Hi Dawn,
No Greg doesnt have today off but he gets off at 2 p.m. Besides he needs to put his check in the bank today and the bank is close to work.

Cant make it to family this year. Our weather is ok but 115 miles from here is terrible. Most main roads are passable but all the side roads are solid ice and snow and we would need to travel for several miles on the side roads.

we will go on New Years day for our get together. Everyone will have that day off so it will work and the roads are suppose to be clear by then.

This would have been the first Christmas in 8 years we would have been together. It is also the first Christmas in about 35 years where there was bad weather, so it just wasnt meant to be, but thats ok.

I am still not feeling 100% so its probably for the best and I certainly dont want anyone risking their lives to get to a family get together.
My other DD and her DH havnt been out to work in over a week and must hike on the ice and snow 1/2 mile to get groceries.
Both their cars have been damaged by sliding into a guard rail and someone sliding into them in a parking lot at the first storm.

I spent the morning listening to Greg tell Minnie & Pixie there is NO Santa I scolded him and assured them there is a Santa and he will be brining my good girls a gift for Christmas but I wasnt too sure if their daddy would be getting anything becuse he has been naughty lately

Telling them such a terrilbe thing, the nerve of him!!!


Pixie wont like one of her presents though. It is a new collar. A shock collar She just wont mind lately, no matter what we try, so its for her own safety we must do this. Hopefully she will catch on quick to "Pixie Come" with the training collar. It delivers a tone to signal her to come when called, if she doesnt come then she gets a shock. The lowest shock on it, at least to start with.

Greg is going to try it on himself first, just to make sure its not too severe a shock. I may turn it up a bit and try to train him better if he doesnt start being nicer about Santa with the girls

My cousin got one of those collars for his black lab and decided to try it on himself first to see what it was like.......he wrapped it around his neck and hit the button............I had to help pick him up off the ground.....he had it set to level 10!!!

I know someone who's husband insisted on putting it on high and of course the dog jumped and yelped really bad. So his wife said he had to try it or she wouldnt let him use it on the dog again!
Basically everytime he zapped the dog she was going to zap him.

Of course he had it on 10 , you know what hapened, besdies wetting his pants.
He immediately turned it down to 1 and trained the dog just fine.

Merry Christmas Eve to all.

Feeling better today. Just returned from a neighbor's Christmas Eve party. It was quite nice. We are getting ready for church..then dinner...then we have to make reindeer food and put it out for Santa's team...then cookies and milk for the big red guy and sleep for all.

My cookies are frosted, laundry is done, cherry pie is baked and deviled eggs are ready,and potato salad is 3/4 done. taters just need to cook a bit more.
