viewing was from 5 - 9. We arrived a little before 5 and there was a line. When we left it was very long. The interesting thing about the town he taught. They all unite!!!! I went to bed around 11:00 thinking, I hope they are not still at the funeral home.

You know, John, it must be this new FIOS connection... sometimes the letters are moving so fast they must rearrange themselves...

I am so jealous! I called Verizon about getting FIOS and it is not in my area. They can't even tell me when it will be.

I went to the Women of Faith convention that was held in Philly this past weekend. It was amazing!!!!! I felt very energized after leaving there!

Good for you Brandi. Annette loves those kind of meetings.

We send a Christmas Card to President and Mrs. Bush every year (I know, I know!) and they send us one. So, I gave DD our Christmas card list as a reference for invitations to our "surprise" anniversary party she is having for us. She sent them an invitation -- Cinderella Royal Affair invitation of course --. So today she came to my office to let me listen to a VM on her cell phone. The President's scheduling office called her to RSVP. The woman introduced herself, said they received the invitation but unfortunately the President's schedule will not allow him to attend! What on earth could he be doing that is more important than this Royal Affair? She also left her phone number incase DD had any questions. We were completely surprised. I expected a form letter saying thank you for thinking of us or somthing, not a personnal phone call. Too funny!

My plan is to do a trip report of our "Annual September Dodd Family Pilgrimage" to WDW. We had a great time even though work "haunted" all three of us this time.

Heh heh. Do you want the pink ones with the little butterfly bling bling? I don't know if Ang told you, but DGS saw a big outlaw biker wearing the pink ones, with the bling, in Fred Meyers a couple of weeks ago. He said the guy was huge, and had his colors on and was carrying a 12 pack to the registers. Of course nobody said anything about HIS shoes.

I just heard a story on a tech podcast I listen to that the FIOS installers somewhere caught a house on fire when trying to do an installation!



Sure has been Angie! FIOS is a new fiber optic internet service.

Yeah! We have that here ANg, but there aren't any FO lines up to the mountain.

Oh, I see. Too high tech for us hill folks out west. We do have phone wires though so we can get dial up.

The Fiber optic network runs 1/2 mile down the hill from us. They put it in in the mid 90's. Everyone else downhill can get it, but we can't. ARGH! (Not a pirate sound!)

We had a co-worker, mid 30's, who had a stroke this week, his father also works with us, was quite a shock for everyone. Seems like most people who have held his position has had heart or stroke issues, he is the lead hand in our receiving department, and it is their busiest time of the year.

Well this time tomorrow night I should be a Mac user! The University bookstore should have my computer ready for me to pick up tomorrow afternoon. It is probably none too early either because I think the power supply on this one is going out. I would love to wait until Leopard is released but I just don't think this computer will hold out that long.
