I know just what you mean about seeing them really enjoy what they are doing. The part of Candlelight Processional that I love the most - although I love it all - is looking into the faces of the teenagers in the guest choirs. It's pretty clear that some of them LOVE their music and here they are at WDW performing this wonderful program. I cry everytime we go. Getting goosebumps just thinking about it.MMcCarthy said:DD had a wonderful concert tonight. it was a "Diva" concert just with the women's chorus. they started the concert with "warrior" by the weir sisters. I had never heard it but it sent shivers up and down my spine. DD is an alto and you could tell that she just loves to sing. some of the girls up on stage were in my girl scout troop until 5th grade. they sure have grown up fast. the concert lasted about 45minutes and was just amazing. I remember being in chorus and feeling so full of life when I sang. I am so glad to see that DD enjoys it just as much. seeing a stage full of teenagers who really enjoy what they are doing is so great. I really needed a night like tonight. I missed GA and I missed survivor but the show that I saw was better than any of them. I guess we really should look into a DVR.

When she asked how late someone would be there for people to pick up their orders today (IOW how late would *I* be there) I said 2:30. When she questioned me about that I told her that I would not put my family thru that again and needed to recover from last night's problems.

They said they have the capabilities...just not in our area. Most of the houses in my area are not brand new. They are all older. I know know if that has anything to do with it or not.goofyforlife said:mmmm sounds like BS to me.... Our neighorborhood is all newer homes. No problems getting DSL here.... In MD some of the more rural areas without the upgraded fibre optic lines do not get DSL...
If fibreoptics were the problem...no one in MD could get DSL... Most of our neighborhoods have been built in the last 5-10 years...
That is funny! Our second DD would get under the table EVERY birthday party she was at when HB was sung. She would cry when it was her BD. Under the table, of course. When she turned 16 she pleaded with us to not have a party so no one would sing at her.Jhalkias said:BTW - speaking of WDW restaurants, Sophia will NOT EVER again enter the 50's Prime Time Cafe . . .
All the acting like your mom and clean your plate stuff she took as real, and she did NOT like it . . . She wanted us out of there ASAP!
She does not like to be fussed over at a restaurant. When her aunt had them sing HB to her at Olive Garden, she hid under the table!

MMcCarthy said:thanks to everyone who gave melast night. I went in today and opened the office again and closed it. My boss did finally come in and we sat down and talked. our budget is extremely tight right now. I thought he might offer a small bonus or something to make up for all the extra time and stress. he basically said that there is very little we can do. we can't pay out the vacation because our personnel policies prohibit that. we can't carryover the vacation time because our personnel policies prohibit that. he did say that if I run out of vacation time next year he would grant me an additional week without any problem. I tried to explain to him that there was no way I would run out of vacation time. I tried to explain to him that I can't take what I earn because of the way the office is structured and operates. He just doesn't get it. I actually did feel better after talking with him because at one point I told him that I was planning on coming in today and telling him he had to do my job for a week without me. He said "there is no way I can do what you do". that did make me feel that he does realize how much I do. I can't wait until Dec 8th. We leave for Indy and catch a plane the next day. I am not going to worry about what happens. I am not going to stress over whether the payroll gets done, or whether the phones work, or whether the computers crash during the check run. Someone else gets to do that for 2 weeks. I don't know who will do it but at this point, I am comfortable with letting it go.
thanks again for the support. you guys are great.

I noticed we were past another mini pirate, and I went back to see who got it - it was ME!
Where's that Becka at to make fun of my small victories?
Maybe Aaron was so overwhelmed with that camera that it is a night of "The Price is Right"!

He could not remember 1 thing that a girl had for her show and tell. The first thing he told me was that the one boy had a tractor. He was funny. I actually took a picture of him holding his first show and tell item!
