Hello I'm here!! :thumbsup2

Had a meet the teachers night at the school this evening and we needed to talk to them about the kids missing school for two weeks.

They were all very supportive and said they would be willing to work with the kids to help keep them caught up before and after we get home. :woohoo:

We told the kids the other night that we were thinking about going somewhere to spend Thanksgiving.

I asked them where they would like to go? The following were mentioned....Las Vegas :rotfl2: , Seaside Oregon, Hawaii, St. George Utah.....at this point I tried to open their minds to other possibilities....I said "well what about Daytona Beach?" There eyes got very big...."where is Daytona Beach" they said? I showed them a the globe....eyes got even bigger!!

Yes, lets go to Daytona Beach! Next I said "well how about Orlando, its not very far away from Daytona Beach"....again I had to show them on the globe where it was (my kids don't know anything about Orlando or whats there...thank goodness!!!) :lmao:

Once I showed them where it was they said...."No we'd rather go to Daytona Beach because its by the ocean and the condo has a lazy river and big pool." :rotfl:

I said "well I think the condo in Orlando has a big pool with a pirate ship".....I showed them pictures.....there eyes got huge!!....Yes, lets go to Orlando!! (my kids were like puddy in my hands) :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

They think we're going to Orlando for Thanksgiving and they have no idea that Disney World is there!! :rotfl:

What a small world you live in Master Jack...They will be thrilled.

Speaking of men,

Melanie, your on the naughty ladies list, you need to say hello too, we miss all of you.

Kathy

I JUST HAPPENED to check in just in time to catch this!!;)

I haven't been on for a long time, I must have had a premonition.:lmao:

I've just been working a lot and haven't felt like messing around on the computer since I've been working on it so much!

We hope to leave tomorrow night for a friday and saturday night alone (no kids!) to attend the Iowa/Iowa State game in Iowa City. We are planning to take the camper (my birthday is sunday) BUT... Jackson...of course... has gotten SICK!

So we'll see. My MIL is supposed to be taking care of them, but I don't know if she even knows how to run the nebulizer. And I wasn't going to see her before she got here so I wouldn't have time to show her. So now I don't know what to do:confused3

I was really looking forward to this weekend a lot too...:sad2:

Who's Master Jack? :confused3

I can't wait to see my kids faces when they really find out what we're doing!! :lmao:

That's too cute! The best part is they have no idea what to expect...you are going to have such a magical time:goodvibes

My girls liked Las Vegas too:goodvibes However they do think everyone in the US lives in Florida and Orlando:lmao: We will be surprise them with the cruise though...we are planning to do a stopover to visit family so I are going to forget to mention that we are going on the cruise...they want to go so bad;)

Good Morning Nana's

Hi Dawn:wave2:
Hi Kathy:wave2:
Hi Greg:wave2:

On the way to get the car serviced.

Then I am on the great big treasure hunt...I usually don't do those things but our local radio station that I listen too has been having clues on the radio...I haven't been paying alot of attention but this morning clue made somewhere come to mind and since the prize is $10,000 I think I may go and look...that is if I can get in:goodvibes

Who's Master Jack? :confused3

Ok, I guess I'm showing MY age. There were 2 movies out with Master Jack--probably early 70s with the character Master Jack--there was also a song. Can't think what his name was, I can see him. Kathy can you help me out?

Good Morning everyone!

No Kofi today. I have a day off. :) I need to sew and go get some milk. I think Elizabeth is going to stop by while her mother goes to the store. I think we'll watch some Mickey so I get to hold her and smell her. I could find her with a blindfold on--she smells so good. :lovestruc

Jaime, Can't wait to hear about this savenger hunt! Get in where? I'm intrigued.

Kathy, Did you do anything special last night? It sure was hot there! :confused3

I'll check in often today.

Melanie, So glad to hear from you. I understand the computer thing. When you're on it all day you sure don't want to get on it when you don't have to! But we miss you! I hope the weekend trip goes!

Jaime, There are quite a few Halloween fabrics on ebay this morning. A couple reasonably priced. Search under Mickey Mouse fabric.

Morning everyone,

Hi Melanie, I am soooooo happy you stopped by. I sure hope you can still get your weekend ok. I hope you will drop by soon, dont wait so long this time, ok?:lovestruc

Dawn, I did remember Master Jack even without the video.:thumbsup2
4 Jacks and a Jill. I dont think they ever had another hit that I can remember.
Didnt do anything different or special last night.
Greg had some work to get done from work. It was 91 yesterday, so we relaxed and watched Burn Notice and walked the dogs. That was it.

Hi Jaime,
do the treasure hunt!!
We had one on the radio when I was about 10 andit was for a motorcycle. My mom figured it out and we went ot find where they hid the key. If you find the key you win the cycle.
she told us it was on the bleachers at a park in Portland. my brother and I went and searched everywhere for it, didnt find it. While we were gone she heard ont he radio it was found, right where she had sent us :sad2: if we had been 30 minutes sooner, we would of had it. But it was a lot of fun even without winning.
I didnt know they still did that kind of thing. I love it, trying to figure out the clues.

well its still cold here today. I had to put my jeans on and turn on the furnance. Still in the upper 40's, but headed for 95 today:confused3
Thats Oregon, freeze at night, roast during the day:lmao:

Guess I shouldnt complain. soon it will be cold and we will be lucky if it hits 50 for a high and the lows will be int he 20's and 30's.

Greg, I love Seaside Oregon.

we use to take the kids there a lot. I think we stayed at the Best Western right on the beach with a nice enclosed pool. You can walk to anything there which is so nice.
Of course they still have the old carousel and all the kids love to ride it.
we had one of those pictures where you dress up in costumes.
we dressed up in old west clothes. The girls were dance hall girls, and the men were outlaws and the sheriff including guns andf hats, it was alot of fun.

That picture is packed or I would share it. it is one of my favorite family pnotos.

well off to checkout the 08 board,

Kathy

Well it took alot longer getting the car done then I thought! Almost 3 hours:scared1: we had a undercoat put on it and it ended up all over the car...what a greesy mess! I have to wait 24 hours to wash the car...

So I just got a new clue and it said it was in the dark...so I might actually be in the right direction...it would be pretty neat to find it...just got to get time to go looking.

Yup...someone kidknap their number 9 and they are paying $10,000 to whoever finds it..the crazy kidnapper interupts songs on the radio with clues...she sounds like the joker form the batman movie:lmao: I was't paying much attention too it at first but Kierra is always listening to the radio and she started telling me the clues...they are usually very simple but now they are starting to come together.:goodvibes
