A good percentage of flu vaccines are being administered here at the Pharmacies. We have been giving them since the end of September. Nobody under 15 though. Kids with health problems have to get them from their Physicians. Most of the kids don't get them.

Dr. Hug, How come you all have to do that and we don't? That hardly seems fair.

There is a distribution problem. I heard on the news that there is plenty, but the Northwest was having difficulty getting enough. Our medical center does not know from week to week if we will be able to have the flu clinics. We have a hotline for the vets to call before they come in to be sure we have vaccine. :confused3

Angie, that is horrible! I can get a new costume for DD in 1 day, but vets can't get access to flu shots? Maybe I am just not understanding, but this seems really, and here comes the bad word again, stupid.

Good night, everyone. hey, it's Halloween! And it's happy birthday time in V's house!

I heard on the news that it was this whole area, just seems to be trickling in. Not just the Vets Hospital.

Hmmmmmmmm. Dodedodedodedodedo! I am going to work tomorrow as a Pharmacist. Pretty scary alright!

You could always go as the "mad" pharmacist. Dr. Hug, another odd question. Today I went to by Aleve cold and sinus. I had to take a paper to Customer Service and fill out a form before I could buy it. It is less effort for me to buy controlled substances than that. Do you have that rule in OR too?

Tell her that is crazy!! Sophia is 6 and still uses a stroller. I wouldn't have it any other way. Is she going to wait until they are in their teens????

I'm with you amy. They get so tired after a few hours and I can get through the park a lot faster with the stroller. DH and I keep forgetting she has to run when we are walking. Shorter legs.

alright bedtime for V. This time 4 years ago I was getting pumped with morphine....for my pain~she was SO worth it!

We have to have a prescription for any pseuoephedrine product here now. The old cold products with "Sudafed" in them are now schedule III. The OTC cold preps have phenylephrine in them now. Up until June, this year, we were selling a limited amount to patients/customers, and they had to show I.D. and sign for them. Now they are prescription (Pseudoephedrine). Did your Aleve Cold and Sinus still have PSE in it?

Yes it has pseudoephedrine HCI 120 mg. Would that be prescription in OR? It seemed so wierd to me because I had just been to the drug store for antibotics and steriods for my infection....

Yes. That is a CIII here now. I think we may be the only state to have put it on the "Narcotic" Schedule. Rx only. Other states may follow because of Oregon and the Meth problems.
