Do you think when people come to our front door they know we are a Disney family?

the mac versus pc thing has me intrigued. I have always been a pc. we did have access to the real old apple machines and they really stunk. our kids use macs up until high school and then they switch to pc. most businesses still use pc. the macs are much better for artistic businesses such as printers and designers. they are very simple to use from what I understand. unfortunately, we will never have a chance to even investigate the macs further. both DH & my job are very computer oriented and both of our employers are still pc based. the new duo processors might be something we look into but we will have to wait and make sure that all the software we run at work could run on it.

the best suggestion I can give is to do your homework. figure out what you really need the computer for. a pc based laptop can be purchased for under $500 and do what most people want it to do. I am not sure what ibooks are going for at this point.

good luck and enjoy getting your new machine. I love presents.

This is where Eliza lived for 3 days. She was not in it for the first 2 days. The day I thought we were going home she went into this for 3 days. Since I was nursing her I was allowed to stay there the whole time. oh yeah...she was jaundice by the way.

This is for John and PJ...

Top Ten Reasons for Upgrading to a PC instead of a Mac:

* 1. You enjoy reading computer manuals
* 2. Buying parts 'not included' is your idea of being patriotic
* 3. Blaming it on the PC is a great excuse... for anything
* 4. Tech support is your idea of telephone dating
* 5. Your favorite computer game is figuring out where your files are
* 6. You look forward to today's new virus (or worm, or both)
* 7. You like listening to telephone support hold-button music
* 8. Letting the kids play on the Mac next door frees your time (eliminates after-school kid sitters)
* 9. You think Bill Gates deserves the money
* 10. You have nothing better to do with all the extra time

If they don't they are hopeless. Maybe you should ask the former SSP to stop by...if she doesn't mention it, just give her a basket of cookies & wish her well. ;)

Is it just me or is the board painfully slow? :badpc:

I had a crazy long day but I will be sure to break it all up into smaller posts so we can up our post count. ;)

It's killing me. I've already been kicked off once. I thought it was because I was being rude to yankees.

Either that or it's because I have a PC instead of a Mac.

Super deal tonight, stop on the way home to get window washer fluid, on the way to the cash, there was a rack of shorts, check them out, my size! For the great price of $1@! I grab a light blue, beige and black pair. Have plenty of shorts for the cruise, and I picked up my normal size and I have tones of buffet room in them, woo hoo. I was shocked when I put them on, so much room. At the beginning of the summer, I would have had trouble buttoning them up, :guilty: . I want to know why I am losing, so I could double it up and lose more, lol.

I already told you about my car not starting so you know how my day started. Well DH ended up having to go back to the doctor because he thinks he is developing an allergy to the pinkeye medicine...sound familiar? The doctor agreed and prescribed some non-sulfur drops for his eyes.

He got out of his appointment around 10:50 and he didn't want to go back to work for only 20-30 minutes or so before the lunch hour so he called me to see if I wanted to eat lunch with him. Since we don't get the opportunity to eat together without kids I really wanted to go. My WW meeting is usually over lunch on Monday but I decided to go ahead and weigh-in and then skip the meeting so I could meet Aaron. I had packed a tuna thing with some crackers and an applesauce but DH wanted to go to Chevy's (Mexican place ... I don't know how national they are). Chevy's is my FAVORITE restaurant and I am absolutely addicted to their chips and salsa. I am a salsa afficianado and their salsa is in my top 3 ever! It is fabulous!

Ack! Here I just had a fabulous weigh-in and now this on top of all the other temptations awaiting me later this week. We were seated and of course the big basket of warm chips and bowl of salsa were placed right in front of me. Somehow (I think a higher power was involved) I only ate 4 chips with some salsa!!!! It is some kind of miracle.

Ordering was a little harder because Mexican restaurants are not known for being WW friendly. I decided on the chicken quesadilla with no sour cream or guacamole. It was quite tasty and I loaded it up with that great salsa! I swear brussels sprouts and lima beans would taste great with that stuff. The quesadilla was big and while I managed to finish it off I was stuffed and I had not had anything else to eat all day. That was also amazing to me because I used to be able to polish off a quesadilla and a basket of chips and salsa and still not feel really full! It is no wonder I need to lose a ton of weight.

Anyway the hard part is always counting points when you don't know calories. I ended up looking up the points for other restaurants quesadillas and averaging the points and I came up with 20 points which seems a little high but I would rather count higher points than necessary than under. Because I had so many points at lunch that meant tonight for dinner it was a 4 point Smart Ones turkey dinner.

Excellent work PJ! You are going to look great!
Maybe you should let the servers seat you "single" at WCC after all!

No, I can't be matched up with an American, the green card process is a pain in the rear, lol.
