Brandi, after you have finished downloading iTunes again, install, and open it. Make sure that your ipod is not connected at this time. (It comes with an 80% charge, and will charge once you connect it after itunes is installed.)
Ok, do you have music on your computer? In iTunes click on File, Add to Library, chose files or folders to add to the iTunes. Make playlists that you like, I find it is easier to load a group of playlist to a nano, then single songs. I also will drag and drop extra single files to the nano that just don't fit with a playlist.
Then connect your iPod. It may take up to one minute the first time to recognize the iPod, this is ok.
Click on the ipod in the left navigation bar.
now your iTunes should show all the catagories that could be on the nano, chose to manually manage iPod. Say Yes to the pop-up.
Click on the music tab, and chose to update selected playlists or do not update, and you will get to drag and drop, playlists and songs to your nano.
Any questions, PM or post. Begin the journey.
