I guess I've never seen a tube like yours?

Brayden's was just a tube that was a little smaller then a drinking straw.

Dang Jeff!!! It sounds like your kids are in college!!

When I talked to my kid's teachers and principle they told us to have them each keep a journal of what they did each day while on vacation and they'd take THAT as their home work while they were gone.

We have taken Elizabeth out every year since Kindergarten and Kindergarten was the ONLY time that she only had to do the journal. There has been a pile of homework every year since. I'm worried this year because she has a math teacher who, ahem, doesn't seem to do much teaching in school. Although on the other hand, we may help her get ahead since we will actually teach her how to do things.

When she started doing Algebra in 4th grade I knew the world had changed. I think I had my first Algebra in high school. :lmao:

Ya, I've heard of plans to start having kids learn to read at age 3. :sad2:

I figure life is complicated enough without trying to turn our kids into little Einstien's by the time they're 16.

I agree. Just not sure how to stop that train. Plus Elizabeth is SO serious about it. She has taken it upon herself to be really tough on herself. I had to talk her down when she had a test score other than an "A" We spend a lot of time explaining about doing her best vs. getting all A's.

Mine looks like that too accept the inside has 3 individual tubes. One for food, one for meds and one to inflate or deflate the balloon.
even if I tried the granules I would have to add them to liquid to get them to go all the way down and liquid would start the disolving anyway.

I have had 4 of then clog so bad they had to be changed out, so I take no chances anymore. I'd rather put up with a bad feeling for an hour.

Off to walk the girls, back later,

Kathy

I have the same problem with Chayce. He's always gotten straight A's and if he even thinks he might be getting a B he gets really depressed!!

We've had many talks, but it doesn't seem to help.

I just read on the 08 board that Emily is sick. Hope she gets to feeling better soon. :thumbsup2

Count your lucky stars, that is much better than the opposite.:goodvibes
I had one who was plenty smart but was terrible to get to do anything.
Last year of high school he finally started to try and got all A's which continued through college. But the first 12 years yes even in kindergarden was murder on us always having to get after him.

That kid drove me nuts:lmao:

One for food and one for meds huh? That would make it a tight squeeze! :scared1:

Nicole just got home from school. Time to start house cleaning.

We've been really lucky. Chayce and Nicole are the only kids we've got in school right now (the other two are still to young) but both are straight A students.

It kind of surprises me because I can't get Nicole to help do anything at home without threating to paddle her back side.....and even that doesn't always work! :rotfl2:

Well I went into the doctor today because I've been having allot of pain in the joints of my shoulder, arm and hand for the past 6-8 weeks.

I thought maybe I was just getting arthritis, but they did a bunch of tests and x-rays (can't wait to get those bills) and couldn't find anything wrong? :sad2:

The doctor gave me some steroids (like I really wanted to start growing B00BS) anyway what ever it did worked.....no pain today!! :woohoo:

The amazing thing is that my back doesn't hurt either?! :yay:

I can't remember the last time my back didn't hurt?

I feel like going outside and building something. :lmao: (if my wife would let me I'd go setup our new 52" plasma tv, but she says I have to wait until Christmas)

Forget about all the medical stuff, NOW WE KNOW WHAT YOU GOT!! I had a hunch! Are you going to hang it?

Mmmmm....you back doesn't hurt? Steriods? Any side effects? Never have tried them.

I think the longest was two weeks--I don't remember if there were any off days in there. I don't see why it would be too long at their age :confused3 My boys always got more out of the trip than what they would have learned at school. For example, I went out of my way to research the Epcot countries, do the passports, add the hidden Mickeys, learn about the white tigers, etc. did a little spelling in there too! Talk about the different types of music. We always made a journal every day--picture and something about the favorite thing that they did that day.

When were you thinking about going again? I'm already trying to figure out what we are going to do next year.

At this point the cruise depends totally on airfare. But if we cruise you should come with us:goodvibes :goodvibes

We got a really good rate on the October 31st - 7night western cruise. $2800 for the 4 of us...at the time it was $600 more for us to sail on the nana cruise. Our plan was to stop in Toronto to visit my brothers family before the cruise. Since he lives 5 hours from the airport we really liked the idea of driving in October then in late November do to winter driving and rental cars not having snow tires. We also really enjoyed the Halloween party at the Magic Kingdom when the girls were babies and would love to take them again. If we do the Halloween cruise we know we want to come home on Nov 7th so that will allow us to try to book our airfare this weekend. The seats now book up instantly...so please send me lots of pixiedust: It was easy getting the seats for our last cruise:confused3 The strange thing is our CN$$ was great at the time:confused3
The good news is today DCL lowered the cost of the nana cruise and it would cost us $3000 for the 4 of us...so if we do not get the airfare for October this new cruise rate will work with our budget and we will try to get airline seats for November but again it will be luck to get the seats.

At least I should know by this weekend if we can do the October 31 cruise.

We will try for airfare or anytime during this period. They opened cat 12 rooms for the 09 Nana cruise today $3000 for the 4 of us.

Got to close a party...I'll catch up on everyones post a little later.

That is soooo much higher than I've ever paid! For the 3 of us in Cat 11, I only paid $2300 ($1600 plus taxes)! Last year, was $100 less than that! I think I rather spend 10 days at Disney :confused3 I don't know what to do. I'm going to listen to the deal that they'll give me on board though.

:dance3:
Forget about all the medical stuff, NOW WE KNOW WHAT YOU GOT!! I had a hunch! Are you going to hang it?
Ya, I bought a wall mounting kit to hang it on the wall. We also got a Pioneer THX certified 7.1 stereo system and Blu Ray player to go with it. :woohoo:

I also ordered Cars, Sleeping Beauty, all three Pirates of the Caribbean movies, both National Treasures and Journey to the Center of the Earth on Blu Ray so we can watch them during Christmas break. :cool1:

Mmmmm....you back doesn't hurt? Steriods? Any side effects? Never have tried them.

In all honesty I wasn't even going to use them because I didn't think they would work, but my wife made me take them and they worked?! :cloud9:

I have no idea if there are any side effects to the steroids. They aren't for long term use. My prescription is only good for about 2 weeks.

The doctor says if the pain comes back after my pills run out he'll give me a steroid injection that should last for 3-4 months or longer. :scared1:

We paid $2600 last year...we were okay with $2800 but not much more then that...the worst part is we have no idea where our room will be:confused3 I prefer not to be under beat street again. Right now do to available airfare we plan on spending 6 nights at WDW right before the cruise starting Oct 25...we have a few days left on our passes and also want to go to the party. We'll know more soon.

Just got some good news about my friend and neighbor Randy.
Both surgeries went well.
He is already standing and sitting up in a chair which is 3 weeks ahead of schedule:thumbsup2 So he isn't paralized:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

They are going to send him back down to Roseburg for physical therapy which is only 20 minutes away. They say if he continues to do this well, he will be moved later this week.

Plus his ex wife came back from California to help some and is going to get the dogs in 2 or 3 days to go home with her, so they won't be alone so much of the time. They are so lonesome I was thrilled to hear that.

I will still go over every night and play with them until she comes for them

Just thought I would pass on some good news for a change:goodvibes
Now if I could just shake this bad headache:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

kathy

That's great!:goodvibes
