DrHug is sick again! He is freezing cold, his eyes are red and burn, and all his joints hurt. This is the third crud he has gotten since we came home from the cruise. He had the bad chest conjestion thing, the terrible stomach virus that lasted days for him - about 10-12 hours for the rest of us - and now this. He is back in bed for the second time today, and he did not get up until almost 10. I need to get him out of those pharmacies where all the sick people are!
GIVE NOTHING BACK!
I just sometimes have trouble picturing Angie as that kind ofShe is just far too sweet and innocent.
And Angie snags the mini!!!
Brack was probably drawn to the thread because of the Peeps conversation!
Chicken soup and's
pun intended![]()
Brack, did you get to see today's UNC-Wake game? The 57 and 82 teams were honored at halftime. Very special.
ummmmmhhh PEEPS! Do they come in Carolina Blue?![]()
The Easter peeps do... but I have to say that I do not like the blue ones. Too much food coloring affects the marshmallow/sugar crust balance!
Did you get the snowman peeps in your cruise stocking?
I missed the game. We are in Durham (actually Butner north of Durham) visiting my MIL. I saw the local paper today at the Starbucks in Durham and they had the story on the halftime celebration. Everyone but Doherty was to be there. I bet it was cool.
Yes and they survived about as long as snow on CC!![]()
Doherty tried to rearrange the SMU schedule but couldn't get it done. Cecil Exum also missed the celebration because he lives in Australia now. And of course, some members of the 57 team have passed away.
Hey, once you open the package, they're doomed.
So, do you have Nathan's meals limited to fresh fruit and Fluff??
That is one of our "silver linings". We are telling ourselves that this is actually a healthier way to eat. After all snacking on organic brown rice cakes is far better than eating ice cream.
who you kidding? there are lots of rice versions of ice cream aren't there?
Becka - whatever you think of Marilu Henner - her books contain a lot of recipes for living wheat, meat and dairy free. She has 2 young boys and she has always fed them that way. B&N usually has her stuff on remainder or the library should have them. She has some quick dinner recipes too.
I don't think I personally will be eating them. However, DS ate two this afternoon. Either he was starving or he has some kind of medical problem with his taste buds.....
That may help explain why he was the most unpicky toddler I have ever seen.....
Giona loves rice cakes too. It surprises me - Jaea of course would not touch one - not enough sugar for her. They come in lots of great flavors - chocolate peanut butter etc.
try him with almond butter or some of the fruit spreads as a substitute for butter and cream cheese.

DH said the regular rice cakes have something in them DS can't have...probably some corn derivative.
DH did find some organic apple butter that will work and some canola margarine so hopefully that stuff will taste decent. DH spent 3 1/2 hours at the grocery store reading labels to try to find stuff that will work for DS. It looks like we have an entire organic marketplace in our pantry.
I think he found so many organic products to work that he even bought organic apples. I told him there was no problem buying organic apples but that fresh fruit didn't need to be organic to be dairy and corn free.![]()
