A minister was completing a
Temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, "If I
had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the
river."
With even greater emphasis he said, "And if I had
all the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."
And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he
said, "And if I had all the whiskey in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river."
Sermon complete, he sat down.
The song leader stood very cautiously and announced
with a smile, nearly laughing, "For our closing song,
let us sing Hymn #365, "Shall We Gather at the River."
Smile, life is too short not to !!
If this brightened your day
Don't let it stop here
Pass it on with a smile
Keep spreading the Cheer.
See you at the river
I had to take Jake's at 15 months. He expected me to get out of bed every hour and give him is binkie...no way!!! I went back to work and could not handle that. He cried for about 3 days and was over it. Eliza never had an interest. Not a problem.pyramid2000 said:I got really lucky with the pacifier (my kids called it a nummy-num which came from the oldest cousin). Sarah didn't have anything, but Amanda LOVED hers! She always had two ro three with her when she went to bed. By 1 and a half, I think, she could only have them at bedtime. You never saw a kid loving to go to bed or take a nap so much! Anyway, one night my niece was babysitting and couldn't find them when she put her to bed. She did get to sleep without a problem. Of course I found them, but I didn't tell Amanda! For about a month she would tell me to look for them when I put her to bed, but she slept fine. I can't remember what happened with Dina.

becka said:Marielle - Don't worry about your DS. He will fit right in with my DS who wants to be a part nudist. The only clothes he wants to wear is underwear. When he gets home he immediately starts taking off clothes and within half an hour it is just underwear. That is how he wants to sleep as well. We have been at friend's houses before and he starts to strip right in their living rooms, etc.. He doesn't even think anything of it until I remind him he is not at HOME!
I need to get him to start wearing more clothes at home. I was thinking of some nice character lounge pants but I can't find them in his size just yet.

hey we don't want to lose our table mates. What if you had purchased non-refundable tickets long before? Maybe they could let out a few staffers but just not a general policy.
With the trip insurance - does it fully reimburse you? or do you lose some portion?
ugh rotten choices. good luck with making your decision.

I work for the state legislature - nonpartisan staff that drafts bills, etc. About a week ago we were told at work not to buy any nonrefundable tickets for the holidays. (And who is just now getting around to buying tickets?) The followup was that all vacation time between now and Jan 7 is conditional. If we go into session after elections - no vacation time.
And after the election returns I know - the punch line today will be - we are going into lame duck session until January 7. So my choice is - give my 2 weeks notice, or cancel the cruise.
(Do I hear "quit quit quit" coming from these boards)
Will keep you posted - thanks for the PD
