Have a great day all! I have to do my weekly shopping then off to swimming with Kierra.

Evening everyone.

I had to pick Chayce up from football practice a few hours ago then bring him home and let him shower, eat then run him 30 miles north to the sand dunes where the scouts are having a camp out.

Tomorrow morning I've got to go back up to the sand dunes and get him about 7:30am because he has a football game 60 miles south that starts at 9:30am.

I need a vacation!

My best friends daughter got her babysitting course this spring...so she babysits for me They live across the street so her mom is there if she needs anything which is nice. She is the oldest of 4 and considers my girls as her little sisters...she is such a sweetie

It's raining but it's warm so the soccer game will probably go as scheduled No thunder or anything.

Then we come home and relax for a couple of days!

Back from the soccer game, IT POURED! Sat outside for the first half and moved to the van for the second. It was so wet that the umbrella started leaking by the top seam!

We had a tornado pass through about 5 o'clock. Actually touchdown in Paw Paw near the Julian Winery.

Playing Runescape with Christian. Skylar is spending the night with a friend.

Been a busy day around here today.

I was running kids here and there all morning then came home and fell asleep for a couple of hours.

Holly kept me up most of the night because she's figured out how to turn her TV on by herself. I'd go in and turn it off then I'd be almost asleep and I'd hear the tv back on again. Finally pulled the plug about 3am then she started with the radio!!

Hi everyone,

I know you are all in bed but I thought I would drop by to say I amde it hope safely and had a good visit.
We arrived 2 hours later than planned.

WE helped Peter move one load of stuff and that really slowed us down.

Got home 7 p.m. our time.
We stopped and brought home KFC for Greg and the pups

Got to catch some news about the hurricane to see what happened today.

catch you tomorrow, I will be grocery shopping in the morning my time.

Pretty horrible about Texas

Nothing much going on today...I am cooking chicken, potatoes, turnip, carrott and brocolli for lunch and chocolate cake. This afternoon I have to sign Kierra up for Sparkes(Girl Guides) andd we may go for a family swim.

I don't think I've ever had turnips. What do they taste like? Is that a casserole you're making? I made the fresh green beans,bacon and potatoes for dinner last night and then Skylar was gone. One of will eat that today.

Rain, rain go away! Lots of rain yesterday and today remants of Ike coming in. There is alot of flooding in our area. Did you see Chicago on the weather channel yesterday!! They think that 2 tornadoes touched down in the Paw Paw area yesterday. A new siren was installed at our fire department down the road about 1 1/2 years ago. We now can hear the siren pretty well! I like that! We weren't watching tv yesterday when they went off.

I think Elizabeth is going to come over later to play. I'll probably do some sewing. This coming week is a busy week. Soccer on M,T,Th and S. Guitar is now on Wed while soccer is on. I won't have Kofi this week so that will help.

Turnip is the same as rutabaga..have you had that before? You can prepare it many different ways and most people here like boiling it and mashing it with butter and pepper...I just boil it...it has a strong taste but it's pretty much a staple here just like potatos and carrots. The girls liked turnip, potatos and carrot all mashed together with a little gravy.

Nope, never have had rutabaga. Both the boys rarely eat potatoes. Skylar will eat some but Christian maybe only a couple fries maybe--rarely does he eat them!

i finally got done shopping and part of the clothes washed and dried.
now we are going to get ready to watch a video of our first cruise ever.

The 08 board is dashing to finish up their thread and we have 20 pages to go!!

Looks like they will beat us after all

I will be back later and I am going to post and post and apost to see how far we can get by tomorrow afternoon.
