Just got some good news about my friend and neighbor Randy.
Both surgeries went well.
He is already standing and sitting up in a chair which is 3 weeks ahead of schedule:thumbsup2 So he isn't paralized:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

They are going to send him back down to Roseburg for physical therapy which is only 20 minutes away. They say if he continues to do this well, he will be moved later this week.

Plus his ex wife came back from California to help some and is going to get the dogs in 2 or 3 days to go home with her, so they won't be alone so much of the time. They are so lonesome I was thrilled to hear that.

I will still go over every night and play with them until she comes for them

Just thought I would pass on some good news for a change:goodvibes
Now if I could just shake this bad headache:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

well I havnt counted but i know i must be close to the top.
Guess I will keep going until I get there, unless there is a lurker out there waioting to pounce on the top:lmao:

Dawn how long have you taken the boys out of school for when they were in the younger grades. We had hope to take the girls out for a max of 10 days. I may get aeroplan seats...but they would have to miss 13 days min. Do you think that's too long? The plus side is we would have a full week at WDW before we cruised...

I'd say....GO FOR IT!! :woohoo:

Its allot easier for kids to catch up on school work when their younger. Its when they become teenagers that its more difficult.

Most grade school teachers will just give them a few assignments (if any) to catch up, but in Junior High and High school every assignments counts and they have to get them all in or it drops their grade! :scared1:

Also you have to make sure your child is doing good in school. Even if they are in grade school....if they're having a hard time keeping up its probably not a good idea to take them out for very long, but most kids in grade school do just fine.

That's great news about your neighbor. :cool1:

Are you able to take any kind of pain med for your headache? :confused3

I know this bug thats going around causes some really bad headaches....maybe your coming down with it?

Dawn, how is Skylar doing today?

Greg, is the movie any good?
I have wanted to see it and the first Madagascar but havnt had the chance to yet.

The kids loved it....I enjoyed The Journey to the Center of the Earth better myself. :rolleyes1

Madagascar was great. I think we're going to the movies tonight and see part 2. :woohoo:

Greg, your talking about the new version of Journey ot the center of the earth with Brenden Frasier?
I have seen previews but havnt seen the film.
I would like to see it to comapre to the original.

Ya I think its a virus because Greg got it last thursday and still has it, just not as bad and I woke up last night with it.
No other symptons, just the nasty headache, which is enough;)

I wish that were true. Last year when Elizabeth was in third grade and she was going to miss 4 days, she had a MOUNTAIN of homework. This year is even more intense (we live in a scary competitive school district) so I am scared to death of what she is going to have this year - especially because we are leaving on Thanksgiving Day so we don't have that whole day (as we did last year) for her to do homework to get it out of the way I really don't want her to have to bring mounds of homework on vacation with us but I guess that's the price we pay for traveling during school.

Thankfully she is an EXCELLENT student who rarely brings home anything other than an A on a test.

Well I went into the doctor today because I've been having allot of pain in the joints of my shoulder, arm and hand for the past 6-8 weeks.

I thought maybe I was just getting arthritis, but they did a bunch of tests and x-rays (can't wait to get those bills) and couldn't find anything wrong? :sad2:

The doctor gave me some steroids (like I really wanted to start growing B00BS) anyway what ever it did worked.....no pain today!! :woohoo:

The amazing thing is that my back doesn't hurt either?! :yay:

I can't remember the last time my back didn't hurt?

I feel like going outside and building something. :lmao: (if my wife would let me I'd go setup our new 52" plasma tv, but she says I have to wait until Christmas)

I vote with Janel. HANDS OFF UNTIL CHRISTMAS!!!:lmao:
Glad the steroids helped.

Dang Jeff!!! It sounds like your kids are in college!!

When I talked to my kid's teachers and principle they told us to have them each keep a journal of what they did each day while on vacation and they'd take THAT as their home work while they were gone.

I took 2 Excedrin Migraine strength. I have to have food on my stomach or i will get sick, plus I have to crush and disolve them and so when I shoot them in they dont take 30 minutes to dissolve and work, it is like 2 minutes and they hit me hard, which s good and bad.;)

Have you ever tried using the time release caplets? The pellets are so small they shouldn't need to me crushed and it should have the same effect as if you took it by mouth. :confused3

I would be afraid they would clog the tube. The inside is divided into 3 little tubes, so even the smallest of things can and have clogged it before.

I am jumping between the 08 and 09 and 2010. I feel like I am on a merry go round:lmao:

I am going to sign off soon to rest some before taking the pups out again.
Pixie still hasnt done her BIG job yet. She always goes first thing in the morning but not today?
