That's nice that you can cook a nice meal for your DH. I tried to make Steve country fried steak once, and I couldn't get the flour to stick. I even tried using a mixture of egg and milk to soak the steak first and then dip it in flour, but when I cooked it the flour kept disintegrating. Steve came home and was so happy that I was cooking for him, but when I told him what was happening, he stuck his finger in the flour, and tasted it, and proclaimed, "Honey, that's powered sugar." So he called it "candied steak." He tossed it out, and made spaghetti.

One time when Rick and I were first married I tried to make homemade biscuits-didn't have buttermilk-mom said if you use a little vinager with the milk it is the same thing.....I didn't know the vinager we had was concentrated-3x the normal......all you could smell and taste was vinager....AWFUL.....all the old nanas know....I AM NOT ALLOWED TO COOK IN MY HOUSE

Morning Nanas!!!! I am having a productive day I just finished mopping the kitchen floor
Yesterday in between screaming at the TV (sorry for interupting your date Jeff ) I put up Xmas decorations
Love to all my BFF's who let me vent about my team last night via NUMEROUS texts

No problem Wendy. By the time the guys at the place we were at figured out how to put on CBS (geniuses they were not) the game was over. It was a perfect day for a Pitt fan, however. Pitt wins big. Penn State loses its chance at a national championship (sorry Okie) and WVU comes back to tie the game only to lose in OT. Wendy, think of LSU winning, Alabama and Florida losing on the same weekend. Same effect.

OMG I just read the bottom of Dawn's post - only a little more than two weeks away I'm starting to have packing anxiety.


Are any adults dressing up for pirate night??

I always have packing anxiety......but I have finally calmed down and figured that if I clean house this weekend, start to iron next weekend, get thanksgiving dinner in order also...then I can pack during the week I'm thinking that should work....at least I hope so ....hmmmm may have to re-think this

However, we do have new rules in place that you should be aware of for you and your traveling companions to learn and memorize before boarding the ship.

Based on our experiences on previous cruises with the "Nana Heads", the following activities are now banned:

1. Cat calls from the "Ladies" (and we use that term loosely) Meet towards our officers and crew.
2. Determination of gender of our Disney characters
3. Butt grabbing in public places
4. Trying to get princesses drunk on tequila and encouraging them to start mosh pits in the Walt theater
5. The tossing of jewelry overboard
6. Using Mickey Gloves for obscene gestures
7. Telling other guests of short stature "You must be this tall ..." to participate in any onboard activities
8. Nanas without their peels
9. Barking dog voice mails
10. Hopping on Mickey's back during his flight on Pirate Night

Lastly, please remember that the Fire Hydrant on Beat Street is DECORATIVE.

I believe I have contracted some kind of bug (again). Gotta love the germs kids bring home from school, huh. Better now than in three weeks though. I am going to watch my real sports love today, Pitt basketball exhibition game. Wanted to go to the alumni game that is starting in 20 minutes but the bug has me moving pretty slow.

So how was everyone's saturday? I went to this demostration yesterday at my sisters....it called Upper case living......has anyone heard of it? Its actually pretty neat.....you can purchase sayings....like.....Enter with a happy heart....they are like transfers that you put on your walls.....they do peel off and leave no marks....my sister had on put on yesterday and they look like they are painted on.....
So I am looking into getting a few......you can put them on anything, mirrows in picture frames, glass block, plates....so I may have to get some creative.....

Well just going to clean house and do some laundry and then take it easy the rest of the day.....13 more work days for me!!!

It was so nice to sleep in today. Jordyn and I did not get up until 9:30 Now I am doing and trying to get the house cleaned up. I need to take down my Halloween decorations too. I probably won't put my Christmas stuff up until Thanksgiving or the day before.

Yep, I have some really nice stuff I bought for over our bed and for my DD's room and they are both still in the case
